Detecting sarcasm in social media presents challenges in natural language processing (NLP) due to the informal language, contextual complexities, and nuanced expression of sentiment. Integrating sentiment analysis (SA) with sarcasm detection enhances the understanding of text meaning. Deep learning (DL), utilizing neural networks to grasp lexical and contextual features, offers a method for sarcasm detection. However, current DL-based sarcasm detection methods often overlook sentiment semantics, a crucial aspect for improving detection outcomes. Therefore, this study develops a new sarcasm detection using grasshopper optimization algorithm with DL (SD-GOADL) technique. The SD-GOADL technique aims to explore the patterns that exist in social media data and detect sarcasm. To obtain this, the SD-GOADL technique undergoes data pre-processing and Glove based word embedding technique. Next, the classification of sarcasm takes place using deep belief network (DBN) system. For enhancing the detection results of the DBN approach, the SD-GOADL technique uses GOA for hyperparameter selection process. The stimulation outcome of the SD-GOADL technique is tested on a sarcasm dataset and the results highlight the significant performance of the SD-GOADL technique compared to recent models. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

The domain of stock price prediction is extensively researched owing to its complex data structure and numerous influential factors. In the current epoch, many modern financial applications demonstrate non-linear and uncertain characteristics that exhibit temporal variability. As a result, there has been a notable rise in the need for resolutions to highly non-linear and time-variant issues. External factors, including public sentiment and political events, can influence stock market trends. The primary aim of this research is to propose a novel framework for predicting the blue-chip stock price in the future by combining historical stock data corresponding to the financial news published regarding stock in the newspaper. The initial step involves integrating sentiment and situational features into a machine-learning model. This integration aims to evaluate public sentiments’ influence on algorithms’ predictive precision thirty days ahead. Furthermore, regression models are utilized to analyze the inter-dependencies that exist among companies. To facilitate an experimental analysis, the researchers acquired historical data from the stock market through reputable sources such as the National Stock Exchange-India and collected news data about stock from the financial newspaper “EconomicTimes”. A series of machine learning models were tested to facilitate the classification of news sentiments of the stocks, followed by the fusion of resultant polarities with the stock’s historical data on the standard column “DATE” and then tested series of deep learning models to observe the impact of news on stock price and by taking reference of this, the authors successfully predicted the stock price on a random day. In recent years, the You Only Look Once (YOLO) series of object detection algorithms have garnered significant attention for their speed and accuracy in real-time applications. This paper presents YOLOv8, a novel object detection algorithm that builds upon the advancements of previous iterations, aiming to further enhance performance and robustness. Inspired by the evolution of YOLO architectures from YOLOv1 to YOLOv7, as well as insights from comparative analyses of models like YOLOv5 and YOLOv6, YOLOv8 incorporates key innovations to achieve optimal speed and accuracy. Leveraging attention mechanisms and dynamic convolution, YOLOv8 introduces improvements specifically tailored for small object detection, addressing challenges highlighted in YOLOv7. Additionally, the integration of voice recognition techniques enhances the algorithm's capabilities for video-based object detection, as demonstrated in YOLOv7. The proposed algorithm undergoes rigorous evaluation against state-of-the-art benchmarks, showcasing superior performance in terms of both detection accuracy and computational efficiency. Experimental results on various datasets confirm the effectiveness of YOLOv8 across diverse scenarios, further validating its suitability for real-world applications. This paper contributes to the ongoing advancements in object detection research by presenting YOLOv8 as a versatile and high-performing algorithm, poised to address the evolving needs of computer vision systems. © 2024 IEEE.

