In order to solve the inevitable data collision in competitive datalink random access of wireless sensors networking, this paper provides a blind property restoral maximum likelihood (ML) approach for demodulating multiple co-channel digital signals received synchronously at an antenna array. The finite alphabet property of digital signal combining with ML is analyzed, the array response and symbol sequence for each signal simultaneously are also estimated, which can obtain better approximation to the system performance of initial time-delay and throughput. Such works are confirmed by computer simulation and field-testing data verification.

A new nonlinear control algorithm using dynamic inversion, wavelet neural network and sliding mode control was presented. The dynamic inversion theory was used to approximately linearize the nonlinear system, the system error was compensated by capable of on-line learning wavelet neural network, A stable weights adaptive adjustment rule was derived by using Lyapunov stability theorem, and the system robustness was guaranteed by using sliding mode control and robustness control component. This control law was applied to one STT missile control system, and output-redefinition approach was adopted to resolve the non-minimum phase problem of original system. Simulation results slows that this control law can eliminate the influence from disturbance availably, raise the precision of missile overload control system response.

In the work is presented the concept of a precision matrix being the reverse of a covariance matrix and presented modifications of Kalman filter equations enabling the use of measurements, for which the distribution of error is described by the singular precision matrix. Such a situation occurs, when the number of degrees of freedom of measuring result is less than dimensional space, in which the measurement is made. The precision matrix easily enables the description of this type of measurement, in addition estimators' formulae using the precision matrix are much more simple.

In this paper, considering the imperfect (incomplete, imprecise, uncertain, inconsistent) information sources in information fusion, To avoid and reduce the influence of the mistaken or misleading information on the final precision of fusion, the ESMS (evidence supporting measure of similarity) filter is designed and added to generalized fusion machine (GFM), and an ESMS function (not unique) to select evidence sources before the multi-sources information entering into the Fusion Machine is proposed and proved. Due to considering the barycentre of belief masses in four cases respectively, the fusion result becomes more precise. At last, we apply the new tool coupling with the fusion machine based on DSmT and PCR5 to robotpsilas robot perception. It shows a better performance in solving the challenging work with ESMS filter than that without one.

作者： Joseph F. Yurso President Joseph F. Yurso:is currently director of technical development for Q.E.D. Systems Inc. He received a Bachelors of Science in mechanical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and an Masters of Science in mechanical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. He also completed a special management program at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to entering the Navy as an engineering duty officer Mr. Yurso was a refrigeration and air conditioning engineer for the Bureau of Ships. His Navy experience includes engineer officer of a combatant ship submarine type desk quality assurance officer and production officer in naval shipyards and planning officer quality assurance officer and deputy supervisor in Supervisor of Shipbuilding offices. His two command tours were as Supervisor of Shipbuilding Groton Connecticut (1980-81) and Shipyard Commander Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Kittery Maine (1981-84). He was awarded the Legion of Merit for both of these tours. Mr. Yurso has been a member of ASNE since 1964. He is a life member and a sustaining member of the Society. He has been active in several Sections including Charleston Northern and Southern New England and Tidewater. He is a former chairman of the Tidewater Section and was the chairman of the ASNE Fleet Maintenance Symposium in 1991. He served as Council vice president from 1993 to 1996 and as a member of Council for six years. He was a contributing author to the Society's first edition of Naval Engineering and American Sea Power. In 1993 he was awarded the Frank G. Law Award for his dedication and longtime service to the Society. Mr. Yurso maintains memberships in other societies including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Sigma Xi the American Society for Quality Control Naval Institute and Tidewater Association of Service Contractors. He has held registered professional engineer status in two states and is listed inWho's Who in Science and Engineering.

