In the cloud environment,ensuring a high level of data security is in high *** planning storage optimization is part of the whole security process in the cloud *** enables data security by avoiding the risk of data loss and data *** development of data flow scheduling approaches in the cloud environment taking security parameters into account is *** our work,we propose a data scheduling model for the cloud *** is made up of three parts that together help dispatch user data flow to the appropriate *** first component is the Collector Agent whichmust periodically collect information on the state of the network *** second one is the monitoring agent which must then analyze,classify,and make a decision on the state of the link and finally transmit this information to the *** third one is the scheduler who must consider previous information to transfer user data,including fair distribution and reliable *** should be noted that each part of the proposedmodel requires the development of its *** this article,we are interested in the development of data transfer algorithms,including fairness distribution with the consideration of a stable link *** algorithms are based on the grouping of transmitted files and the iterative *** proposed algorithms showthe performances to obtain an approximate solution to the studied problem which is an NP-hard(Non-Polynomial solution)*** experimental results show that the best algorithm is the half-grouped minimum excluding(HME),with a percentage of 91.3%,an average deviation of 0.042,and an execution time of 0.001 s.

As the demand for reliable and accurate electricity metering escalates in the digital era, traditional systems increasingly need to improve due to their centralized nature, prone to inaccuracies, privacy breaches, and cybersecurity threats. This paper proposes a novel solution that harnesses the transformative power of Blockchain and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to address these critical challenges. By integrating the immutable ledger capabilities of blockchain with the real-time data acquisition prowess of IoT, we introduce a decentralized system that ensures the secure and transparent measurement and billing of electricity for domestic consumers. Adopting Hyperledger Fabric within our framework offers a robust, scalable architecture that supports secure transactions and enhances trust through digital identities for all participants. This system mitigates the vulnerabilities associated with centralized authorities and efficiently monitors and manages energy consumption with unprecedented precision. Through this approach, we aim to revolutionize the electricity metering infrastructure, providing a blueprint for future advancements in the energy sector.

This study investigates the resistance of the Home Assistant platform under different types of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, namely TCP SYN flood, UDP flood, and ICMP flood, in IPv4 and IPv6 network environments. With the increasing number of IoT devices, the security of smart home systems is becoming an issue of paramount importance. The study focuses on the impact of these attacks on the security and availability of the Home Assistant platform, testing different attack intervals to assess the resistance of the system. The results show differences in the performance and vulnerability of IPv4 and IPv6 networks to high-frequency attacks. The findings highlight the need for robust mitigation strategies to improve the security and reliability of smart home systems.

This research paper presents a study for identifying user anomalies in large datasets of web server requests. Using a cybersecurity company's network of web servers as a case study, we propose a technique for analyzing user activity in NGINX logs. The proposed method does not require a labeled dataset and is capable of efficiently identifying different user anomalies in large datasets with millions of daily requests. The results of the analysis provided a deeper understanding of user behavior when seeking updates through web requests and aided in interpreting the findings. Clustering the anomalies helped to produce typical clusters and further supported the interpretation of the results. This work provides valuable insights into user behavior in web server networks and highlights the importance of efficient anomaly detection techniques in large datasets. The findings have potential real-world applications in the field of cybersecurity, particularly in providing network security analysts with an automated and more objective approach to threat analysis. This study showcases the importance of automated methods for analyzing user activity in web server networks and provides a more objective and efficient approach to detecting user anomalies in large datasets. This approach contributes to the development of more effective and precise cybersecurity systems, ultimately improving the protection of network infrastructures from malicious attacks.

The paper is devoted to the problem of dead on arrival (DoA) sources of radiation of electromagnetic waves. It is proposed to use the antenna array to solve this problem, which contains logoperiodic antennas with vibrators. The solution to an integral equation was carried out to determine the electromagnetic field, which received by the antenna structure. When determining currents on the antenna, the method of collocation was used. To determine the DoA of the sought sources, it was proposed to use the technique, which consisted of two stages. At the first stage, the criterion of the maximum of the magnitudes of the amplitudes of signals at the outputs of the logoperiodic antennas with vibrators were used. It was found that the phase difference from the angle of the electromagnetic wave arrival and on frequency obeys practically linear laws. In the second stage, the direction-finding angle can be estimated for one of the angles of the electromagnetic wave. At the same time, an approximating dependence of the difference of DoA from the angle of the wave is used. The error of the resulting angle of the direction finding does not exceed 1°.

The aim of the work was to create an accessible alternative sustain pedal solution for playing the piano, from which people with lower limb disabilities can benefit the most. The work includes the design of human-computer interaction and its implementation for the iOS platform, which implements augmented reality for facial recognition as well as various communications between the application and the piano. The main communicative parts of the application implement MIDI network communication, Bluetooth Low Energy communication, and hosting a musical instrument from another AppStore application, which is integrated into our audio graph. The application is published in the AppStore and is available for free worldwide. We are currently in the phase of publishing an update that follows up on the feedback received.

This paper addresses practical experiences in the context of methodology in the field of algorithmization and programming, focusing on current challenges and effective approaches that support deeper understanding and the acquisition of practical skills by students, as well as their participation in project implementation. In the introduction, we present the importance of algorithmization and programming in the current educational context, including their key role in developing critical and algorithmic thinking and problem-solving skills. We then analyze various educational methods and tools, such as traditional lectures, practical exercises, project-based learning, collaborative education, the flipped classroom model, self-directed learning, and the use of custom-made visualization tools and engaging animated videos that were utilized in the creation of the e-course. The paper also evaluates the effectiveness of these approaches based on various research studies and empirical data. We discuss the challenges faced by educators, including motivational factors, differences in students' knowledge levels, and technical limitations. In the conclusion, we offer recommendations for optimizing the methodology of teaching algorithmization and programming, which include combining traditional and modern approaches with an emphasis on interactivity and individualized learning. Our findings suggest that such a comprehensive approach can significantly impact teaching, student motivation, and student outcomes in this field.

Introducing component-based programming to high school students can stimulate their interest in pursuing computer science studies at the university level. In this contribution, we explore the potential of using mobile app development, particularly using the A VFoundation framework, to make this complex topic of component-based programming more accessible and attractive. We describe our preliminary efforts in using this approach with high school students, focusing on the audio graph management and its integration with user interface. This method is currently being evaluated and we discuss its potential benefits and recommend its inclusion in computer science courses.

Blood pressure estimation is crucial for early detection and prevention of many cardiovascular diseases. This paper explores the potential of the relatively new transformer architecture for accomplishing this task in the domain of biological signal processing. Several preceding studies of blood pressure estimation solely for PPG signals have had success with CNN and LSTM neural networks. In this study two types of transformer variants are considered: the time series and the convolutional vision transformers. The results obtained from our research indicate that this type of approach may be unsuitable for the task. However, further research is needed to make a definitive claim, since only simple transformer type are considered. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Realtime algorithm configuration is concerned with the task of designing a dynamic algorithm configurator that observes sequentially arriving problem instances of an algorithmic problem class for which it selects suitable algorithm configurations (e.g., minimal runtime) of a specific target algorithm. The Contextual Preselection under the Plackett-Luce (CPPL) algorithm maintains a pool of configurations from which a set of algorithm configurations is selected that are run in parallel on the current problem instance. It uses the well-known UCB selection strategy from the bandit literature, while the pool of configurations is updated over time via a racing mechanism. In this paper, we investigate whether the performance of CPPL can be further improved by using different bandit-based selection strategies as well as a ranking-based strategy to update the candidate pool. Our experimental results show that replacing these components can indeed improve performance again significantly. © 2023 CEUR-WS. All rights reserved.
