The stomatopod (mantis shrimp) visual system has recently provided a blueprint for the design of paradigm-shifting polarization and multispectral imaging sensors, enabling solutions to challenging medical and remote sensing problems. However, these bioinspired frame-based cameras lack the high dynamic range and asynchronous polarization vision capabilities of the stomatopod visual system, limiting temporal resolution to ~12ms and dynamic range to ~72dB. Here we present a novel stomatopod-inspired polarization camera which mimics the sustained and transient biological visual pathways to save power and sample data beyond the maximum Nyquist frame rate. This bio-inspired sensor simultaneously captures both synchronous intensity frames and asynchronous polarization brightness change information with submillisecond latencies over a millionfold range of illumination. Our PDAVIS camera is comprised of 346x260 pixels, organized in 2-by-2 macropixels, which filter the incoming light with four linear polarization filters offset by 45°. Polarization information is reconstructed using both low-cost and low-latency event-based algorithms and more accurate but slower deep neural networks. Blockchain technology for shared electric vehicle (EV) charging makes use of a distributed ledger in handling different transactions which promotes authenticity in charging. However, this technology can be non-scalable at times which slows down the transaction rates as the scale increases in an organization and may also demand high computational as well as energy requirements which increases the inefficiency of the total system, the operating expenses of EV charging station, costs of energy utilized for charging, cost of maintenance and cost of station infrastructure may prove to be a weakness, impacting the feasibility of infrastructure deployment and upkeep expenses of the charging stations. To overcome these drawbacks, this paper proposes a hybrid method for blockchain technology with shared EV charging. The proposed approach combines the use of the Red Panda Optimization (RPO) with Similarity-Navigated Graph Neural Network (SNGNN). Hence, it is named as hybrid RPO-SNGNN approach. Reducing the operating cost of EV charging position and maximizes the security efficiency is the main aim of the proposed approach. To optimize scheduling and resource allocation by finding efficient paths by RPO and predict future demand and user behaviour patterns by SNGNN. By then, the proposed model has been put into practice on the MATLAB work platform and contrasted with other existing methods. The proposed technique outperforms all existing techniques, including Fuzzy-based Cross Hierarchical Reinforcement Q Learning (FCHRQL), Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-Long Short-Term Memory Network (NSGA-II-LSTMN), and Ant Colony Optimization-Proximal Policy Optimization (ACO-PPO). The proposed method shows the operating cost of $550 and the security rate is 97%. From the result, the proposed approach operating cost is low and the security rate is high when compared to the existing approaches. © 2024 IEEE.

A novel design methodology for constructing accurate models of microwave channel utilizing Electronic Design Automation (EDA) softwares is introduced. The two cases of filter channel are firstly presented, then, the electromagnetic field simulation is detailedly demonstrated. Simultaneously, field-circuit co-simulation utilizing EDA softwares is gived. The EDA softwares include Advanced Design System (ADS), computer Simulation technology (CST), Altium Designer (AD) and so on. The out-band rejections of the second case are 20.16dBc@0.9GHz and 10.82dBc@10GHz better than the first one. Finally, the experimental curves are depicted, which are in excellent agreement with the simulation. With the practical engineering value, a novel design methodology applied in the microwave channel is given, which can be also used in millimeter-wave circuit, making the precise analysis of the filter channel come true. © 2021 IEEE.

Successfully achieving bipedal locomotion remains challenging due to real-world factors such as model uncertainty, random disturbances, and imperfect state estimation. In this work, we propose a novel metric for locomotive robustness – the estimated size of the hybrid forward invariant set associated with the step-to-step dynamics. Here, the forward invariant set can be loosely interpreted as the region of attraction for the discrete-time dynamics. We illustrate the use of this metric towards synthesizing nominal walking gaits using a simulation-in-the-loop learning approach. Further, we leverage discrete-time barrier functions and a sampling-based approach to approximate sets that are maximally forward invariant. Lastly, we experimentally demonstrate that this approach results in successful locomotion for both flat-foot walking and multi-contact walking on the Atalante lower-body exoskeleton.

A 1-removed subgraph Gf of a graph G = (V, E) is obtained by (i) selecting at most one edge f (v) for each vertex v ∈ V, such that v ∈ f (v) ∈ E (the mapping f: V → E ∪ {∅} is allowed to be non-injective), and (ii) deleting all the selected edges f (v) from the edge set E of G. Proper vertex colorings of 1-removed subgraphs proved to be a useful tool for earlier research on some Turán-type problems. In this paper, we introduce a systematic investigation of the graph invariant 1-robust chromatic number, denoted as χ1(G). This invariant is defined as the minimum chromatic number χ(Gf ) among all 1-removed subgraphs Gf of G. We also examine other standard graph invariants in a similar manner. © 2023, CC BY-NC-SA.