A new nonlinear control algorithm of combining dynamic inversion, wavelet net and sliding mode control has been developed. The nonlinear dynamic theory is used to approximate linearization of the nonlinear system, the system dynamic inversion error is compensated by wavelet net which is capable of online learning. The adaptive weights adjustment rule is derived by using Lyapunov stability theory, and the system robustness is guaranteed by using sliding mode control and robustness control. The presented nonlinear control algorithm is applied to one STT missile control system. The simulation results show the proposed algorithm can eliminate the influence brought by disturbance availably, raise the precision of missile overload control system response

The recent explosive growth of multimedia information in many applications requires advanced techniques for multimedia information retrieval (MIR). Audio is one of Important media in multimedia and contains abundant information. Recent development in MIR has revealed that audio information can provide effective contents to retrieve multimedia information. Consequently, it has been paid more and more attention to how to classify audio information. Many existing and new research issues can lead to improve the retrieval efficiency, effectiveness, and accessibility. This paper provides a hybrid classification method for audio indexing and retrieval. It firstly describes main audio characteristics and features and the basic theory of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Independent Component Analysis (ICA). Finally, the hybrid method that integrates ICA and SVM is presented and applied into audio classification. © 2006 IEEE.

The U. S. Coast Guard is part of the Department of Transportation (DOT)) team to expand the maritime Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) service into a national transportation safety system. The U. S. Coast Guard's role is to implement a Nationwide DGPS (NDGPS) expansion effort to more than double the existing number of broadcast sites. The NDGPS system is designed to meet all surface transportation navigation requirements in the United States and will provide double terrestrial DGPS coverage across the continental United States. The USCG uses 285-325 kHz (Medium Frequency) to broadcast corrections which provide signal for up to 250 nautical miles. Unfortunately, this frequency range typically requires 340-foot towers for short monopole (tenth of a wavelength) implementation typically discussed in textbooks. Because of the unusually long wavelength, several years of consulting, modeling, and testing were required before fully understanding how to meet system requirements given the severe constraints imposed by practical implementation. The electrically short antennae places increased pressure and complexity for the Antenna Tuning Unit (ATU) to maintain a 50 + 0j Ohm load for all weather conditions. Legacy equipment lacks the sophistication to maintain a 50 Ohm, low VSWR condition, resulting in transmitter mismatches, amplifier failures, extended off-air periods, excessive technician call outs and exhausted sparing and depot maintenance. An all weather ATU presents itself as a tool to significantly improve system availability. The desire to develop, build, and field an all weather ATU started with a carefully laid out plan to incorporate the engineering process with the required contracting process to serve as a vehicle to evaluate emerging technology fairly while providing options for design improvement, quality control, and efficient production and fielding. The United States Coast Guard is engaged in a project to re-capitalize Reference Station (RS) and Integrity Monitor (IM) equipment used in the Nationwide Differential Global Position System (NDGPS). The Coast Guard in partnership with industry is developing a new software application to run on an open architecture platform as a replacement for legacy equipment. Present commercially available off-the-shelf Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) RS and IM equipment lacks the open architecture required to support long term goals and future system improvements. The utility of the proposed new hardware architecture and software application is impressive - nearly every aspect of performance and supportability significantly exceeds that of the legacy archetecture. The flexibility of the new hardware and software architectures complement each other to offer promising possibilities for the future. For example, the new hardware architecture uses Ethernet for internal and external site equipment communications. Each Local Area Network (LAN) will be equiped with a router and two 24 port switches. Various levels of password protection are provided to manage security both locally and remotely. While the new software application directly supports the legacy RS-232/422 interfaces to devices such as GPS receivers, a system design goal includes the ability to directly address each device from NCS. With the use of TCP/IP to RS-232/422 port server devices, the system can meet these forward reaching goals while supporting legacy equipment. New system capabilities include remote software management, remote hardware configuration management, and flexible options for management of licenses. The new configurable RS and IM architecture is a PC-based emulation of legacy reference station and integrity monitor equipment. It supports fluid growth and exploitation of new signals, formats, and technology as they become available, while remaining backward compatible with legacy architecture
