Software reliability is an important factor for evaluating software quality in the domain of safety-critical software. Traditional software reliability growth models (SRGMs) only uses the failure data produced in a testing process to evaluate the software reliability and its growth. However, the number and severity of the failures uncovered are determined by the effectiveness and efficiency of testing process. Therefore, an unbiased reliability prediction has to take test process knowledge into account. In this paper, we proposed a neural network based reliability prediction method to utilize the testing process metrics to correlate testing process knowledge with failure prediction. The metrics designed in this paper cover information from the system under test (SUT), design of testing, software failure and repair process. The method is validated through the testing process data collected from a real embedded operating system. And the results show a fairly accurate prediction capability. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

Pressurizer water level is a vital parameter for marine pressurized water reactors (PWR). Operators use it as key evidence to comprehend reactors' operating conditions and identify their transients. Aiming at problems such as false water level and water level depression due to measurement faults, this paper applied deep learning techniques to the reconstruction on nuclear facilities' parameters. Considering the timing features of PWR operation, a reconstruction model for pressurizer water level were developed upon Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU) recurrent neural network theory. Six parameters highly coupled with pressurizer water level, including the average temperatures of reactor inlet and outlet, the pressure and temperature of pressurizer, the main coolant flow in primary circuit and reactor power, were selected as characteristic input parameters for the reconstruction model. By collecting the operating data of a marine PWR simulator whose reactor power transiently increased from 30% to 90%, the reconstructive pressurizer water levels were tested. The findings showed that the Mean Absolute Error(MAE) resulted from the GRU reconstruction model 0.003345. Compared with BP neural network models, the GRU model was not only able to more accurately approximate the true water level value, but also demonstrated better robustness, stability and convergence rate.

A new nonlinear control algorithm of combining dynamic inversion, wavelet net and sliding mode control has been developed. The nonlinear dynamic theory is used to approximate linearization of the nonlinear system, the system dynamic inversion error is compensated by wavelet net which is capable of online learning. The adaptive weights adjustment rule is derived by using Lyapunov stability theory, and the system robustness is guaranteed by using sliding mode control and robustness control. The presented nonlinear control algorithm is applied to one STT missile control system. The simulation results show the proposed algorithm can eliminate the influence brought by disturbance availably, raise the precision of missile overload control system response

Focusing on three questions "what faults to seed", "how to seed faults more effectively" and "how to select the seeded fault locations", the methods of fault seeding are studied. Aiming at procedural language source code, a fault classification scheme is presented. Referring to Howden's fault classification scheme, and based on the occurrence causes and manifestations of software faults, a hierarchy of fault classes is designed. The faults are categorized as assignment faults, control flow faults or runtime environment faults. Then they are further classified by degrees, respectively. 96 categories are included in all. According to this classification, a statistical method based on Bayes formula is designed to determine the manifestations of seeded faults. A logical method based on the logical relation between control flow and data flow of program is presented to set seeded locations. And the concrete seeding process is introduced. Finally, the methods are verified by a case.

The recent explosive growth of multimedia information in many applications requires advanced techniques for multimedia information retrieval (MIR). Audio is one of Important media in multimedia and contains abundant information. Recent development in MIR has revealed that audio information can provide effective contents to retrieve multimedia information. Consequently, it has been paid more and more attention to how to classify audio information. Many existing and new research issues can lead to improve the retrieval efficiency, effectiveness, and accessibility. This paper provides a hybrid classification method for audio indexing and retrieval. It firstly describes main audio characteristics and features and the basic theory of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Independent Component Analysis (ICA). Finally, the hybrid method that integrates ICA and SVM is presented and applied into audio classification. © 2006 IEEE.

