The volume of published scientific literature available on Internet has been increasing exponentially. Some of them reflect the latest achievement of the specific research domain. In recent years, many projects have been funded aiming to online scientific literature mining, especially in biomedical research. Scientific literature covers most of the hot topics in the research field and has a very large domain-specific vocabulary. The exploitation of domain knowledge and specialized vocabulary can dramatically improve the result of literature text processing. In this paper, we build a large-scale annotated corpus from abstract content in IT security literature, from which we construct domain vocabulary with TF/IDF-like schema and present quantitative analysis on the difference between features constructed respectively from positive and negative - annotated corpus. We evaluated the effects of the vocabulary by document similarity computing and classifying. The experimental result shows that domain vocabulary can improve the accuracy effectively. © 2011 IEEE.

Effective network management software ensures networks to run credibly. In this paper we discuss the design and implementation of network device fault management based on Pure Java. It includes designs of general functions, server functions, client functions and a database table. The software can make it convenient to monitoring a network device, and improve network efficiency.

An architecture for online discovery quantitative models system of service performance management was proposed. The system was capable of constructing the quantitative models without prior knowledge of the managed elements. The model can be updated continuously in response to the changes made in provider configurations and the evolution of business demands. Due to the existence of strong correlation between the distributed service metrics and response times, a linear and a hyper- linear quantitative models are constructed, which respectively use the stepwise multiple linear regression and genetic programming algorithms. The simulation results show that the effectiveness of quantitative model constructing system and model constructing algorithms. © 2005 IEEE.

For people improving the energy-saving performances of buildings, the applications of information communication, computer network, automation control and etc. are the current building energy-saving technologies. They form with a serial of technique measures for buildings with energy management systems running implementation and intelligent monitoring. This paper introduces and analyzes the information technology in building energy-saving. For building energy-saving on the demand for intelligent building energy monitoring, this paper proposed a system framework of Building Energy Monitoring and Analysis System based on the Internet of things, which has some enlightening in Building energy consumption further to achieve real-time monitoring and control, and improve the energy-saving of intelligent building.

Water is probably the oldest factor receiving attention from the population, since the beginning of the human race. The evolution of water supply systems is directly related to the urban growth of the cities and their geographical location. This study focuses on SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) systems used to control and managing water distribution systems all around the world, highlighting their components and deeply approaching SCADA networks and communication protocols. Based on the need of protection and security on SCADA networks, this study aims to provide a review of the existing literature, through the case study of water distribution systems, identifying the different components of a SCADA system, as well as its communication architectures and protocols and some known attacks, to design a framework on current and old SCADA networks. Results show that SCADA systems are not just applied to water distribution and water waste systems, but also to many other industrial automated systems that control on crucial systems. The security of such systems is yet weak and faces many vulnerabilities and threats, where security mechanisms must be applied. For this purpose, the study of SCADA networks and communications is considered a crucial point for the correct development of security tools. © 2019 IEEE.

The scientific literature covers most of the hot topics in the research field and has a very large domain-specific vocabulary. The exploitation of domain knowledge and specialized vocabulary can dramatically improve the result of the literature text processing. In this paper, a large-scale annotated corpus was built from abstract content in the IT security literature, from which the domain vocabularies were constructed with TF/IDF-like schema. To evaluate the discriminating capability between single word vocabulary and co-occurrence phrase vocabularies built respectively from positive and negative corpus, this paper introduced the concept of discrimination index computed by Cosine similarity and Jicard distance, presented a yearly distribution analysis of the retrieved paper and listed some new emerging bilexical co-occurrence phrases. The experimental result shows the effectiveness of domain vocabulary in discriminating domain-specific documents. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

Homomorphic encryption is a promising technology for private enhanced computing. It provides a data-centric privacy-preserving method that allows computing on encrypted data by a third proxy. However, lightweight terminals lack sufficient computing resources to perform a large amount of encryption operations in stream data applications, e.g., smart devices in blockchain network, sensors and cameras in urban intelligent transport. This paper presents a blinded encryption paradigm that outsources most computations to a third proxy, e.g., cloud computing and edge computing. It helps to eliminate the encryption overhead for lightweight terminals while preserving data privacy. The proposed paradigm is composed of plaintext blinding, blinded encryption, ciphertext recovery and one round of communication. Lightweight terminals only execute efficient plaintext blinding and ciphertext recovery to guarantee data privacy. The expensive computing for plaintext encryption is delegated to a third proxy through blinded encryption. In addition, the key analysis to achieve time consuming improvement is to overlap the communication latency with computation time. Furthermore, the security analysis demonstrates the outsourced encryption is secure under the assumption of secure blinding and recovery algorithms. Finally, the experiment shows our method outperforms the original version by 2x improvement from the prospective of resource consumption. © 2023 IEEE.
