Collaborative Service Provisioning for UAV-Assisted Mobile Edge Computing

Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-assisted mobile edge computing(MEC), as a way of coping with delaysensitive and computing-intensive tasks, is considered to be a key technology to solving the challenges of terrestrial MEC networks. In this work, we study the problem of collaborative service provisioning(CSP) for UAV-assisted MEC. Specifically, taking into account the task latency and other resource constraints, this paper investigates how to minimize the total energy consumption of all terrestrial user equipments, by jointly optimizing computing resource allocation, task offloading, UAV trajectory, and service placement. The CSP problem is a non-convex mixed integer nonlinear programming problem, owing to the complex coupling of mixed integral variables and non-convexity of CSP. To address the CSP problem, this paper proposes an alternating optimization-based solution with the convergence guarantee as follows. We iteratively deal with the joint service placement and task offloading subproblem, and UAV movement trajectory subproblem, by branch and bound and successive convex approximation, respectively,while the closed form of the optimal computation resource allocation can be efficiently obtained. Extensive simulations validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared to three baselines.

Fine classification of rice paddy using multitemporal compact polarimetric SAR C band data based on machine learning methods

Rice is an important food crop for human *** distinguishing different varieties and sowing methods of rice on a large scale can provide more accurate information for rice growth monitoring,yield estimation,and phenological monitoring,which has significance for the development of modern *** polarimetric(CP)synthetic aperture radar(SAR)provides multichannel information and shows great potential for rice monitoring and ***,the use of machine learning methods to build classification models is a controversial *** this paper,the advantages of CP SAR data,the powerful learning ability of machine learning,and the important factors of the rice growth cycle were taken into account to achieve high-precision and fine classification of rice ***,CP SAR data were simulated by using the seven temporal RADARSAT-2 C-band data ***,20-two CP SAR parameters were extracted from each of the seven temporal CP SAR data *** addition,we fully considered the change degree of CP SAR parameters on a time scale(ΔCP_(DoY)).Six machine learning methods were employed to carry out the fine classification of rice *** results show that the classification methods of machine learning based on multitemporal CP SAR data can obtain better results in the fine classification of rice paddies by considering the parameters ofΔCP_(DoY).The overall accuracy is greater than 95.05%,and the Kappa coefficient is greater than *** them,the random forest(RF)and support vector machine(SVM)achieve the best results,with an overall accuracy reaching 97.32%and 97.37%,respectively,and Kappa coefficient values reaching 0.965 and 0.966,*** the two types of rice paddies,the average accuracy of the transplant hybrid(T-H)rice paddy is greater than 90.64%,and the highest accuracy is 95.95%.The average accuracy of direct-sown japonica(D-J)rice paddy is greater than 92.57%,and the highest accuracy is 96.13%.

Resource management in edge computing has always been a hot research topic. In the scenario of multiple edge servers and multiple tasks, this paper proposes a task offloading model that optimizes the total cost by weighting energy consumption and latency to reduce energy consumption and latency. Based on the proposed task offloading model, an improved genetic algorithm is proposed to solve the optimal task offloading strategy. Simulation experiments have shown that applying improved genetic algorithms to task offloading models can accelerate convergence speed, find the optimal computing offloading strategy, and improve system performance. © 2023 IEEE.

