The paper presents advancements in healthcare data capture through the application of image-based extraction techniques, which include sophisticated image processing techniques such as resizing and adaptive thresholding, for prescription information. With the increasing digitization of medical records, automating the extraction of relevant data from prescription documents has become crucial. This research explores the utilization of image processing and optical character recognition (OCR) methodologies to extract prescription information accurately. By converting prescription documents into image format and employing OCR algorithms, the text content is extracted and parsed for critical details such as medication names, dosages, and patient instructions. Notably, our methodology excels in overcoming limitations associated with handwritten documents, achieving an impressive accuracy rate of 98%. This image-based approach offers a streamlined and efficient method for capturing prescription data, reducing manual data entry efforts, and minimizing potential errors. Experimental evaluations demonstrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed approach, highlighting its potential to enhance healthcare data capture and improve patient care. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. EEG signals are very useful in giving an insightful view of what's going on inside the brain. However, such readings are still tricky and challenging to interpret because of the inherent non-linearity and dynamic behavior of the data. The present paper introduces a new approach to the analysis of EEG signals using Recurrent Neural Networks, with a particular focus on recognizing temporal dependencies that exist in sequential data. By exploiting the RNN property of information retention at different time steps, we demonstrate enhanced accuracy in pattern recognition and classification of cognitive states. Our model is trained over a massive dataset of EEG recordings using the LSTM units to get rid of vanishing gradients frequently encountered in deep-learning models. The results from the experiments are given below and illustrate how the proposed method compares with traditional machine learning techniques in terms of accuracy and robustness. It is a promising tool for all applications in neurological diagnosis, cognitive research, and developing a brain-computer interface. © 2024 IEEE.

The theoretical framework of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) provides a foundation for the integration of information technology and disciplines. Dynamic mathematical software, as the most widely used mathematics discipline software by mathematics teachers, can effectively improve classroom efficiency and improve students' mathematical thinking. This is exemplified by China's first leading dynamic mathematics discipline teaching tool in the mobile Internet environment: NetPad. In light of the ongoing evolution of information technology, junior high school mathematics teachers must consistently enhance their capacity to leverage dynamic mathematics technology for instructional purposes, in order to align with the evolving demands of teacher development in the contemporary era. Therefore, this paper analyzes the research status of TPACK measurement methods, based on the relevant theoretical studies of TPACK, takes the research of core component TPACK as the entry point, integrates the dynamic mathematical technology, divides the dimensions of junior high school mathematics teachers' Dynamic mathematics Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (DM-TPACK) level, refers to the junior high school mathematics teachers' TPACK scale by Yuanmei Duan, constructs a DM-TPACK evaluation scale and uses Think Aloud Method and Delphi Method to revise and improve, forming the final DM-TPACK questionnaire for junior high school mathematics teachers. Finally, the questionnaire was subjected to a reliability test, and the results showed that the evaluation instrument had good internal consistency and reliability. This study provides a basis for measuring the TPACK level of junior high school mathematics teachers' integration of dynamic mathematical techniques, and provides a reference for the development of a TPACK assessment tool for teachers. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

The investigation aims to evaluate the performance of machine learning techniques, particularly the XGBoost regression method, for stock price prediction with the help of technical indicators. The research targets the adjusted closing price to reduce the autocorrelation problem in time series. The Five Days and Ten Days Exponential Moving Averages (EMA-5 and EMA-10) are involved in refining feature selection. The performance of the model was evaluated using different error metrics, namely, Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Squared Error (MSE), Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), and Coefficient of Determination (R2). The results indicate that the XGBoost model, combined with EMA-5 and EMA-10, achieves high predictive performance, obtaining an r2 value of 0.98. It implies that incorporating short-term EMAs into advanced machine learning techniques drastically improves stock price forecasting. © 2025 IEEE.

The proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and ubiquitous connectivity has led to uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) playing key role as edge servers, revolutionizing the wireless communications landscape by facilitating computing and caching resources closer to ground users (GUs). This advancement significantly alleviates core network loads, reduces latency, and guarantees content availability even in congested or remote areas. However, jointly optimizing UAV caching strategies and trajectories gives rise to a multi-task optimization (MTO) problem. This paper introduces a novel multi-task geo-temporal caching (MT-GTC) framework that addresses the interplay between UAV caching mechanisms and trajectory optimization in a cohesive manner. Leveraging a proposed multi-task learning (MTL) model for joint optimization of UAV caching and trajectory design, we develop a federated learning cloud-assisted knowledge distillation (FL-CAKD) scheme to preserve data privacy and adapt to data heterogeneity. FL-CAKD transfers knowledge from a cloud model orchestrator (CMO), which houses a large and sophisticated teacher model, to a lightweight on-device MTL student models using soft target distributions instead of large model parameters, significantly reducing communication costs. MT-GTC optimizes caching and trajectories to maximize cache hits and minimize latency. Evaluations on real-world mobility datasets demonstrate up to 95% cache hit rates and 21% lower delays compared to baselines. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Unifying AMP Algorithms for Rotationally-Invariant Models

This paper presents a unified framework for constructing Approximate Message Passing (AMP) algorithms for rotationally-invariant models. By employing a general iterative algorithm template and reducing it to long-memory Orthogonal AMP (OAMP), we systematically derive the correct Onsager terms of AMP algorithms. This approach allows us to rederive an AMP algorithm introduced by Fan and Opper et al., while shedding new light on the role of free cumulants of the spectral law. The free cumulants arise naturally from a recursive centering operation, potentially of independent interest beyond the scope of AMP. To illustrate the flexibility of our framework, we introduce two novel AMP variants and apply them to estimation in spiked models. © 2024, CC BY.
