The coarse pointing assembly (CPA), as the outer loop of the laser terminal, its tracking stability is the basis for ensuring laser communication. This paper presents the model of the CPA. Aiming at the disturbance factors in the low-speed operation process of the CPA, an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) method for the position loop of the CPA is designed based on the generalized proportional integral observer (GPIO) to achieve disturbance compensation control. Finally, simulations are carried out on the system model. The simulation results show that compared with the PID control strategy adopted, the proposed ADRC strategy based on GPIO of the CPA can effectively improve the tracking accuracy.

Stabilization with Prescribed Instant via Lyapunov Method

This letter investigates the prescribed-instant stabilization problem for high-order integrator systems. In anothor word, the settling time under the presented controller is independent of the initial conditions and equals the prescribed time instant. The controller is designed with the concept of backstepping. A strict proof based on the Lyapunov method is presented to clamp the settling time to the prescribed time instant from both the left and right sides. This proof serves as an example to present a general framework to verify the designed stabilization property. It should be emphasized that the prescribed-time stability (PSTS) [1] can only prescribe the upper bound of the settling time and is different from this work. Selecting the most relevant subset of features from a dataset is a vital step in data mining and machine *** feature in a dataset has 2n possible subsets,making it challenging to select the optimum collection of features using typical *** a result,a new metaheuristicsbased feature selection method based on the dipper-throated and grey-wolf optimization(DTO-GW)algorithms has been developed in this *** can result when the selection of features is subject to metaheuristics,which can lead to a wide range of ***,we adopted hybrid optimization in our method of optimizing,which allowed us to better balance exploration and harvesting chores more *** propose utilizing the binary DTO-GW search approach we previously devised for selecting the optimal subset of *** the proposed method,the number of features selected is minimized,while classification accuracy is *** test the proposed method’s performance against eleven other state-of-theart approaches,eight datasets from the UCI repository were used,such as binary grey wolf search(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf,and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bMGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bMVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hysteresis optimization(bHy),and binary hysteresis optimization(bHWO).The suggested method is superior 4532 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 and successful in handling the problem of feature selection,according to the results of the experiments.

The hybrid electric powertrains can utilize bidirectional buck converters to charge the battery while driving and discharge it when extra power is required. In order to increase the power density, the wide-bandgap switches should be used. These switches have bidirectional conductivity mode as they are metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFET) and the utilization of the freewheeling diode is undesirable due to high voltage drop across it and much higher losses in conducting mode. This paper proposes the combined control strategy which implements continuous conducting mode at high and active discontinuous conducting mode at low currents. The use of model predictive control allows to minimize the conducting losses by means of reverse conductivity mode of the switches. The paper provides derivation of the combined control strategy. Then, the simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Finally, the simulation was performed with various errors in the definition of the system parameters.

On the Equilibrium of a Class of Leader-Follower Games with Decision-Dependent Chance Constraints

In this paper, we study the existence of equilibrium in a single-leader-multiple-follower game with decision-dependent chance constraints (DDCCs), where decision-dependent uncertainties (DDUs) exist in the constraints of followers. DDUs refer to the uncertainties impacted by the leader’s strategy, while the leader cannot capture their exact probability distributions. To address such problems, we first use decision-dependent ambiguity sets under moment information and Cantelli’s inequality to transform DDCCs into second-order cone constraints. This simplifies the game model by eliminating the probability distributions. We further prove that there exists at least one equilibrium point for this game by applying Kakutani’s fixed-point theorem. Finally, a numerical example is provided to show the impact of DDUs on the equilibrium of such game models. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In recent years,there are numerous studies on chaotic systems with special equilibrium curves having various shapes such as circle,butterfly,heart and *** paper describes a new 3-D chaotic dynamical system with a capsule-shaped equilibrium *** proposed chaotic system has two quadratic,two cubic and two quartic nonlinear *** is noted that the proposed chaotic system has a hidden attractor since it has an infinite number of equilibrium *** is also established that the proposed chaotic system exhibits multi-stability with two coexisting chaotic attractors for the same parameter values but differential initial states.A detailed bifurcation analysis with respect to variations in the system parameters is portrayed for the new chaotic system with capsule equilibrium *** have shown MATLAB plots to illustrate the capsule equilibrium curve,phase orbits of the new chaotic system,bifurcation diagrams and *** an engineering application,we have proposed a speech cryptosystem with a numerical algorithm,which is based on our novel 3-D chaotic system with a capsule-shaped equilibrium *** proposed speech cryptosystem follows its security evolution and implementation on Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA)*** results show that the proposed encryption system utilizes 33%of the FPGA,while the maximum clock frequency is 178.28 MHz.

