Reconfigurable systems on a chip (RSoC) routing tree architecture consists of both digital elements and MOS switches. To evaluate the performance of routed integrated circuits (ICs), a netlist and a library of characterized elements is required. However, the MOS switch is an analog element and models for describing the time parameters of digital cells, including the non-linear delay model, cannot be applied to it. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a method for estimating the ICs performance based on the use of the connections equivalent electrical capacity and proposed formulas for calculating time parameters. The formulas were obtained as a result of researching the dependence of circuit timing characteristics on three parameters: the number of pass switches in the net, the load capacitance and the parameters of transistors at the output stage of the routing element. The approach allows to calculate the output signal parameters for various types of RSoC routing elements, including pass transistors, without critical losing of accuracy.

An intelligent system is described for the formation of advice to managerial production staff on quality control of polymeric films of a wide range in a routine mode and in case of emergency situations that are associated with defective films. The system is designed to control extrusion calendering production of films. The production is distinguished by its multi-stage nature, flexibility of the hardware design of the stages, the presence of a recycle for returning waste for processing, a large number and complexity of connections between the parameters of raw materials, equipment, technological mode and product quality indicators, the lack of quality control of the intermediate (extrudate) from which the film is made. Production data is characterized by a large volume, high generation velocity and a variety of sources. The complexity of the control object has required the creation of algorithms for processing its big data to predict product quality based on machine learning methods and the construction of multivariate models for describing an industrial facility. Regression analysis, artificial neural networks and boosting decision trees are used to build predictive models. The choice of method depends on the type of distribution law of production data, their volume and requirements for accuracy and processing speed. The models for describing an industrial facility are deterministic mathematical models of technological processes at the production stages for calculating unmonitored quality indicators of extrudate and film, a base of expert knowledge about emergency situations, their reasons and recommendations for elimination for forming advice to operators, as well as a data bank of film types, production line configurations, monitored and calculated production parameters for adjusting the system to hardware and technological design of production and the range of its products. The free-bending oscillations of a thin rod under var-ious conditions at its ends are considered. The parameters of stiffness and inertia depend on the longi-tudinal coordinate. The respective solutions to the Bernoulli-Euler equation are obtained using Peano and WKB methods. Dispersion equations are inves-tigated. As shown, the rarely used Peano method is an efficient tool for this problem and allows one to find modes and frequencies. The comparison demonstrates that the WKB method predicts frequencies satisfactorily even by the leading order term, but it is inaccurate in calculating modes. The Peano approach can be used to calculate rod made of functionally graded material with variable Young's mod-ulus and mass density, and also with variable pro-files. Numerical examples are presented in the context of practical assessment of the strength loss in an experimental study of alloys subjected to cyclic point loading at the resonance of bending vibrations.

EC-SfM: Efficient Covisibility-based Structure-from-Motion for Both Sequential and Unordered Images

Structure-from-Motion is a technology used to obtain scene structure through image collection, which is a fundamental problem in computer vision. For unordered Internet images, SfM is very slow due to the lack of prior knowledge about image overlap. For sequential images, knowing the large overlap between adjacent frames, SfM can adopt a variety of acceleration strategies, which are only applicable to sequential data. To further improve the reconstruction efficiency and break the gap of strategies between these two kinds of data, this paper presents an efficient covisibility-based incremental SfM. Different from previous methods, we exploit covisibility and registration dependency to describe the image connection which is suitable to any kind of data. Based on this general image connection, we propose a unified framework to efficiently reconstruct sequential images, unordered images, and the mixture of these two. Experiments on the unordered images and mixed data verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, which is three times faster than the state-of-the-art on feature matching, and an order of magnitude faster on reconstruction without sacrificing the accuracy. Inaccuracy, or printing error, is inherent to the FDM/FFF 3D printing. It can be reduced by fine-tuning and calibrating the 3D printer and all of its components, as well as by using high-quality filament. One of the least solved problems is the suppression of the ghosting (ringing) effect arising from the low natural frequencies of the 3D printer structure. We investigate the dependence of positioning rate on the quality of 3D printed objects. A cylindrical test sample is printed at different printing settings. Then, using a run-out gauge, the printing error is detected and the printhead positioning error is calculated using analysis of variance (ANOVA). As the result, we plot the dependence of print error induced by the 3D printer vibration on the positioning rate settings. © 2022 IEEE.

The article describes intelligent technologies used in the design of an information system for controlling the polymer waste processing into useful technical products. The basis of the system is a configurable information model that includes a database of characteristics of polymer waste and a knowledge base of the processes of their recycling into technical products (containers, packing materials, etc.). The knowledge base is built using a production-frame model for the representation of unformalized knowledge about the polymers compatibility, the quantitative ratio of the components of a composite mixture, waste processing methods to obtain a homogeneous mixture with specified properties (strength, resistance to aggressive substance, etc.). The result of the functioning of the system is the formation of a technological map of the production of a technical product, including information about the formulation and synthesis process of the polymer composition, specifications of the hardware design and the values of the technological modes of the production stages. Testing of the system according to the LLC “Plastic processing plant named after “Komsomolskaya Pravda” on the basis of the Polymer Ecology Training Center of SPSIT confirmed its operability and the possibility of use at polymer industry enterprises. The use of the system allows you to reduce the time spent on solving the problem of reconfiguration of production and selection of compositions, reduce defects and improve the consumer characteristics of products.

A multi-mode kinetic model of damage development under cyclic loading is proposed to describe the process of fatigue failure. To determine the coefficients of the kinetic equation of damage, the well-known criterion of multiaxial fatigue failure is used. A procedure is proposed for calculating the kinetic equation coefficients for various fatigue failure modes of the LCF-HCF and VHCF. A numerical method for calculating crack-like zones up to macrofracture is developed. The model parameters are determined from the condition of matching the experimental and calculated fatigue curve for a specimen of a certain geometry at a given load amplitude and cycle asymmetry coefficient. Using the obtained values, the results of experiments on specimens of a different geometry and asymmetry coefficients were reproduced and the model and calculation algorithm performance were confirmed. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Based on the conservative numerical method of flux, a hypersonic flow of a viscous heat-conducting gas is simulated near the landing module in Martian atmosphere. Special attention is paid to the study of the structure of non-stationary flow on the side and bottom surfaces of the module. Flow parameters data in the indicated areas are given. Vortex flow patterns near the descent module reflecting the spatial non-stationary nature of the flow are presented. The computer system for forming compositions and modeling the secondary polymer materials properties is described in the article. The polymer compositions are formed using a customizable dataware, which includes a polymer wastes database and a knowledge base for recycling polymers into useful polymer products The knowledge base is developed using a product-frame model for representing knowledge about polymers and their compatibility. Modeling and research of the secondary polymers properties (strength, elasticity and density) is carried out based on the mathematical models. The result of the modeling system is a technological map for the composite polymer mixture synthesis and the production of a useful polymer product. The map includes data on the recipe, physicochemical and technological properties of polymers as secondary raw materials, polymer composition, hardware and technological design of the process, values of technological controlled variables of individual stages of processing. The use of a modeling system in production makes it possible to reduce the time required to solve the problem of selecting compositions, as well as reconfiguring production for a new task, improve the consumer characteristics of polymer products and reduce defects.
