The methods of primary processing, modeling, visualization of data of large-capacity production of polymeric films of a wide range are described. The methods are implemented in the product quality control system. Industrial data is characterized by a big volume, high accumulation rate, a variety of sources, incompleteness, encoded values, unstructured nature. Therefore, their primary processing consists in converting them into real values, filtering, structuring by types of production parameters. The lack of measurement of a number of important quality indices of the polymeric material at the production stages, including the quality indices of the extrudate, causes incompleteness of data about the control object. This incompleteness led to the creation of a library of adjustable mathematical models for calculating quality indices depending on the control actions measured in production, with different configurations of aggregates and types of films. Complete arrays of measured and calculated parameter values are stored in a database for subsequent analysis, processing (by methods of mathematical statistics and machine learning) and visualization. The data are visualized in the form of parameter trends and histograms for distributions of the specific number of defects of various types across the film rolls. Visualization allows you to study the influence of control actions and technological additives (for example, stabilizers) on the quality of the film to select a rational recipe and production mode of the film. The proposed methods are implemented in the form of a flexible software package. It is adjusted to the range of films produced, configurations of production lines and is designed to support decision-making on the control of consumer characteristics of polymeric films. In this paper we consider the discretization effects appearing in discrete models of the extremely multistable system while simulated by various numerical methods. In our study, we investigate the following set of methods: explicit, implicit, and semi-implicit Euler methods, composition diagonally implicit (CD) methods, explicit and implicit midpoint integrators. We use bifurcation diagrams for highlighting the features of dynamics under investigation introduced by various numerical methods. Significant discrepancies between the nonlinear behavior of discrete models obtained by different integration operators are observed and explained. © 2023 IEEE.

Fractured inclusion localization and characterization based on deep convolutional neural networks

Seismic exploration is a standard method of prospecting for hydrocarbon deposits. The major goal is to correctly localize the spatial position of the fractured inclusion and estimate its parameters. In this work we investigate the applicability of machine-learning algorithms for this problem. To generate synthetic seismograms the model of a deformable solid medium containing slip planes with nonlinear slip conditions on them is used. The explicit-implicit scheme is applied for obtaining the numerical solution of a constitutive system of equations. The problem of the seismic wave propagation in an inhomogeneous fractured geological model based on the well-known Marmousi2 model in a two-dimensional case is considered. Deep convolutional neural networks are used to provide a fast solution for the inverse problem of restoring the parameters of the fractured inclusion based on the surface measurements. The neural network architecture follows a segmentation approach and targets primarily a spatial localization of the fractured inclusion. However, the mechanical parameters of the inclusion are also estimated using a single run of the same network.

Polymers have been extensively selected and considered for a variety of applications due to their advantages such as multi-functionalities, low cost and easy and well-known manufacturability. Understanding of their mechanical properties has become essential to expand the nanocomposites’ applications and efficiency, including service-life, resistance to different loads, and reliability. In this paper, the focus is on the prediction of the mechanical properties of polymeric nancomposites with organoclay nanoadditives using the modelling and simulation based Comsol Multiphysics software. The polymeric matrix investigated is a biodegradable plastic polybutylene succinate (PBS), of two types, FZ91 and FD92, respectively. A comparison between the modelled mechanical properties and the experimental measurements values was performed.

Direct numerical simulation of the stratified viscous fluid flows around a sphere and a 2D square cylinder on supercomputers and the modern visualization techniques gives us opportunity to better understand the complex transformations of the vortex structures of the wake with changing of the main non-dimensional parameters: Reynolds and internal Froude numbers. Unsteady 3D separated and undulatory fluid flows around a horizontally moving bodies are very wide spread phenomena in the nature. Mathematical modeling of such flows on supercomputers give us opportunity to better understand the complex transformations of the 3D vortex structures of wake with changing of the main non-dimensional parameters (Reynolds (Re) and internal Froude (Fr) numbers). The existing experimental data give us opportunity to confirm the results of our modeling at some values of Re and Fr. Copyright © ETC 2013 - 14th European Turbulence *** rights reserved.

The growing dependence on personal vehicles has intensified challenges in traffic management, violation monitoring, and locating stolen cars. Addressing these issues, this study introduces a real-time, smart system for detecting and recognizing Syrian car license plates using surveillance camera image processing. The system is built on a decentralized architecture with edge computers, notably the Khadas Vim3 equipped with Neural Processing Units (NPUs). It utilizes two YoloV4-tiny networks trained on a dataset of over 1100 images of Syrian license plate. The first network detects cars and plates with high accuracy, while the second recognizes numbers on the plates with 87% accuracy. Adhering to Internet of Things (IoT) principles, the system processes up to 16 frames per second for detection and 8 frames per second for broadcasting results, maintaining uninterrupted operation even if an edge computer is offline, thereby providing a consistent and efficient solution for traffic management challenges.

Intelligent education, which applies artificial intelligence technologies to the education field, has attracted increasing attention in recent years. Intelligent medical education is an effective learning way to assist medical practitioners in mastering complex medical knowledge through artificial intelligence technologies like big data analysis and machine learning. With the development of medical imaging technology, the types of medical images are becoming abundant, such as computed tomography image and magnetic resonance imaging image. Medical experts with long clinical experience can analyze the patient’s condition from different types of medical images to achieve more accurate diagnosis. Nevertheless, cultivating an expert who can accurately analyze different types of medical images is time-consuming and laborious. Therefore, it is necessary to utilize the intelligent medical education way to design medical image processing method that can guide medical practitioners in simultaneously accurately analyzing different types of medical images. The medical image registration, which can automatically align different types of medical images and guide medical practitioners in diagnosing, has become popular. However, existing methods lack labeled training data and ignore interactive information between registered images. To solve these problems, we propose a cross-view interactive network (CVIN). First, CVIN utilizes alternate stages with information interaction modules to extract data features, which can use unlabeled medical data to train the model. Second, we introduce an InfoMax module to learn the mutual information between registered images. The experiment results show that CVIN is promising and can use to guide the medical practitioners to conduct accurate disease diagnosis. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

In the paper, hardware and software of the Arduino based pure sine wave inverter with overload and overheating protection have been developed. The inverter constantly monitors the consumption current, the battery voltage, the temperature of the power switches (radiator) and, if their parameters are normal, forms a sinusoidal voltage of 230 V, 50 Hz at the output of the inverter, similar to the network voltage. The inverter provides the display of information on the LCD screen about current and power consumption, battery voltage, temperature of the inverter power switches, as well as display of emergency icons when the permissible operating parameters are exceeded. The inverter generates sound and visual warning messages with LED indicators and buzzer. The inverter can be used as a lightweight low-power 100 W network inverter with sine-wave voltage for autonomous power supply of low-power electronics.

Physical and comprehensive numerical studies of the generation of plasma bunches with a high specific energy have been carried out with the use of a plasma gun. The parameters of the plasma bunch upon exit from the plasma accelerator and during propagation in the ionosphere (h > 200 km) to considerable distances (≈100 km) have been calculated. A special numerical algorithm is presented to determine the results of the impact of a rarefied high-velocity gas flow (∼5 × 107 cm/s) on the surface of crystalline and amorphous solid bodies. Based on the results, the electron concentration and the scale of the ionized region that formed during the passage of a high-speed toroidal plasma bunch through the rarefied air were estimated. When the bunch spreads at a height ∼120 km and a distance ∼50 km, the ionized area with transverse dimensions of ∼20 km has an electron concentration of ∼6 × 108 cm–3. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
