Natural Averaging May Complement Known Biological Constraints in Bi-parental Reproduction’s Advantages Over Mono-parental in Conserving Species Quantitative Traits

Commonly recognized evolutionarily relevant effects of sexual reproduction include increased diversity, accelerated adaptation, and constrained accumulation of deleterious mutations, along with a secondary effect of species genotype homogenization. Still, strong published arguments prioritize the contribution of biological mechanisms underlying bi-parental reproduction to maintaining species identity above their contribution to diversity. Here, we contribute to the latter position. In an initial mathematical analysis and simulation, we show that in an environment where copying is prone to error, quantitative polygenic traits that are shared within a parents’ generation are transmitted to future generations under bi-parental reproduction with less deviation than under asexual reproduction. Furthermore, we abstract away many biological details, and show that this trait conservation is a general statistical effect, driven by the very nature of mixing of parental traits, separately from DNA repair and from the reproductive failures, barriers and disadvantages induced by biological mechanisms. Since survival of ecosystem interaction networks depends on the ability of individuals to replace the networked function of failing, dying or absent members of the same species, more faithful inheritance of common traits helps sustain species and ecosystems. Rationale for this review is the pressing medical and social problem of the posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment. It is known that biofeedback technology is one of the most effective methods of treatment and rehabilitation for emotional profile disorders. In order to develop biofeedback aimed to PTSD rehabilitation, we conducted a literature search on this problem. However, it appears that at the moment there is not enough unambiguous data on this type of biofeedback design. The pathogenesis of PTSD is closely related to impaired efficiency of sensorimotor integration (SMI). The effectiveness of therapy for psychosomatic disorders in patients with PTSD can be increased by restoring normal sensorimotor integration. The review examines various autonomic, electrophysiological and postural markers of destroyed sensorimotor integration (SMI) in individuals with PTSD. We have found that the most informative indicators of SMI in norm include: an increase in EEG power in the individually determined high-frequency alpha subrange, a decrease in the speed of body sway and energy demands to maintain a vertical posture, and a decrease in EMG activity of muscles not involved in cognitive or psychomotor performance. We intend to use these indicators in diagnostic purposes and to develop neurofeedback technology for SMI recovery in patients with PTSD. © 2023 IEEE.

Studies have shown significant benefits of the use of Domain Specific Languages (DSL). However, designing a DSL still seems to be an art, rather than a craft following a clear methodology. It is a hard task to design and implement traffic flow simulators with minimum difficulty. Numerous factors contribute to urban roadways traffic flow problems including weather factors, road factors, human factors, and so on. It is valued to design a single modeling tool for tracing the influences. This paper presents a DSL Xtext grammar of the driver logical condition model, which is one of the entire framework models designed for modeling traffic flow factors.

The challenge is to provide a convenient tool for modeling traffic problems. Many factors affect traffic related to the driver or human factor, weather factor, road conditions, vehicle performance and characteristics factor, etc. It is necessary to propose a model where the influence of these factors can be described uniformly. Furthermore, the factors described are loaded into the general mechanism of motion modeling. To overcome this problem we started to build a DSL language of Traffic Flow Factor Framework (TFFF). This paper introduces an Xtext grammar of weather condition model, which is part of factors. It also touches on Longitudinal Model (LM) a mathematical model used more often to capture the weather factors involved in driving vehicles and traffic flow modeling.

The total-color neighbor of a vertex u of G is the color set C f(u) = {f(x) | x ? T N (u)}. For any two adjacent vertices x and y of V(G) such that C f(x) ≠ C f(y), we refer to f as a k-avsdt-coloring of G (“avsdt” is the abbreviation of “ adjacent-vertex-strongly-distinguishing total”). The avsdt-coloring number of G, denoted by χast(G), is the minimal number of colors required for a avsdt-coloring of G. In this paper, the avsdt-coloring numbers on some familiar graphs are studied, such as paths, cycles, complete graphs, complete bipartite graphs and so on. We prove Δ(G) + 1 ? χast(G) ? Δ(G) + 2 for any tree or unique cycle graph G.

Since cross traffic in inner city intersections is potentially dangerous, its early detection is desirable. In this paper an image-based driver-assistant system is presented. The investigation of optical flow, computed from an image sequence, recorded by a single pan-tilt camera, is used as basis to this system. Its goal is to direct the driver's attention to moving objects in inner city intersections.
