In this paper we extend the source transfer domain decomposition method(STDDM)introduced by the authors to solve the Helmholtz problems in two-layered media,the Helmholtz scattering problems with bounded scatterer,and Helmholtz problems in 3D unbounded *** STDDM is based on the decomposition of the domain into non-overlapping layers and the idea of source transfer which transfers the sources equivalently layer by layer so that the solution in the final layer can be solved using a PML method defined locally outside the last two *** details of STDDM is given for each *** results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of STDDM as a preconditioner for solving the discretization problem of the Helmholtz problems considered in the paper.

Poisson-Nernst-Planck equations are widely used to describe the electrodiffusion of ions in a solvated biomolecular system. Two kinds of two-grid finite element algorithms are proposed to decouple the steady-state Poisson-Nernst-Planck equations by coarse grid finite element approximations. Both theoretical analysis and numerical experiments show the efficiency and effectiveness of the two-grid algorithms for solving Poisson-Nernst-Planck equations.

The purpose of this paper is to solve nonselfadjoint elliptic problems with rapidly oscillatory coefficients. A two-order and two-scale approximate solution expression for nonselfadjoint elliptic problems is considered, and the error estimation of the twoorder and two-scale approximate solution is derived. The numerical result shows that the presented approximation solution is effective.
