Blockchain, initially developed as the underlying technology for Bitcoin, has garnered significant attention for its applications beyond cryptocurrency, particularly in complex non-monetary domains. Utilizing cryptographic methods like hashing and asymmetric encryption, combined with a distributed consensus model, Blockchain-based ledgers achieve high levels of security and immutability, effectively removing the need for third-party intermediaries. Meanwhile, the rapid growth in Internet of Things (IoT) devices being connected to networks raises substantial concerns around security and privacy. Addressing these security challenges is essential for the expanding IoT landscape. This paper explores the blockchain solution by integrating cryptocurrency with IoT for enhanced security, reviewing recent studies and applications to evaluate Blockchain's role in IoT security, pinpoint challenges, and propose Blockchain-driven solutions to improve security in the IoT ecosystem. © 2025 IEEE.

We present an annotation tool designed to collect fine-grain continuous emotion ground truth labels and physiological responses as users watch different videos. In the existing literature, continuous emotion annotations are typically collected as self-reports based on the 2D Circumplex model through auxiliary devices (a joystick or similar tools) during video consumption. However, the users face challenges as they need to use an auxiliary device and rely on the Circumplex model's valence and arousal axis without clear indication of distinct emotion labels. Therefore, to overcome these challenges, we introduce PResCon, a tool that allows to collect emotion annotations using keyboard arrow keys only (without using any auxiliary device) and guiding users towards the discrete emotions (e.g., amused, stressed, bored, relaxed) by embedding them on the Circumplex plane. The tool encompasses two major components - (a) a web interface that displays various stimuli videos and provision of collecting emotion labels (valence and arousal) by moving the keyboard arrow keys and (b) a sensor setup (based on Arduino) that allows to collect the physiological responses (heart rate and galvanic skin response) passively during video consumption. In summary, the PResCon tool facilitates research in the domain of affective computing by allowing to collect fine-grain continuous emotion annotations and the physiological responses in real-time during video consumption. © 2025 IEEE.

The epidemic growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) objects have revolutionized Maritime Transportation systems (MTS). Though, it becomes challenging for the centralized cloud-centric framework to fulfil the application requirements such as low latency and power utilization. The introduction of the distributed edge-centric framework has recently helped the IoT-enabled MTS to meet these requirements by manipulating the tasks at the edge of the networks. Despite the fact that MTS leverages mobile subscribers by overcoming inherent cloud computing limitations, data security and user privacy requirements in establishing the MTS setup are still non-trivial challenges. In this article, we develop a key agreement solution for mobile users to realize mutual authentication in a single round. Our protocol offers user anonymity to maintain user privacy, and it can prevent physical attacks by physically unclonable functions. Initially, the security analysis is conferred to substantiate our protocol's security persistence or strength. Later, its performance correlation is observed under the assumption of diverse metrics in a predefined empirical setup. The meticulous performance correlation endorses the precedence of our protocol over specified related protocols. © 2000-2011 IEEE.

Neuronal feature visualization is widely used in Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI). It can provide an intuitive visualization to depict the feature extraction of an individual neuron in a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). However, it is extremely exhaustive for human users to identify highly interpretable visualizations by manually browsing massive neurons contained in a CNN. Inspired by the Shapley Value Method in coalitional game theory, this paper proposes a metric to quantitatively measure the interpretability of a neuronal feature visualization by calculating the similarity between the SHAP (SHapley Additive exPlanation) image and the visualization. This metric can help human users quickly find highly interpretable neuronal feature visualizations for understanding the classification results of a CNN. © 2023 Owner/Author.

With the evolution of existing modeling languages and the emergence of more and more new modeling languages, it is necessary to rapidly build the corresponding software modeling tools with good quality. However, modeling tools for larger modeling languages are usually diversity in function and complexity in implementation technology. Taking building modeling tools as a domain, this paper presents an approach to building software modeling tools based on metamodeling and product line technologies. The paper provides the concept system of the approach and a feature model from diverse functions of modeling tools in order to specify the commonality and variability of the tools by deeply making the domain analysis, discusses the design and implementation of a general tool framework that provides the conveniences for reusing components and generating code for components, and specifies the mapping between the feature model and the components for modeling tools.