The AI-Enhanced Learning Assistant Platform is a revolutionary system designed to enhance learning, with cutting-edge features like question and answer generation, answer evaluation, identification of weak areas, recursive testing, an integrated query forum, and expert chat support. This platform makes use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to try to satisfy the many needs that students and teachers have. This research study proposes the development of comprehensive vital sign surveillance designed for real-time patient assessment. The system integrates multiple sensors, including the LM35 temperature sensor, Heartbeat Rate (HBR) and Blood Oxygen (SpO2) Sensor, DHT11 humidity and temperature sensor, OLED display, and gyroscope sensor, to provide a holistic approach to vital signs. The LM35 sensor is employed for accurate temperature measurement, providing crucial data for monitoring the patient's thermal status. This information is essential for detecting fever or abnormal temperature variations, aiding in the early identification of potential health issues. The HBR and SpO2 sensor plays a vital role in cardiovascular vital signs. The system can assess the patient's cardiac and respiratory well-being by measuring the heart rate and blood oxygen levels. Abnormalities in these parameters can trigger timely alerts, enabling swift medical intervention. The DHT11 sensor enhances the system's capabilities by monitoring ambient temperature and humidity. This additional environmental data contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the patient's surroundings, ensuring that external factors are considered in the health assessment process. Integrating an OLED display serves as an intuitive user interface, providing real-time feedback on the measured parameters. This ensures that patients and healthcare providers can easily interpret and respond to the health data presented by the system. The display can showcase temperature, humidity, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and other relevant information in a user-friendly format. Furthermore, the gyroscope sensor adds a layer of sophistication to vital sign surveillance by enabling the assessment of body movement and posture. This feature is particularly beneficial for patients with mobility issues or those prone to falls. The rapid growth of the digital industry has created a higher demand for robust Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS) to protect valuable information and the integrity of network infrastructures as the digital industry grows rapidly. One of the most important challenges in the current intrusion detection landscape is the growing sophistication of cyber threats, including zero-day attacks, polymorphic malware, and advanced persistent threats, which are difficult to detect using traditional methods. Furthermore, systems often suffer from high false positive rates and struggle to scale effectively in real-time applications. Traditionally, intrusion detection methods were quite effective, but performance is still lacking due to the inability to adapt to evolving threats. Recent breakthroughs include deep learning approaches, ensemble methods, and hybrid detection models. However, these are still plagued by high computational overhead and a lack of transparency in their decision-making processes. The work exploits Optuna for the optimization of hyperparameters, specifically in the performance improvement of various ML models. Among the best-ranked frameworks for the optimization of hyperparameters, Optuna provides a principled method for tuning hyperparameters, resulting in significantly enhanced accuracy and efficiency of the intrusion detection model. The implication of this research work is that it searches for the best configuration of parameters for each algorithm with balanced false positives and detection rates. The study includes an overall scenario of recent development in NIDS. More precisely, this paper shows how Hyperparameter tuning attains very superior model performance compared to other models. The comparative results presented have shown that models which are optimized using Optuna surpass the non-optimized ones by a huge margin with respect to accuracy, recall, precision, and F1-score. This study, detailed below, introduces a new method of handling crimes in particular states, using ensemble machine learning and data visualization techniques in particular, as a way to enhance public safety. Crime detection is a hard task for two concerns, the complexities of the crime and the enormity of the data. By means of random forest and AdaBoost ensemble learning techniques we can model sophisticated problems of the relationship between features such as crime data as a way to match predictions. The other point we stress is data visualization which allows us to comprehend the patterns and connections that have been derived from the ensemble learning process. In addition to the analysis of local crime data, the hybrid approach that we propose involves the inclusion of national crime data to make the identification of hidden crime patterns at state level possible. This move will enable the law enforcement agencies to gain a better understanding of the activities and to effectively respond to the crimes. The proposed methodology represents a, robust and efficient solution to statewise crime detection utilizing the advantages of machine learning and mapping tools. © 2024 IEEE.

Modernization and intense industrialization have led to a substantial improvement in people’s quality of life. However, the aspiration for achieving an improved quality of life results in environmental contamination. A primary consequence of environmental degradation is air pollution, resulting from rising levels of poisonous chemicals in the atmosphere, which may induce detrimental health conditions in humans. It is harmful to both humans and agriculture. Given that the effects of air pollution on plants may not be readily apparent, it is important to analyse the necessary data and compute the outcomes. Farmers prioritise on pests and plant diseases, frequently neglecting the detrimental impacts of air pollution. Some plant species can withstand high amounts of pollution from suspended particulate matter and accumulated gases, while others are more susceptible to harm. Therefore, plants’ reaction to air pollution is influenced by the kind of harmful compounds, their levels, and the plant’s susceptibility to them. The LSTM +CNN Proposed Ensemble method may be used to analyse the impact of air pollution on agriculture by examining trends in crop production over time and predicting which crop is more resistant based on the pollution data. The initiative created for this aim may assist farmers in determining the most suitable crop to cultivate in their fields to minimize the impact of air pollution on agricultural yield. The findings show deep learning algorithms correctly predict hourly pollutant concentrations such as carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ground-level ozone, and particulate matter 2.5, along with the hourly Air Quality Index (AQI) for California. A proposed model used test RMSE values as a measure to evaluate prediction performance, achieving the best possible results. © 2025 SCPE.