Due to the high dimension of industrial process data, there are aliasing areas when building hyper-spheres of different types of data by the SVDD algorithm, which will lead to inaccurate results in condition identification. A data classification method based on Local Neighbor Density Similarity Support Vector Data Description (LNDS-SVDD) is proposed to address this issue. Utilizing the local similar density in discriminating data similarity, the LNDS-SVDD can further judge the classification of samples distributed in the aliasing area using the density information. In this paper, a randomly generated synthetic data set and a real industrial process data set is used for simulating the proposed data classification algorithm. The results indicate that the classification accuracy is high, which is an effective condition identification method for the industrial process.

In this paper, we show that Prescribed Performance control (PPC) is a model-free control Barrier Function (CBF)-based control approach. Specifically, we establish that a function utilized in the PPC design is a Time-Varying Reciprocal control Barrier Function (TVRCBF). We demonstrate that PPC satisfies the same gradient condition that is well-known in the CBF literature, ensuring forward invariance. As a result, the control inputs generated by the PPC law belong to the input set characterized by the TVRCBF. Apart from assuming a certain controllability property, no further knowledge on the system dynamics is required. Our theoretical findings improve the understanding of the relationship between PPC and other CBF-based controllers. The theoretical results are validated through numerical simulations.

TCP ensures reliable transmission through its stateful implementation and remains crucial today. TCP performance profiling is essential for tasks like diagnosing network performance problems, optimizing transmission performance, and developing new TCP variants, etc. Existing profiling methods lack enough attention to TCP state transition to provide detailed insights on TCP performance. Thus, we build TcpSight, a tool focusing on TCP state transition throughout connection lifetimes. TcpSight conducts stateful analysis by capturing key events using an efficient per-connection lock-free data management mechanism. Besides, TcpSight enhances profiling by integrating application layer information collected from the TCP stack. With the profiling results, users can identify the culprit of TCP performance degradation, and evaluate the performance of TCP algorithms. We design optional modules and filtering mechanisms to reduce TcpSights overhead. Our evaluation presents that TcpSight incurs an additional CPU consumption of about 16.6% (without filtering) and 10.6% (with filtering) when the server's load is 55.7%, and generates storage consumption about 1.88 KB per connection on average. We also give application cases of TcpSight and the deployment experiences in Alibaba Cloud. TcpSight helps in revealing meaningful findings and insights into exploiting TCP in the production deployment. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Synchronization Stability of Grid-Tied VSC With control Limiters: Models, Solutions, and Boundaries

Existing studies on large-signal synchronization stability of the grid-following voltage-source converters (VSCs) have been focused on the phase-locked loop (PLL). Saturation nonlinearities introduced by current or voltage limiters, which can emerge during large disturbances, could greatly complicate the instability mechanism of PLL-synchronized converters. However, limited attention has been paid to such saturation-induced instability issues in prior work. This paper investigates the large-signal synchronization stability of grid-tied VSCs with full consideration to two typical kinds of saturation nonlinearities in the VSC's control system: the current hard limiter and the voltage circular limiter. The conditions under which the VSC may enter a saturated state are revealed. The impacts of hard and circular limiters on the system transient dynamics are analyzed separately. A unified differential equation (UDE) model that combines both kinds of limiters is proposed for quantitative analysis of synchronization stability. Subsequently, the averaging-theory-based analysis approximately solves the UDE model and provides the analytical large-signal stability boundaries of the system. The impacts of various factors, including operating conditions, PLL parameters, limiter thresholds, and active/reactive current control strategies, on the synchronization stability are investigated based on the proposed model. The effectiveness of theoretical analyses is validated via time-domain simulation and control hardware-in-the-loop tests. © 1986-2012 IEEE.
