In this paper, a deep residual network based on convolutional block attention module (CBAM) is proposed, which is utilized for feature extraction of partially occluded face expression data. The proposed method overcomes the problem of localized occlusion face feature extraction by focusing on the regions and channels containing important information in the occluded face data through CBAM. Multi-task cascaded convolutional networks (MTCNN) are firstly utilized to localize the key regions of face emotion, and then deep emotion features are extracted by CBAM-ResNet network. The final emotion labels are generated. The effectiveness of this paper's method is verified on the RAF-DB dataset and the occluded CK+ dataset. The experimental accuracy in the RAF-DB dataset is 76.3%, which is 3.74% and 1.64% higher than the accuracy produced by the method of RGBT, and the WLS-RF, respectively. Application experiments are carried out in the real teaching scenario, which verifies the applicability of the algorithm in the real teaching scene. © 2023 IEEE.

Integrated energy system (IES) is an advanced configuration that combines electrical energy, thermal energy, and renewable energy, into a unified system. In recent years, the architecture of IES has gradually changed from vertical integration to interactive competition, and its distributed characteristics have become increasingly evident. Therefore, traditional centralized optimization strategies can no longer meet the current practical situation. In this paper, a low-carbon optimization dispatch for IES based on Stackelberg game and kriging metamodel is proposed. In order to address this problem, firstly, three typical models containing hydrogen blending gas technology and a kind of ladder-type carbon trading mechanism considering reward and punishment (RP-LCTM) are established. Secondly an integrated energy manager (IEM) is introduced and a Stackelberg game model with the IEM as the leader and three typical IESs as followers is established. Finally, the kriging metamodel is used to optimize the transaction electricity price. During the game process, the IPSO algorithm is used to optimize electricity prices in key price regions. At last, an experimental example is utilized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper investigates the formation control problem for a multi-robotic fish system and a distributed event-triggered-based formation control framework is proposed. The framework consists of a communication topology, a distributed formation control law, and a dynamic event-triggered communication mechanism. In particular, a position-based formation control law is presented to drive the multi-robotic fish system to an anticipated configuration based on local measurements while keeping pace with a moving target. Meanwhile, a dynamic event-triggered mechanism is utilized to measure importance of the interactive information and decide the communication timing. The proposed formation control method shows its merits to greatly reduce communication consumption with a limited loss of formation control performance. Finally, simulations with quantitative comparisons are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed framework. This formation control framework provides a solid foundation for future marine cooperative control of the multi-robotic fish system. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Estimating camera motion and continuously reconstructing dense scenes in deformable environments presents a complex and open challenge. Many existing approaches tend to rely on assumptions about the scene’s topology or the nature of deformable motion. However, these assumptions do not hold true in medical endoscopy applications. To address these challenges, we introduce DDS-SLAM, a novel dense deformable semantic neural SLAM that achieves accurate camera tracking, continuous dense scene reconstruction, and high-quality image rendering in deformable scenes. First, we propose a novel hybrid neural scene representation method capable of capturing both natural and artificial deformations. Additionally, by leveraging the 2D semantic information of the scene, we introduce a semantic loss function based on semantic distance fields. This approach guides network optimization at a higher level, thereby enhancing system performance. Furthermore, we validate our method through a series of experiments conducted on several representative medical datasets, demonstrating its superiority over other state-of-the-art approaches. Autonomous mobility is increasing its popularity day by day. Mapping, localization, planning, and control are the main research topics of autonomous systems. The performance of localization directly depends on the map quality. This paper aims to show how to improve mapping performance, by increasing the measurements and number of tours. In this context, using the GMapping package of the ROS platform, the mapping performance of two lidars located in different regions and heights of the wheelchair, working separately and together, is examined. In addition, the mapping performance according to the number of tours in the mapped region is also tested. As a result, it is confirmed that the results obtained using two lidars are more successful than a single lidar. Additionally, loop closure's effect on increasing the map quality is shown in the paper. © 2022 IEEE.

The short circuit current characteristics of LCC-HVDC transmission system are directly related to the action characteristics of AC protection at the inverter side. However, the single-end equivalent model of the existing LCC-HVDC transmission system regards the sending end as a pure traditional AC power supply, and the equivalent error is large when the sending end contains a high proportion of new energy. Based on the dynamic phasor equivalent calculation framework, this paper establishes a single-end equivalent model of the LCC-HVDC transmission system based on the AC information of the inverter side only, and analyzes the impact of different new energy proportion scenarios on the single-end equivalent error and the causes of the error. In this paper, simulation verification is carried out under the scenario of multiple new energy ratios at the sending end. The results show that the simulation error of the single-end equivalent model increases with the increase of the proportion of new energy, which reduces the credibility of the single-end equivalent calculation. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2023.

This paper investigates the relationship between the output performance of PMSM and the number of the Halbach magnetic segments. The static magnetic simulation models of the Halbach with three to seven segments are established, and the spatial harmonic distribution of these magnetic arrays under the static magnetic field is analyzed. The simulation date indicates that the five-segment configuration has the best suppression effect on the 5th harmonic, and the seven-segment Halbach magnet array has the maximum fundamental amplitude of magnetic flux density. Then, the transient magnetic simulation models of these magnetic configuration are established by FEM, and the dynamic performance in PMSM is simulated and analyzed. By comparing the simulation data, it indicates that the electromagnetic output performance of five-segment magnetic configuration is the best. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Plate and frame filter press is an important solid-liquid separation equipment that plays an important role in many fields. The filter plate is one of the core components of the frame filter press, and its main function is to support the filter cloth and form a filter chamber. After the filtration process of the filter press is completed, a large number of impurities are often attached to the filter plate, so it is of great value to study the impurity cleaning problem of the filter plate of the plate and frame filter press. In this paper, aiming at the cleaning process of the filter plate of the plate and frame filter press, the image information of the filter plate is obtained by visual means, and then the image is analyzed and processed to obtain the position information of the impurities of the filter plate, the path planning of the obtained position information is carried out, and finally the robot is made to complete the cleaning task efficiently and accurately according to the planned path, which has certain practical value.
