An excellent cardinality estimation can make the query optimiser produce a good execution *** there are some studies on cardinality estimation,the prediction results of existing cardinality estimators are inaccurate and the query efficiency cannot be guaranteed as *** particular,they are difficult to accurately obtain the complex relationships between multiple tables in complex database *** dealing with complex queries,the existing cardinality estimators cannot achieve good *** this study,a novel cardinality estimator is *** uses the core techniques with the BiLSTM network structure and adds the attention ***,the columns involved in the query statements in the training set are sampled and compressed into ***,the Word2vec model is used to embed the word vectors about the query ***,the BiLSTM network and attention mechanism are employed to deal with word *** proposed model takes into consideration not only the correlation between tables but also the processing of complex *** experiments and the evaluation of BiLSTM-Attention Cardinality Estimator(BACE)on the IMDB datasets are *** results show that the deep learning model can significantly improve the quality of cardinality estimation,which is a vital role in query optimisation for complex databases.

Not so long ago, online shopping for groceries, electronics, and furniture items seemed futuristic. But today, it has become a norm to order requisites through online platforms using smart devices and deliver them to customers' doorstep. With the emerge of technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, augmented reality, retail becomes progressively effortless. One such emerging futuristic technology involved recently in online shopping is Augmented Reality (AR) which is rapidly adopted by many industries. In multi-story supercenters, also known as 'Hypermarkets', the customer often feels lost due to difficulty in finding exactly what they looking for, and also in conventional online shopping, often customers are in two minds whether to purchase an item or not since it lacks the proper visualization, touch, and feel of the product. In this research study, we propose a mobile-based solution with augmented reality, which assists the customer when shopping in-store as well as when shopping online to mitigate the difficulties and hesitancies faced while shopping. The results are commendable with 96.21 % accuracy in suggesting visually similar items and 89.59% accuracy in detecting emotional implications of product reviews. © 2021 IEEE.

The software development process is more flexible with the concept of containerization in the microservice platform. This research is on three key components to resolve problems faced by the developers and DevOps teams in the IT industry. First, the development phase expects a fully automated software release process from to the deployment phase and then optimize processes tailored to Docker, and Kubernetes, in microservice-based applications. Then streamline the process and leverage the container orchestration technologies to monitor the main aspect of the development lifecycle through the multi-cloud deployment on demand of the growth of day-today releases on multi-regions. A centralized monitoring platform is developed to monitor the deployed applications and that provides comprehensive visibility regarding performance and health of microservices. At the stage of scalarization in microservices, Vertical Pod Autoscaling (VPA) and Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA) are available approaches for resource allocation, and they require measuring the minimum and maximum resource limits. As a result, an intelligent resource allocation system is proposed using a combination of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) algorithms to cater to dynamic resource allocation, optimizing scalability, and improving cost-efficiency. This research aims to achieve practical insights into the IT industry’s automated deployment, managing, scaling, and monitoring of microservice-based applications through the mentioned components.

The Fashion industry is one of the extensive, changeable, and growing businesses to exist. It encompasses fashion retailing which functions as a mediator between the manufacturers and clients. On account of the inconsistency of this industry, maximizing sales has been a crucial task. The objective of this research study is to analyze and explore product and consumer behavior and thereby maximize sales in the fashion retail industry for women's clothing to overcome the struggles regarding gaining sales confronted by the industry. The emergence of big data and machine learning has a positive influence on fashion retailing. ML has been utilized in this research to implement a web application that aids in optimizing sales. It comprehends sales forecasting, customer segmentation, and customer demand analytics. Each research component obtains diverse inputs to initialize the prediction and visualization procedure. The models are built employing the Extra Trees Regressor algorithm, K-means algorithm, and Naïve Bayes algorithm. Finally, for specified inputs, results will be predicted that comprise sales forecasts for products, segmentation of consumers, and forecasts about most demanded fashion item's characteristics. This paper portrays the proceedings of data preparation, model development, and results of each research component. © 2021 IEEE.

Sri Lankan music is yet to prove its musical prowess by incorporating artificial intelligence tools, therefore, this research introduces a novel invention, an automated audio plugin for music producers, so the process of creating, mixing, mastering, and producing music is easier. To achieve this, the research introduces a Variational AutoEncoder (VAE) machine learning model to create and generate music, an artificial intelligence (AI) system that can automate the mastering process. This research also introduces an innovative component, a virtual instrumentation tool using MIDI technology for the Sri Lankan percussion instruments that allow users to play the instrument virtually using a MIDI keyboard, and alongside it, a preset beat generator that automatically maintain tempo consistency. Thuryalankara was able to receive a collective average of 80% accuracy rate exceeding the predicted accuracy rate of 65% from the software benchmarking test and the physical survey conducted with music producers. Finally, with the inclusion of powerful tools like this, the ultimate objective of this research is to take the Sri Lankan instruments to the international level where any producer from little to plenty experience is able to use this plugin to enhance their musical production. © 2021 IEEE.