Recently, magnetic resonance imaging has been widely used in clinical treatment to assist doctors in diagnosis because of its high resolution of soft tissue and no radiation. However, limited by imaging equipment and imaging time, the resolution of MR imaging is low. The previous super-resolution algorithms used for MR images use paired datasets to generate down-sampled images by artificially assuming the image degradation process, and forming a sample pair to monitor and train the super-resolution network. However, the super-resolution network obtained by this way will cause serious degradation of the network performance in practical application. In this paper, we propose a blind super-resolution framework DMN based on domain migration, which decouples the blind super-resolution network with the idea of domain migration, and avoids the false detail generation problem of the blind super-resolution network in the MR images super-resolution task through independent training. At the same time, we propose a multi-level parallel transformer feature enhancement module MPTB, which takes noise as the original input and embeds noise features step by step to enhance the fitting ability of the network while reducing the complexity of the network structure design. Besides, we also use the k-space loss function to form a constraint function, so that the domain migration network can fully consider the k-space characteristics of MR images. The experimental results on the MR images of the knee joint and brain in the fastMRI dataset show that the super-resolution performance of our proposed DMN network is better than the previous super-resolution networks. © 2023, The Authors. A computer decision support system for the design and change-over of production of multi-assortment polymeric materials has been developed. The system helps to solve the problems of choosing hardware design and technological modes of extrusion, ensuring resource saving in production. The system includes a subsystem for selecting the brand of the extruder and assembling a 3D model of the modular screw of the extruder, a subsystem for synthesizing a mathematical model for calculating the extrusion efficiency indices depending on the operating parameters of the extruder, a database of types of polymeric materials, a database of brands of extruders, a database of technological regulations of extrusion. 3D models of elements of screw extruders of various types, rules of placement and layout of 3D models of elements when assembling a 3D screw model, mathematical models of physical processes in the channels of screws and heads of extruders are the core of the system. The system allows you to select the brand of the extruder, form the configuration of the extruder screw and determine the operating parameters of extrusion, at which the specified requirements for the quality of the extrudate, throughput and specific energy consumption of the extrusion are satisfied. Testing of the system has been carried out according to the data of industrial extrusion and calendering productions of multi-assortment polymeric films for packaging food and medicines. The test results have confirmed the operability of the software. They have showed an increase in production efficiency due to a reduction in defective products (non-returnable waste), energy saving, and a reduction in the time of change-over of production on new tasks.

Interactive Semantic Map Representation for Skill-based Visual Object Navigation

Visual object navigation using learning methods is one of the key tasks in mobile robotics. This paper introduces a new representation of a scene semantic map formed during the embodied agent interaction with the indoor environment. It is based on a neural network method that adjusts the weights of the segmentation model with backpropagation of the predicted fusion loss values during inference on a regular (backward) or delayed (forward) image sequence. We have implemented this representation into a full-fledged navigation approach called SkillTron, which can select robot skills from end-to-end policies based on reinforcement learning and classic map-based planning methods. The proposed approach makes it possible to form both intermediate goals for robot exploration and the final goal for object navigation. We conducted intensive experiments with the proposed approach in the Habitat environment, which showed a significant superiority in navigation quality metrics compared to state-of-the-art approaches. Cybersecurity incidents continue to plague digital life. Attackers planning to compromise a network or system often use methods such as scanning attacks to obtain valid attack information in advance, thus increasing the probability of a successful network attack. In response to this problem, the high flexibility of new architectures for software-defined networks and the OpenFlow protocoOpenFlowrovided some statistical information about network traffic in recent years. This method allows traffic to be monitored through switches that support the OpenFlow protocol and enables faster port scan detection than traditional methods of collecting periodic statistics, which can be used to detect malicious traffic activity. In this paper, we delve into the statistical rules of traffic in Openflow networks, develop and implement a traffic detection method based on port scanning in Openflow networks, establish an information entropy-based inspection mechanism, and use a mixture of two conventional traffic models and anomalous traffic for access. The experimental results show that the method can effectively and reasonably detect slow scanning attacks as well as improve the accuracy of identifying abnormal traffic.
