The intraoperative diagnosis of brain tumors remains a clinical challenge despite recent technological advances. The current clinical practice differentiates non-surgical brain tumors from those preferably treated with cytoreductive surgery employing intraoperative frozen section diagnostics. A detailed molecular diagnosis required for this classification task within the timeframe of a routine neurosurgical procedure is currently unavailable. We have analyzed a clinical cohort of several brain tumor entities using Nanopore long-read sequencing on two Oxford Nanopore Technologies sequencing platforms (MinION, PromethION). Since currently available molecular cancer classifiers such as the DKFZ methylation profiling classifier cannot be readily adapted to real-time sequencing analysis, we implemented a novel algorithm (MethyLYZR) to predict the underlying cancer type. Publicly available Illumina Infinium array data were used to train the classifier to distinguish 91 brain tumor classes. For validation of classification accuracy, we conducted a comprehensive validation strategy. Both nanopore platforms could sequence more than 5,000 pre-selected CpG within less than 20 minutes for most of our samples. When combining an optimized library preparation protocol with the time used for sequencing the minimal number of CpGs needed for classification, we saw sample-to-answer times of less than 1 hour – in many cases within 45 minutes - from receiving a fresh biopsy to a robust cancer type prediction. Comparing actual and predicted diagnoses resulted in a favorable error rate, indicating potentially highly clinical validity. Our real-time based molecular diagnostic algorithm enables, in most cases, a reliable diagnostic call within the timeframe of a typical neuro-oncological surgery. The result of the application of the spectral methods for searching and analysis of the hidden periodicities in the properties of the vibration signals of the rotary machinery which allow to discover the spectral band of the vibration periodical non-stationarity, to determine the spectrum forms, to evaluate the power of their time variation. The typical peculiarities of the defects are established on this basis, the new diagnostic indicators are formed for their detection and typification.

Consider a curve Γ in a domain D in the plane R2. Thinking of D as a piece of paper, one can make a curved folding P in the Euclidean space R3. The singular set C of P as a space curve is called the crease of P and the initially given plane curve Γ is called the crease pattern of P. In this paper, we show that in general there are four distinct non-congruent curved foldings with a given pair consisting of a crease and crease pattern. Reinforcement learning (RL) has gained prominence in healthcare due to its ability to optimize treatment strategies without relying on predefined mathematical models. However, existing approaches face critical challenges: (1) the optimality of learned strategies is assessed without considering treatment risks, potentially leading to unsafe recommendations;(2) distribution shift issues cause learned strategies to diverge from physician decisions;and (3) past observational data and treatment history are often overlooked, leading to suboptimal state representations. To address these limitations, we propose a Dynamic Treatment Strategy Generation Model that integrates Dead Ends with an Offline Supervised Actor-Critic approach (DOSAC-DTR). Our model incorporates Dead Ends into the Actor-Critic framework to evaluate risks associated with recommended treatments. Additionally, physician oversight is embedded to mitigate distribution shift and align the learned strategy with expert decisions while maximizing expected outcomes. To enhance state representation, we employ an LSTM-based encoder-decoder model to capture essential patient history, ensuring robust decision-making. Experimental results on real-world datasets (MIMIC-III) demonstrate that DOSAC-DTR significantly reduces mortality rates (Sepsis: 3.51%, Ventilation: 13.74%) and improves treatment alignment with physicians (Jaccard similarity: 0.362, 0.126) compared to baseline models. These findings underscore the potential of reinforcement learning in personalized healthcare, improving both treatment efficacy and patient safety. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

We study the decay J/ψ→π+π−π0 within the framework of the Khuri-Treiman equations. We find that the BESIII experimental dipion mass distribution in the ρ(770)-region is well reproduced with a once-subtracted P-wave amplitude. Furthermore, we show that F-wave contributions to the amplitude improve the description of the data in the ππ mass region around 1.5 GeV. We also present predictions for the J/ψ→π0γ* transition form factor.

Communication security has taken vital role with the advancement in digital communication. The universal use of internet for communication has increased the attacks to users. The security of information is the present issue related to privacy and safety during storage and communication. This paper deals with the proposition of a multilayered secure channel to transfer sensitive data/video over an unreliable network. The secret video is first encrypted using the NOLSB algorithm. The cipher video produced is hidden in a video file with more size. This video file is in turn encrypted following the (m,k) firm technique to maximize resource utilization and to optimize the bandwidth. Then video shares are sent over many channels in the network in order to assure security. This method guarantee that, even if some shares got lost over network, video files could be recovered at the end receiver without need to resend the video file by the sender.

In industrial production facilities, technical Energy Management Systems are used to measure, monitor and display energy consumption related information. The measurements take place at the field device level of the automation pyramid. The measured values are recorded and processed at the control level. The functionalities to monitor and display energy data are located at the MES level of the automation pyramid. So the energy data from all PLCs has to be aggregated, structured and provided for higher level systems. This contribution introduces a concept for an Energy Data Aggregation Layer, which provides the functionality described above. For the implementation of this Energy Data Aggregation Layer, a combination of AutomationML and OPC UA is used.

In the second, fourth and fifth authors' previous work, a duality on generic real analytic cuspidal edges in the Euclidean 3-space R3 preserving their singular set images and first fundamental forms, was given. In this paper, we show that this duality extends to generalized cuspidal edges in R3, including cuspidal cross caps, and 5/2-cuspidal edges. When the singular set image has no symmetries and does not lie in a plane, the dual generalized cuspidal edge is not congruent to the original one. We construct concrete examples of these duals. Phishing websites are malicious sites which impersonate as legitimate web pages and they aim to reveal users important information such as user id, password, and credit card information. Detection of these phishing sites is a very challenging problem because phishing is mainly a semantics-based attack, which especially abuses human vulnerabilities, however not network or system vulnerabilities. As a software detection scheme, two main approaches are widely used: blacklists/whitelists and machine learning approaches. Machine learning solutions are able to detect zero-hour phishing attacks and they have superior adaption for new types of phishing attacks, therefore they are mainly preferred. To use this type of solution features of input must be selected carefully. The whole performance of the solution depends on these features. Therefore, in this paper, it is aimed to list and identify the important features for machine learning-based detection of phishing websites. © 2017 IEEE.
