Diminishing the appearance of a fence in an image is a challenging research area due to the characteristics of fences(thinness, lack of texture, etc.) and the need for occluded background restoration. In this paper, we describe a fence removal method for an image sequence captured by a user making a sweep motion, in which occluded background is potentially observed. To make use of geometric and appearance information such as consecutive images, we use two well-known approaches: structure from motion and light field rendering. Results using real image sequences show that our method can stably segment fences and preserve background details for various fence and background combinations. A new video without the fence, with frame coherence, can be successfully provided.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are used in various contexts and offer a wide range of applications, despite being a decentralized, resource-scarce network type; this is why this study deals with the problem of malicious nodes. Identifying such nodes is important to preventing the compromise of the network and all the nodes in it. In this paper, a comparative study of two popular classifiers named Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest (RF) in order to detect hostile nodes in WSNs. By nature, a malicious node in a network will cause significant problems to the users. There are number of models also there to detect the malicious node. Based on the above-discussed parameters the paper compares these algorithms in terms of detection accuracy, computational complexity, scalability and performance measure of imbalanced data. The comparison draws on different targets such as accuracy, capacity/large scale, speed, and small sample imbalance, and noise. As stated in this paper, both SVM and Random Forest have its own strengths where the selection between them mainly depends on the network environment and the features of the malicious activity.

In this paper, we propose a novel free-form deformation (FFD) technique, RDMS-FFD (Rational DMS-FFD), based on rational DMS-spline volumes. RDMS-FFD inherits some good properties of rational DMS-spline volumes and combines more deformation techniques than previous FFD methods in a consistent framework, such as local deformation, control lattice of arbitrary topology, smooth deformation, multiresolution deformation and direct manipulation of deformation. We first introduce the rational DMS-spline volume by directly generalizing the previous results related to DMS-splines. How to generate a tetrahedral domain that approximates the shape of the object to be deformed is also introduced in this paper. Unlike the traditional FFD techniques, we manipulate the vertices of the tetrahedral domain to achieve deformation results. Our system demonstrates that RDMS-FFD is powerful and intuitive in geometric modeling.