Microservices is a trending architecture, and due to its demanding features and behaviors, billions of business applications are developed based on it. Due to its remarkable ability to deploy and coordinate containerized microservices, Kubernetes deployments support the service mesh architectures, and that ensures secured inter-service communication. The Istio is the widely used service mesh tool at present. However, service-to-service communication happens in the present Istio architecture, and there is a probability of exchanging unauthorized and over-provisioned requests due to incorrect implementation. Currently, these requests are verified within the upstream microservice. Obtaining a response to an erroneous request may take considerable time latency. This research thereby aims to address a solution to reduce the latency of a response by implementing an external validation model. The proposed external validation model ensures that the required parameters are validated and actions are taken before requests reach the service level. External validation enables applications to save significant time and resources. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper presents a multimodal interaction system designed for speech-based autism intervention in Sinhala-speaking Sri Lankan children, utilizing the NAO robot. The system integrates four components, language content detection, dialog management, voice synthesis, and gesture synthesis, to create an engaging and adaptive therapeutic environment. By leveraging these technologies, the system provides real-time, personalized responses that align with the cultural and linguistic needs of Sinhala-speaking children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The NAO robot facilitates natural and supportive interaction through synchronized speech and gestures, aiming to improve communication and social skills in children with ASD. Preliminary evaluations demonstrate the potential of the system to enhance engagement and responsiveness in therapy sessions, marking a significant step forward in developing specialized interventions for autism in non-Western, non-English-speaking contexts.

The utilization of facial makeup is an important attribute in modern society as a means of self-expression, and as a method to feel more confident during social interactions. A makeover has become a necessity when attending divergent functions, and makeup used on diverse occasions varies in style. Choosing the perfect makeup that best suits a person is challenging unless they have years of expertise with cosmetics. This paper proposes a 'Virtual Makeover and Makeup Recommendation System' to eliminate the need to be concerned about the appearance after applying makeup. The proposed system enables real-time makeup simulation in an Augmented Reality (AR) environment and recommends makeup styles considering skin tone, colour of clothing and hair, type of clothing and occasion to be attended with makeup. The personal traits of a user would be automatically detected and processed to generate recommendations for makeup products, namely lipstick, foundation and eyeshadow. Complications of wasting makeup products and time, and cleaning makeup can be mitigated by using a real-time makeup simulation system. Recommendations generated by the application assist the users to decide on makeup styles and provides a better user experience. The proposed system is developed with the aid of Deep Learning (DL) algorithms. © 2021 IEEE.

Obesity is a condition where there is excess fat in the body, and it is one of the world's most extreme and dangerous dietary diseases. Genetic factors, lack of physical activity, unhealthy eating patterns, or a combination of these factors are the most common causes of obesity. This is important because it influences every part of a child's life. More, in particular, this disorder leads to poor health and negative social standing with perceptions. Nowadays, children are paying keen interest in technology and related devices. Therefore, in this research, we are planning to give a mobile-based solution with a smart band that is used to monitor the child. In this solution, we are mainly focusing on Sri Lankan children with obesity who are aged between 5-10. In our solution, there are four main sections which are, monitoring child activities, recognizing the activities, and getting relevant data, then based on those data and previous activity completion levels, this solution will suggest activities for losing weight, provide specific diet plans for each child considering the health conditions and predict the probability of having main obesity-related diseases by using previously gathered data. © 2021 IEEE.

Personalization is one of the most sought out and popular methods for brand recognition and consumer attraction. The usage of deep reinforcement learning due to its' ability to learn actions the way humans learn from experience, if utilized and evaluated properly it can result in a revolutionary effect on personalization. The methodology proposed in this research utilizes deep reinforcement learning where an artificial agent may be trained by interacting with its environment. Utilizing the experience gathered, the agent is able optimize in the form of rewards. The approach explained, can be utilized across applications which can be personalized. Several scenarios ranging from changing the layout of webpages, to rearranging icons on mobile home screens are discussed. The main objective is to develop an API for the web developers and smartphone manufacturers to utilize so that depending on the application personalization can be achieved by enhancing saliency, minimizing selection time, increasing engagement, or an arrangement of these. The technique can manage a variety of adaptations, such as how graphical elements are shown and how they behave. An experiment was conducted which showcased improved user experience considering the position change of the user interface elements thereby personalizing the layout. © 2021 IEEE.
