Medical imaging modalities, including computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), X-rays, and ultrasound, are extensively employed in the healthcare industry for diagnostic purposes. Noise, on the other hand, can disturb these approaches and lead to inaccurate diagnosis. Due to this problem, the significance of noise removal technologies has grown in the field of medical imaging, specifically for the examination and understanding of medical images and anatomical structures. To tackle these challenges, a variety of denoising techniques have been developed, such as the Weiner filter (WF), Gaussian filter, and median filter. This work employs a Deep Learning (DL) method known as Convolutional Autoencoder (CAE) to remove noise from medical images. We gather chest X-ray images for analysis and focus on common noise types that affect medical images, such as Poisson and Gaussian noise. We evaluate the effectiveness of the suggested denoising method CAE by comparing it to the commonly employed WF methodology. The Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) are employed to assess and compare the performance of the WF and CAE in reducing Poisson and Gaussian noise. The study's findings indicate that the suggested denoising method based on CAE shows promising results in terms of improving quality. © 2024 IEEE.

Optimizing mechanical strength and thermal stability of sisal fiber-plastic composites by high-temperature treatment

In this experiment, high-temperature polyethylene terephthalate (PT) was mixed with epoxy resin (ER) that had been thinned with acetone. Sisal fibers were coated with the resulting product. Composites of Coated treated sisal fibre-reinforced PT (CTSF-PT) were made using a constant fiber loading of 10 wt% and processing temperatures of 230, 250, and 270ºC. The fibers were treated with NaOH. These composites were then characterized for thermal, mechanical and morphological performances. When comparing findings obtained at 250 and 270ºC, the optimal processing temperature was found to be 230ºC. This temperature resulted in the best thermal and mechanical properties, and excellent interfacial adhesion among the coated fibers and the PT. In comparison to the uncoated SF, the coated composites showed a 9.5% reduction in degradation onset temperature and a 13% improvement in decomposition temperature following resin coating, according to thermogravimetric analysis. The CSF-PT composites surpassed the uncoated composites by 2.18% and 2.8% in terms of glass transition (Tg) and melting temperature (Tm) measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), with peak values at 122.2 °C and 265.1 °C, respectively. Coated Sisal-reinforced PT (CSF-PT) and coated-treated PT (CTSF-PT) composites outperformed raw Sisal (SF-PT) composites in terms of overall qualities and morphological properties, regardless of processing temperature. Applying resin to natural fibers enhances their heat resistance and the bond between the coated fibers and the plastic matrix, making them better suited for engineering plastic composites. Applications involving high temperatures, such as construction and automotive industries are well-suited to the resulting composites. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Mobile wireless sensor networks (MWSNs) allow the sensor nodes to move freely and transmit to each other without needing a fixed infrastructure. Usually, the routing process is very complex, and it becomes even more complicated as the sensor nodes are low-power, cost-effective mobile devices with minimum resources. MWSNs raises deployed in security-critical applications due to their resource-constrained features;they are prone to several security attacks that critically affect data transmission. The most significant innovation of trust is that it evades untrustable nodes by activating several detection routes to detect and obtain node trust, enhancing security quickly. Mobility and Behavior based Trustable Routing (MBTR) is proposed to solve these issues. This approach measures sensor node mobility based on the Received Signal Strength (RSS) between the two sensor nodes. The trust manager computes the node trust ability by the node behavior. Here, the node behavior is checked through the node energy, supportive account, and received packet account. The trust manager selects the security algorithm based on distance during data transmission. The simulation examination demonstrates lesser delay and lesser packet loss in the network. Furthermore, it improves the network throughput in the MWSN. © 2023 IEEE.

In this study, an efficient system to improve the oxygen supply in hospitals and other healthcare institutions is proposed. It uses Internet of things (IoT) devices and cloud based data transmission and processing system. The controller unit collects the oxygen sensor data for the analysis and uses HTTP protocols to send and receive data with cloud computing in HTTP website server. The cloud is data storage, processes and real-time monitoring, analysis and control system. It has a user interface with viewed administrators and medical professionals. The interface provides real-time data regarding oxygen supply, consumption patterns, and possible concerns. Authorized workers can access and manage the system via the display, allowing for timely adjustments to oxygen supply settings, optimizations to refill schedules, and responses to emergency circumstances. It's adaptable, flexible, and resilient, which are benefits. There will be less need to worry about oxygen shortages and interruptions, and healthcare institutions of all sizes can benefit from this. The cloud's remote access and control capabilities provide continuous functioning and rapid reaction times. It's an effective solution for hospitals and other healthcare facilities that need to control their oxygen supplies. With its cloud-based design, the solution increases productivity, improves patient safety, and simplifies oxygen management. © 2024 IEEE.

