The important engineering problem is monitoring the working state of complex systems such as electric machines. One of tasks is to detect the inductive motor bearing faults by tracking windings currents change. The aim of this study is to analyze the response of nonlinear systems to cyclostationary signals recorded from the three-phase motor. The Duffing oscillator system is studied. The numerical simulation of nonlinear systems with the recorded signals as input is performed. The technique for the analysis of the observed dynamics is proposed. We show that such an approach allows detecting the bearing faults with a high level of confidence. © 2022 IEEE.

This study focuses on exploring the potential of using different types of operational amplifiers (op-amps) in Chaos Shift Keying (CSK) coherent communication systems to improve performance and energy efficiency. CSK is a promising technology for secure and efficient communication that works on the principle of transmitting signals based on chaotic systems. This article presents an electronic circuit based on the Rössler system to demonstrate the transmission of data using CSK coherent chaotic communication systems. The results of this study may have practical implications for the design and implementation of CSK communication systems in various applications.

In this work, software is developed for modeling the drying process of hygroscopic materials using cellular automata. The modeling process using cellular automata is described, and the developed transition rules that consider heat and mass transfer not only within the material but also between stacks are provided. The developed software uses a modern multi-tier client-server architecture, including a database for handling large volumes of computational data. Additionally, the results of the modeling, including their validation based on existing experimental data, are presented and analyzed.

Sensors based on chaotic oscillators comprise a promising direction in the field of nonlinear dynamics. Hypothetically, such sensors have improved sensitivity, selectivity, and rate. In this paper, we research and develop an inductive sensor based on the Sprott Case B chaotic oscillator, which features a double-scroll attractor. We propose a circuit implementation with inductive coil, and compare the results of the computer simulation with experimental study. We conclude that the proposed circuit is suitable for use as a limit switch to determine the position of a steel plate, as its dynamics is switching from chaotic to periodic regime at a certain adjustable distance between a coil and the plate. The performance obtained in the study is comparable with sensors of conventional design, but has the potential for improvement.

Present paper deals with the minimum cost flow finding task with fuzzy trapezoidal intuitionistic values of arc capacities and costs. Nowadays, flow tasks in networks are leading tasks in flow modelling and urban logistics. Peculiarity of the problem is in optimal paths finding, which allows decreasing the total cost of transportation and choosing the best paths for transportation. Fuzzy logic as a powerful tool for dealing with uncertainty, vagueness and inaccurate data influenced the way of presenting characteristics of networks. Arc capacities and costs can be presented as fuzzy numbers of the different form enabling researchers to get more reliable solutions. However, during the simulation a researcher is often faced with difficulties in exact specifying of arc capacities and costs. It is a commonplace that experts hesitate or have doubts choosing a specific value for parameters of the network. In such circumstances arc capacities and costs can be presented in a fuzzy intuitionistic form, in particular, as fuzzy intuitionistic triangular or trapezoidal numbers. A fuzzy intuitionistic number allows taking into account a level of hesitation by including degree of membership, non-membership and indeterminacy margin. Incorporating fuzzy intuitionistic sets into conventional flow patterns enables researchers to solve tasks in fuzzy, vague conditions even when there is a lack of necessary data for problem statement. The main contribution to the paper is the proposal for the fuzzy intuitionistic minimum cost flow algorithm using fuzzy intuitionistic flow patterns based on the ranking technique and arithmetic operations with fuzzy intuitionistic trapezoidal numbers. A case study numerical is presented to illustrate the proposed algorithm. © 2020 institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Mathematical models and data processing methods used for the digitalization of high-tech production of polymeric films, characterized by flexibility, large-capacity, multi-assortment, returnable waste, have been developed. The models describe the physical processes at the main stages of production (preparation of the extrudate, forming the extrudate, fixing the film structure), take into account the variability of equipment configurations, and make it possible to calculate the quality indices of the extrudate and film that are not monitored in production. Machine learning methods are used to process production data with large volume, high accumulation rate, variety of sources, and predict the quality of films. Mathematical models and methods have been implemented in the form of a software package that is adjusted for various types of films and configurations of production systems. It helps to solve the tasks of controlling the consumer characteristics of films (thickness difference, number of surface defects of various types, shrinkage, color, telescoping). Testing according to the extrusion-calender production of pharmaceutical and food packaging films at factories in Russia and Germany has confirmed the adequacy of the models and the operability of the software package. Their use contributes to improving the production efficiency by increasing the yield of high-quality film with the same amount of raw materials and the possibility of increasing film price for customers due to a significant improvement in the consumer characteristics.

One of the most important indicators of the ecological situation within populated localities is water quality in coastal zones. For timely inspection and detection of pollution in coastal waters, automated data collection systems are used. In the paper, we propose a low-cost portable lab for analyzing the quality of water built with commercially available components, demonstrate its architecture, and test its performance. The designed system is capable of measuring the following parameters: PH, total dissolved solids, turbidity, and temperature. The system was used to analyze water in various locations in St. Petersburg, Russia. The results of the study show that the values of all measured indicators in all places of water are within the established standards, which corresponds with available data from governmental sources. © 2022 IEEE.

Currently, there are many situations in which we do not have documentation for some element, object, and we need it for various reasons. The article describes the procedure of using data from 3D scanning in a non-contact way for the reconstruction of a 3D model in modeling CAD software. The degree of approximation is determined by comparing the 3D model and the 3D scan. The accuracy of the work is checked by comparing the 3D model with the original CAD data. Obtained models can serve as data for computer-aided production, or digital imaging, for example, in virtual reality. © 2022 TAE 2022 - Proceeding of the 8th International Conference on Trends in Agricultural Engineering 2022. The study of wave movements of liquids is of interest both theoretically and practically. This can include flows with a free surface and flows with internal waves. For correct mathematical modeling of such flows, the finite-difference schemes of methods must have such properties as follows: high order of approximation, minimal scheme dissipation and dispersion, performance in a wide range of the Reynolds and the Froude numbers, and that is especially important the property of monotonicity. This chapter presents two approaches: splitting method for incompressible fluid flow (SMIF) method and compact accurately boundary adjusting high-resolution technique (CABARET) method, of course, whose finite-difference schemes have the properties listed above. The optimization problems with restriction on the amplitude of objective functions are considered. Such kind of problems concerns to the inverse (synthesis) problems according to the amplitude characteristics and belongs to the optimization problems with the incomplete input data. The variational statement foresees the deriving respective Euler equation of the optimizing functional or the systems of such equations. Due to specific of statement of problems, the derived Euler equations are nonlinear ones and have non-unique solution. Three types of such solutions are extracted and their properties and branching is investigated numerically. The numerical results are discussed for different kind of input data. © 2022 IEEE.