A Unit of Employment (UE) is the senior Army headquarters deployed to a theater. UE command Element is responsible for all ground combat operations in the theater. Rapid deployment of ground combat units depends on the effective management of all resources available during early entry in a theater including electrical resources. Electrical power consumers on the future battlefield include complex command posts, vehicles, sensors, communication systems, and decision-making networks that rely on reliable mobile and portable sources of power and energy. With a need to reduce the Army logistics burden, shipping more power devices or fuel are not feasible options. The Army desires a solution replenishing high performance batteries as far forward as possible. Since nearly every C2 system requires electrical power in increasing levels of demand, new technologies and concepts are required to provide command and control systems with adequate electrical power. The challenge is in reducing consumption and providing for efficient distribution of electrical power at all echelons in the Battlespace. This concept is an effort to provide network centric management and information technology to the power sources within the brigade area, as a tactical power grid. This program will provide the commander an information technology backbone within the UE to make better management decisions for power and energy resources including battery charging. The outcome of this concept will improve deployability, reduce the power required to sustain operations, reduce the cost of operations and allow the commander to manage the capability of his unit while engaged in Network Centric Warfare. Unmanned swarm system is regarded as a multi-agent system. At present, many kinds of research use deep reinforcement learning algorithms to solve the problem of multi-agent autonomous behavioral decision. The multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient (MADDPG) algorithm proposed by Google’s DeepMind team pioneered the application of multiple agents in collaborating and confronting complex scenarios, and can be used to solve the problem of generating an autonomous strategy for unmanned swarm in continuous action space. Experiments show that this algorithm has an unsatisfactory convergence and stability in a competitive environment. The key to multi-agent strategy optimization is the design of the reward function. Thus, the paper improves the algorithm of the reward model for multi-agent behaviors in the confrontational environment. First, the advantages of the MADDPG algorithm for implementing multi-agent behavioral decision in a confrontational environment and the training and execution framework of the reward function are introduced. Second, a per-distance reward mechanism and the addition of distance parameters are proposed to improve the efficiency of the agents’ behavioral decision and solve the delayed reward problem. The global sharing value reward strategy is changed to the experience pool sharing value reward strategy to avoid the phenomenon of lazy agents and improve the efficiency of the agents’ cooperation. Finally, after placing the improved reward mechanism into the MADDPG algorithm, experimental results show that the improved reward function has improved convergence, the algorithm training cycle is shortened, the function curve stabilizes faster, and multiple agents have better performance in the confrontational environment. This paper provides reference methods for intelligent behavioral decisions of the unmanned swarm system. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Human action recognition is one of the most popular fields of computer vision. However, the traditional manual feature-based method, with large background interference, can hardly establish an accurate human model and the deep learning-based method runs slowly with huge amount of parameters. In this paper, we propose a new method which combination of the two. First, we extract time series human 3D skeleton key points by Yolo v4 and apply Meanshift target tracking algorithm; then convert key points into spatial RGB and put them into multi-layer convolution neural network for recognition. This method has a high recognition rate and fast recognition speed in a variety of environment such as enclosed environment and public scene. It can quickly identify holding guns, armed attacks, throwing, climbing, approaching and other abnormal behavior.

Protocol Reverse engineering (PRE) serves as the foundation for numerous security analysis techniques, such as vulnerability mining and intrusion detection, etc. The PRE analysis precision can directly affect the accuracy of these downstream techniques. The network-trace-based PRE technique has become the mainstream PRE technique attributed to its ease of implementation. However, without the prerequisite of additional dedicated devices or knowledge of information, the analysis precision of existing network-trace-based PRE methods is often achievable at only byte or half-byte level but not the fine-grained bit-level, which makes it increasingly challenging to meet the precision requirements of those downstream security applications. In this work, we propose a fine-grained PRE scheme, named FineBID, which makes the identification capability in a fine-grained manner for existing network-trace-based PRE methods into bit-level fields. FineBID follows the global characteristics of protocol fields and constructively models the bit-level field identification problem as a multi-objective decision model, which thus effectively overcomes the insufficient representativeness of bit-level fields' local characteristics. Then, the multi-objective decision model is solved to obtain the Pareto solution set for different field segmentation levels, and the utility value per bit is further computed. The utility value can be used as the immediate indicator to determine whether each bit is a field boundary or not. Meanwhile, we propose an Actual Ground Truth that is more in line with the actual usage of each bit. With extensive experiments on the Internet, wireless, and industrial protocols, we affirm that FineBID can not only significantly reduce the search space for Ground Truth or Actual Ground Truth with a space reduction of 95.3% compared to exhaustive search, but also identify Ground Truth or Actual Ground Truth more accurately than other similar methods. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Battlefield environment simulation process is an important part of battlefield environment information support, which needs to be built around the task process. At present, the interoperability between battlefield environment simulation system and command and control system is still imperfect, and the traditional simulation data model cannot meet war fighters’ high-efficient and accurate understanding and analysis on battlefield environment’s information. Therefore, a kind of task-orientated battlefield environment simulation process model needs to be construed to effectively analyze the key information demands of the command and control system. The structured characteristics of tasks and simulation process are analyzed, and the simulation process concept model is constructed with the method of object-orientated. The data model and formal syntax of GeoBML are analyzed, and the logical model of simulation process is constructed with formal language. The object data structure of simulation process is defined and the object model of simulation process which maps tasks is constructed. In the end, the battlefield environment simulation platform modules are designed and applied based on this model, verifying that the model can effectively express the real-time dynamic correlation between battlefield environment simulation data and operational tasks.