Real-world data is complex and often consists of objects that can be decomposed into multiple entities (e.g. images into pixels, graphs into interconnected nodes). Randomized smoothing is a powerful framework for making models provably robust against small changes to their inputs - by guaranteeing robustness of the majority vote when randomly adding noise before classification. Yet, certifying robustness on such complex data via randomized smoothing is challenging when adversaries do not arbitrarily perturb entire objects (e.g. images) but only a subset of their entities (e.g. pixels). As a solution, we introduce hierarchical randomized smoothing: We partially smooth objects by adding random noise only on a randomly selected subset of their entities. By adding noise in a more targeted manner than existing methods we obtain stronger robustness guarantees while maintaining high accuracy. We initialize hierarchical smoothing using different noising distributions, yielding novel robustness certificates for discrete and continuous domains. We experimentally demonstrate the importance of hierarchical smoothing in image and node classification, where it yields superior robustness-accuracy trade-offs. Healthy/Glaucoma Fundus Retinal Image Classification using Butterfly Algorithm Optimized ResNet-Features

Hospitals frequently use medical image supported disease diagnosis to identify diseases and evaluates their severity. Automation in image examination is normally preferred to reduce the diagnostic burden. Developing a Deep-Learning Tool (DLT) to analyze the fundus-photography (FP) labeled as healthy/glaucoma class is the aim of this research. Different phases in this DLT involves the following; collection of FP database from image repository and resizing it to 224x224x3 pixels, feature extraction using ResNet (RN) model, feature reduction using the Brownian-Butterfly Algorithm (BBA), serial concatenation of features to obtain fused-features (FF), and executing the binary classification using 3-fold cross validation. This work utilized a two-fold training in order to improve detection accuracy with the FP data. This investigation is executed using individual and FF to verify the DLT’s performance. The results of this research validates that, the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) assisted classification provides 100% accuracy when FF based investigation is executed.

By fusing clinical information with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fFMRI) pictures, this study describes a novel method for predicting changes in cerebral blood flow during brain strokes. The FMRI data and patient-specific variables, such as age, gender, and medical history, are combined via feature fusion in the proposed technique. As a result, the model developed can accurately forecast changes in cerebral blood flow that occur during brain strokes. The efficiency of the suggested strategy is shown by experimental findings. The performance of the model is greatly enhanced when FMRI data and clinical characteristics are combined as opposed to just one data source. The findings of this study have important ramifications for increasing the accuracy of stroke diagnosis and treatment and, eventually, for bettering patient outcomes. The experimental results showed that the proposed method a high level of accuracy in predicting changes in cerebral blood flow after brain strokes. The performance of the model was much enhanced by combining clinical characteristics with FMRI data as opposed to using only one of these data sources. This emphasizes the value of including pertinent clinical information in the diagnosis and management of stroke. © 2023 IEEE.

Protein-protein interactions are of great significance for human to understand the functional mechanisms of *** the rapid development of high-throughput genomic technologies,massive protein-protein interaction(PPI)data have been generated,making it very difficult to analyze them *** address this problem,this paper presents a distributed framework by reimplementing one of state-of-the-art algorithms,i.e.,CoFex,using *** do so,an in-depth analysis of its limitations is conducted from the perspectives of efficiency and memory consumption when applying it for large-scale PPI data analysis and *** solutions are then devised to overcome these *** particular,we adopt a novel tree-based data structure to reduce the heavy memory consumption caused by the huge sequence information of *** that,its procedure is modified by following the MapReduce framework to take the prediction task distributively.A series of extensive experiments have been conducted to evaluate the performance of our framework in terms of both efficiency and *** results well demonstrate that the proposed framework can considerably improve its computational efficiency by more than two orders of magnitude while retaining the same high accuracy.

In this paper, proposed a new vision to personify music recommendation by face emotion recognition technology. Emotions play a crucial role in the way humans perceive and respond to music. This system aims to enhance the user experience by recommending music based on their real-time facial expressions, allowing for a more immersive and emotionally resonant listening experience. So here employed deep learning techniques to detect facial emotions accurately and use them as input to our music recommendation algorithm. The proposed method modified convolution neural network ensures user privacy and data security by processing emotions locally on the user's device without uploading any sensitive information to external servers. Through experimental evaluation, here demonstrate the effectiveness and usability of the emotion-based music recommendation system and finally shown this method is very effective with the help of accuracy and F1 score. © 2023 IEEE.

The early diagnosis of visual problems such as diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma relies on the successful completion of medical image processing tasks such as the segmentation of retinal blood vessels. The process of isolating retinal blood vessels from images of the retinal fundus is a challenging one because of the similarities in intensity that exist between blood vessels and the surrounding tissues. In addition, there are differences in the size, shape, and intensity of the vessels. In recent times, a number of different algorithms based on deep learning have been presented for the segmentation of retinal blood vessels. These techniques have been shown to be more accurate and dependable when compared to the traditional computer vision methods that have been used. In this abstract, we present the U-Net deep learning model as well as a technique for segmenting retinal blood vessels that is based on the programming language Python. A U-Net model is trained using a series of retinal fundus images so that the features of retinal blood vessels may be comprehended. As part of the inference process, the image of the retinal fundus is loaded into a trained version of the U-Net model. This model then generates a probability map that illustrates the chance that each pixel represents an artery in the human body. The final segmentation is produced by applying a threshold to the probability map. When it comes to the process of segmenting retinal blood vessels, our python-based solution outperforms methods that are considered to be state-of-the-art in studies comparing accuracy and speed. The scientific and medical communities have unrestricted access to the software that may be used to put the suggested strategy into action since it is an open-source initiative. In conclusion, the python-based approach for retinal blood vessel segmentation that makes use of U-Net provides a potentially helpful solution for identifying retinal illnesses and has the potential to serve as a stan
