Pressurizer water level is a vital parameter for marine pressurized water reactors (PWR). Operators use it as key evidence to comprehend reactors' operating conditions and identify their transients. Aiming at problems such as false water level and water level depression due to measurement faults, this paper applied deep learning techniques to the reconstruction on nuclear facilities' parameters. Considering the timing features of PWR operation, a reconstruction model for pressurizer water level were developed upon Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU) recurrent neural network theory. Six parameters highly coupled with pressurizer water level, including the average temperatures of reactor inlet and outlet, the pressure and temperature of pressurizer, the main coolant flow in primary circuit and reactor power, were selected as characteristic input parameters for the reconstruction model. By collecting the operating data of a marine PWR simulator whose reactor power transiently increased from 30% to 90%, the reconstructive pressurizer water levels were tested. The findings showed that the Mean Absolute Error(MAE) resulted from the GRU reconstruction model 0.003345. Compared with BP neural network models, the GRU model was not only able to more accurately approximate the true water level value, but also demonstrated better robustness, stability and convergence rate.

Multi-modal coreference resolution with the correlation between space structures

Multi-modal data is becoming more common in big data background. Finding the semantically similar objects from different modality is one of the heart problems of multi-modal learning. Most of the current methods try to learn the intermodal correlation with extrinsic supervised information, while intrinsic structural information of each modality is neglected. The performance of these methods heavily depends on the richness of training samples. However, obtaining the multi-modal training samples is still a labor and cost intensive work. In this paper, we bring a extrinsic correlation between the space structures of each modalities in coreference resolution. With this correlation, a semisupervised learning model for multi-modal coreference resolution is proposed. We firstly extract high-level features of images and text, then compute the distances of each object from some reference points to build the space structure of each modality. With a shared reference point set, the space structures of each modality are correlated. We employ the correlation to build a commonly shared space that the semantic distance between multimodal objects can be computed directly. The experiments on two multi-modal datasets show that our model performs better than the existing methods with insufficient training data. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Shielded through-silicon vias (S-TSV) filled with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) in the via and the shielded layer, and benzocyclobutene or silicon in the insulation layer is presented in this paper. Then, the equivalent transmission line models of the two S-TSVs are established. Based on the model, the forward transmission coefficient and attenuation constant are calculated and the impact of quantum capacitance C q of MWCNT on the transmission performance of S-TSVs is analyzed. The results indicate that the performance of S-TSVs with Si insulation layer in 0-100 GHz can be significantly improved by C q . Also, the performance of S-TSV filled with BCB above 40 GHz can be improved. In addition, the temperature effect of silicon can be balanced by C q . As a result, the heat stability of S-TSV with silicon insulation layer is improved.

A field investigation of arboviruses was conducted in Dejiang, Guizhou Province in the summer of 2016. A total of 8,795 mosquitoes, belonging to four species of three genera, and 1,300 midges were collected. The mosquito samples were identified on site according to their morphology, and the pooled samples were ground and centrifuged in the laboratory. The supernatant was incubated with mosquito tissue culture cells(C6/36) and mammalian cells(BHK-21) for virus isolation. The results indicated that 40%(3,540/8,795) were Anopheles sinensis, 30%(2,700/8,795) were Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus, and 29%(2,530/8,795)were Armigeres subbalbeatus. Furthermore, a total of eight virus isolates were obtained, and genome sequencing revealed two Zika viruses(ZIKVs) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus and Armigeres subbalbeatus, respectively; three Japanese encephalitis viruses(JEVs) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus; two Banna viruses(BAVs) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus and Anopheles sinensis, respectively; and one densovirus(DNV) isolated from Culex pipiens *** ZIKVs isolated from the Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus and Armigeres subbalbeatus mosquitoes represent the first ZIKV isolates in China's Mainland. This discovery presents new challenges for the prevention and control of ZIKV in China, and prompts international cooperation on this global issue.

Software reliability is an important factor for evaluating software quality in the domain of safety-critical software. Traditional software reliability growth models (SRGMs) only uses the failure data produced in a testing process to evaluate the software reliability and its growth. However, the number and severity of the failures uncovered are determined by the effectiveness and efficiency of testing process. Therefore, an unbiased reliability prediction has to take test process knowledge into account. In this paper, we proposed a neural network based reliability prediction method to utilize the testing process metrics to correlate testing process knowledge with failure prediction. The metrics designed in this paper cover information from the system under test (SUT), design of testing, software failure and repair process. The method is validated through the testing process data collected from a real embedded operating system. And the results show a fairly accurate prediction capability. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

Focusing on three questions "what faults to seed", "how to seed faults more effectively" and "how to select the seeded fault locations", the methods of fault seeding are studied. Aiming at procedural language source code, a fault classification scheme is presented. Referring to Howden's fault classification scheme, and based on the occurrence causes and manifestations of software faults, a hierarchy of fault classes is designed. The faults are categorized as assignment faults, control flow faults or runtime environment faults. Then they are further classified by degrees, respectively. 96 categories are included in all. According to this classification, a statistical method based on Bayes formula is designed to determine the manifestations of seeded faults. A logical method based on the logical relation between control flow and data flow of program is presented to set seeded locations. And the concrete seeding process is introduced. Finally, the methods are verified by a case.

On the basis of analyzing the composition of losses in high-efficient high-voltage asynchronous motors, the approaches of increasing the efficiency of the motors is investigated in this paper. The approaches concern with the improvement of material, winding, fan, magnetic groove and so on. By taking the economy and efficiency into account synthetically, the design of the YKK series induction motors is carried on, and it is realized by software simulation. © 2011 IEEE.

The information on angular motion of projectile can be expressed by the Amplitude Modulation (AM) index of radar echo. In order to separate the information of slow-mode angular motion, a method based on Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) is proposed. Three issues are discussed in this article. First, the angular motion of projectile is approximated as a fast-mode circle superposing over that of the slow-mode according to the theory of exterior ballistics. Next, the characteristics of AM index that can represent the angular motion are discussed. Considering the effects of Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and the interference of noise, the index of AM is modeled as nonstationary time series in which the slow fluctuation corresponds to the slow-mode circular motion. Then an EMD-based separating method is suggested to obtain the index of the slow-mode motion. It includes two steps. The first step is to divide the index into a series of Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) and the residual item. The second step is to reconstruct the index of the slow-mode motion with the components of the lower frequency IMFs and the residual by utilizing the prior knowledge about the difference in the periods. Compared with theoretical value and the result of stationary wavelet transform, as well as the in-flight experiment, the results show the validity and effectiveness.

Software aging refers to the phenomenon that applications will show growing failure rate or performance degradation after longtime execution. It is reported that this phenomenon usually has close relationship with computing-resource exhaustion. This paper analyzes computing-resource usage data collected on a LAN, and quantitatively investigates the relationship between computing-resource exhaustion trend and workload. First, we discuss the definition of workload, and then a multi-layer back propagation neural network is trained to construct the nonlinear relationship between input (workload) and output (computing-resource usage). Then we use the trained neural network to forecast the computing-resource usage, i.e., free memory and used swap, with workload as its input. Finally, the results were benchmarked against those obtained without regard to influence of workload reported in the literatures, such as non-parametric statistical techniques or parametric time series models.
