Exponential synchronization of stochastic complex networks with time-varying delays by adaptive control

This paper studies the exponential synchronization of stochastic complex networks with switching topology and time-varying delays by using the adaptive control method. Based on stability theory of switching systems, the synchronization of the complex network, which is subject to vector-form stochastic perturbations, switching topology and different internal and outer time-varying delays, is investigated. Moreover, a kind of adaptive controller is designed. Sufficient conditions for exponential synchronization are obtained by using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and the linear matrix inequality (LMI). Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the validity of the theoretical results.

Conservative properties analysis of multi-symplectic integrator for the Schrödinger equation with wave operator

In the article, we discuss the conservation laws for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with wave operator under multisymplectic integrator (MI). The discrete conservation laws of the numerical method are analyzed. It is verified that the proposed MI can stably simulate the multisymplectic Hamiltonian system excellent over long time. It is more accurate than some energy-preserving schemes though they are of the same accuracy. Moreover, the residual of mass is less than energy-preserving schemes under the same mesh partition over long-term.

Stochastic multisymplectic integrator for stochastic KdV equation

In this paper we investigate the stochastic multisymplectic methods to solve the stochastic partial differential equation. The stochastic KdV equations are considered. Besides conserving the multi-symplectic structure of original equation, the stochastic multi-symplectic methods are also investigated for the conservation of various conservation laws. We deduce the transit laws of the specific formal conservation laws. Numerical experiments are illustrated to verify the good behaviors of stochastic multisymplectic methods.

We propose a novel coarse-graining tensor renormalization group method based on the higher-order singular value decomposition. This method provides an accurate but low computational cost technique for studying both classical and quantum lattice models in two or three dimensions. We have demonstrated this method using the Ising model on the square and cubic lattices. By keeping up to 16 bond basis states, we obtain by far the most accurate numerical renormalization group results for the three-dimensional Ising model. We have also applied the method to study the ground state as well as finite temperature properties for the two-dimensional quantum transverse Ising model and obtain the results which are consistent with published data.

An Efficient Multigrid Method for Molecular Mechanics Modeling in Atomic Solids

We propose a multigrid method to solve the molecular mechanics model(molecular dynamics at zero temperature).The Cauchy-Born elasticity model is employed as the coarse grid operator and the elastically deformed state as the initial guess of the molecular mechanics *** efficiency of the algorithm is demonstrated by three examples with homogeneous deformation,namely,one dimensional chain under tensile deformation and aluminum under tension and shear *** method exhibits linear-scaling computational complexity,and is insensitive to parameters arising from iterative *** addition,we study two examples with inhomogeneous deformation:vacancy and nanoindentation of *** results are still satisfactory while the linear-scaling property is lost for the latter example.

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a multistep extension of the Shanks sequence transformation. It is defined as a ratio of determinants. Then, we show that this transformation can be recursively implemented by a multistep extension of the $\varepsilon$–algorithm of Wynn. Some of their properties are specified. Thereafter, the multistep $\varepsilon$–algorithm and the multistep Shanks transformation are proved to be related to an extended discrete Lotka–Volterra system. These results are obtained by using Hirota’s bilinear method, a procedure quite useful in the solution of nonlinear partial differential and difference equations.