Covid-19 pandemic is spreading across the world at a breakneck pace. As of September 2022, JHU CSSE COVID-19 Data and Our World in Data have recorded up to 5.2 M deaths due to Covid-19. One of the essential steps of fighting this pandemic is to detect the disease early. Studies show some abnormalities in the chest X-rays of the Covid-19 patients, and these features help classify the covid-19 positive patients from the negative patients. In recent years in the field of medical x-rays, Deep Learning models have proven to have the ability to learn and identify features that a trained person can only identify. Due to the exponential increase in the covid-19 cases, the waiting time for covid results has increased, resulting in the late diagnosis of patients for Covid-19. Classifying a patient as Covid-19 positive for a genuinely covid positive patient is as essential as classifying a patient Covid-19 negative who is genuinely covid-negative. Here we present a detailed quantitative analysis on the performance of state-of-the-art models like ResNet-50, Dense-Net, Mobile-Net-V2, and MNAS-Net on classifying patients for Covid positive, Pneumonia positive, and Normal by evaluating Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and Jaccard Index. We propose a new deep neural network classification model for low-end devices that uses two Attention mechanisms. Figure 1. shows the attention map with confidence percentage for each classes. Our model uses fewer parameters and FLOPS than other state-of-the-art models and recorded a 2% increase in Accuracy and other evaluation parameters. The dataset used for implementation is a public dataset COVID-DATASET and NIH Chest X-ray from kaggle. It has over 1000 images of Covid Chest X-ray, Pneumothrax, Mass, Pneumonia, Cardiomegaly, Nodule, Effusion, Atelectasis and inflitration. The increasing integration of Cyber-Physical systems (CPS) in critical infrastructure presents unique challenges for ensuring robust cybersecurity. Traditional Intrusion Detection systems (IDS) often struggle with the dynamic, complex nature of CPS environments, making adaptive solutions essential. This paper presents an Adaptive Intrusion Detection system (AIDS) that leverages Reinforcement Learning-Based Autoencoders (RL-AE) to detect and respond to cyber intrusions in CPS environments. The proposed model combines the power of autoencoders for unsupervised anomaly detection with reinforcement learning to continuously adapt and improve detection accuracy. Experimental results on benchmark CPS datasets demonstrate that the RL-AE-based IDS achieves a detection accuracy of 98.3%, a precision rate of 96.8%, and a recall rate of 97.5%, effectively minimizing false positives to 2.4%. The system also demonstrated rapid adaptability, with a convergence time of less than 50 iterations in response to new attack patterns. These results highlight the model's ability to enhance system resilience and promote secure and efficient CPS operations in industrial and critical infrastructure applications. This approach provides a scalable and flexible IDS solution, promoting secure and resilient CPS operations in real-time, high-stakes environments. © 2024 IEEE.

The usage of machine learning and deep learning algorithms have necessitated Artificial Intelligence'. AI is aimed at automating things by limiting human interference. It is widely used in IT, healthcare, finance, and agriculture. It is achieved through several deep learning algorithms that reflect the human brain's intelligence. These AI algorithms can be manipulated according to changing needs and improved efficiency. This paper tries to utilize the developments made in AI technology to classify the images and recognize the objects present in them. One widely used AI algorithm is CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks). The CNN is a deep learning-based algorithm that consists of various layers that extract and filters the parameters present in the images. Some additional layers of ResNet50 and the CNN algorithm are used to extract the parameters to improve image recognition accuracy. The image dataset taken for training and testing the proposed model is imageNet. The images are initially processed before sending them to the proposed model. The proposed model is trained, validated, and tested through the images obtained after the initial processing. The same process is repeated several times until getting the maximum accuracy. The accuracy of the proposed model in terms of image recognition is recorded. The obtained results are compared with other image classification algorithms like VGG16 and VGG19. A security authentication protocol based on number theory research unit (NTRU) for industrial control devices is proposed to address the security of data transmission in industrial control systems and the lack of resistance to attacks of security authentication protocols. Most of the original protocols contain complex encryption and decryption operations, which are difficult to run on industrial control devices with simple structures and cannot resist new types of network attacks. In this paper, the protocol takes advantage of the simple operation of NTRU public key encryption system and sets the authorization center to send only the public key of the device in a variant form to achieve the purpose of resisting new attacks such as quantum attacks and internal attacks, and the anti-attack capability is strengthened. © 2023 IEEE.

We consider the problem of target range-angle imaging using distributed arrays. High resolution imaging requires a large array aperture. However, due to the limited number of array elements, the subarrays are usually sparsely located, which results in severe under-sampling and ambiguity problem, degrading the imaging performance. To this end, we propose a range-angle imaging method based on the prior of target scattering characteristic to resolve the ambiguity. The main idea is to use the information increment of priors to reduce the dependence on the measurements. Particularly, we first statistically extract the prior distribution of target scattering intensity by data analysis on the target images. Then we use these priors to design weighting parameters and achieve the ambiguity-free images by solving a weighted sparse recovery problem. Finally, numerical simulation results verify the feasibility of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.