Education quality has undoubtedly become an important local and international benchmark for education,and an institute’s ranking is assessed based on the quality of education,research projects,theses,and dissertations,which has always been ***,this research paper is influenced by the institutes ranking all over the *** data of institutes are obtained through Google Scholar(GS),as input to investigate the United Kingdom’s Research Excellence Framework(UK-REF)*** this purpose,the current research used a Bespoke Program to evaluate the institutes’ranking based on their *** bespoke program requires changes to improve the results by addressing these methodological issues:Firstly,Redundant profiles,which increased their citation and rank to produce false ***,the exclusion of theses and dissertation documents to retrieve the actual publications to count for ***,the elimination of falsely owned articles from scholars’*** accomplish this task,the experimental design referred to collecting data from 120 UK-REF institutes and GS for the present year to enhance its correlation analysis in this new *** data extracted from GS is processed into structured data,and afterward,it is utilized to generate statistical computations of citations’analysis that contribute to the ranking based on their *** research promoted the predictive approach of correlational ***,experimental evaluation reported encouraging results in comparison to the previous modi-fication made by the proposed *** paper discussed the limitations of the current evaluation and suggested the potential paths to improve the research impact algorithm.

Large Language Models (LLMs) have shown promising performance in text-to-SQL, which involves translating natural language questions into SQL queries. However, current text-to-SQL LLMs are computationally expensive and challenging to deploy in real-world applications, highlighting the importance of compressing them. To achieve this goal, knowledge distillation (KD) is a common approach, which aims to distill the larger teacher model into a smaller student model. While numerous KD methods for autoregressive LLMs have emerged recently, it is still under-explored whether they work well in complex text-to-SQL scenarios. To this end, we conduct a series of analyses and reveal that these KD methods generally fall short in balancing performance and efficiency. In response to this problem, we propose to improve the KD with Imperfect Data, namely KID, which effectively boosts the performance without introducing much training budget. The core of KID is to efficiently mitigate the training-inference mismatch by simulating the cascading effect1 of inference in the imperfect training data. Extensive experiments on 5 text-to-SQL benchmarks show that, KID can not only achieve consistent and significant performance gains (up to +5.83% average score) across all model types and sizes, but also effectively improve the training efficiency. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Mobile Ad-Hoc network is a self-configuring and multi-hop collection of mobile devices for making successful communication. The wireless and mobile communication process are encountered based on bandwidth, process control and energy conception. Energy conception is considered and dynamically changed to rely on life time of batteries and power. The life time of battery get exhausted very quickly the nodes are moved and changed rapidly across the network. This paper noticed the problem of life time of power, batteries and energy consumption problem in various routing stages. The proposed Intelligent Gen Algorithm is used to get optimal solution for ensuring high robustness, flexibility and Energy consumption factor. It presents a common framework to balance various routing requirements in MANETs dynamically. The following are the main contributions includes, i. introducing Intelligent GEN Algorithms to classify the throughout bandwidth, delay, data ratio. ii. Various routing performance are evaluated and viewed by speed, packetize and simulation time. The comparison evaluated by select routing algorithm using NS-2. The simulation results are recorded and the performance is monitored by using on demand access protocl. With advancements in artificial intelligence, it is natural for the health industry to focus on IOT devices. AI could promote a paradigm shift in how doctors and patients interact through immediate updates, predictive features, and remote access. The focus of this study is the outreach and employment aspects revolving around AI-enabled health care, with special attention to mHealth solutions. We searched through published data and came across 112 relevant studies identifying keywords such as accessibility, empowerment, and workforce. One of the most interesting findings was the fact that AI targeting mobile applications has the possibility of increasing access to health services by approximately 60 percent for rural areas, as well as increasing the patient cooperative rate by approximately 45%, where a predictive health tracking device has been utilized. We proposed two new measures: the Physical Activity and Nutrition Index (PANI) and Health Status Index (HSI), allowing for better diabetes risk predictions with a 0.82 AUC-ROC and better generalizability than traditional baselines, with an improvement of 12%. When identifying the best available ML models, including Logistic Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, and Bayesian Neural Networks, we found that the hybrid Random Forest + Linear SVC model had the best performance with recall and accuracy of 0.77 and 0.72, respectively. The ability of the model to demonstrate both interpretability and specificity was evident. It was also observed that synthetic data augmentation (SMOTE) increased the recall for minority class predictions by 18% but did not reduce specificity. © 2025 IEEE.

We performed machine learning using spectrum analysis and power spectra of electroencephalograms (EEGs) of patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Spectrum analysis was performed on the EEGs of MCI patients and healthy individuals, and the power spectrum values of the two groups were calculated and compared. Based on the power spectrum values of the theta and alpha bands, models for discriminating MCI patients were created using a support vector machine (SVM), and their accuracies were compared. In the spectrum analysis, the theta band showed significantly higher power spectrum values in the MCI group. In the comparison of the accuracies of SVM models, the model using the theta band showed higher values in parameters, such as accuracy rate. These results suggested that the power spectrum values of the theta band are useful for discriminating MCI patients. © 2024 IEEE.
