This paper describes how an IoT -based health monitoring system was conceived and built (IoT). With the proliferation of new technologies, doctors nowadays are constantly on the lookout for cutting-edge electronic tools that will make it simpler to detect abnormalities in the human body. The Internet of Things makes it possible to create cutting-edge, non-intrusive healthcare assistance systems. In this article, we introduce the Comprehensive Health Monitoring System, or CHMS. Normal people can't afford to buy separate devices or make frequent trips to hospitals. Our CHMS will monitor a patient's vitals, including temperature, heart rate, and oxygen saturation (OS), and relay that information to a portable device. To make sense of the information gathered by the physical layer's sensors, the logical layer must analyses it. The application layer then makes judgments based on the processed data from the logical layer. The primary goal is to reduce costs for average consumers. Patients will have simple access to individual healthcare, in addition to financial sustainability. This study introduces an IoT -based system that would streamline the operation of a complex medical gadget while reducing its associated cost, allowing its users to do so from the comfort of home. The public's adoption of these gadgets as aids in a given setting might have significant effects on their own lives.

In this work we compare the prospect of detecting virus-like particles using single and multiple arrays of rotationally symmetric array of silicon nanowires. Taking the dimension and geometry of the Coronavirus as a reference, resonant wavelength shift and quality factor change of the whispering gallery mode of the nanowire array in the presence of one and two viruses are evaluated employing finite difference time domain analysis technique. For a single coronavirus having protein spike, the maximum shift of resonant wavelength is found to be about 5 nm, whereas for two viruses the shift can be as high as 9 nm. However, interestingly, for two viruses the shift appear to change periodically depending on relative location of the virus particles. As far as multiple arrays for virus detection is concerned, the quality factor of the most strongly confined whispering gallery mode appears to have been reduced by 50% or more because of mode-leakage resulting from coupling between the nanowire arrays. Such weaker confinement of the optical field though may have a diminishing effect on the signal to noise ratio during practical measurements, the detection sensitivity appears to have improved significantly because of the sustenance of whispering gallery resonant modes in the adjacent nanowire arrays. © 2021 IEEE.

Sleep is the natural state of relaxation for human being. Sleep quality is an essential yet frequently neglected aspect of sleep in general. Sleep quality is essential because it allows the body to restore itself and prepare for the next day. The standard method for evaluating sleep quality was subjective evaluation. Actigraphy devices, which can measure the sleep cycle, are now widely available. This study developed a method using Fuzzy Logic and an actigraphy device to measure and classify sleep quality. The fuzzy logic method was developed in several stages, which are determining the sleep quality measurement parameters, constructing the fuzzy set for each input variable, and developing the fuzzy rules. To evaluate the proposed fuzzy model, five individuals were invited to participate in the experiment and required to complete the PSQI subjective sleep questionnaire. The evaluation result shows that our proposed Fuzzy model achieves lower error compared to the existing method.

In this study, we investigated the temperature-dependent photoluminescence characteristics of green InGaN/GaN multiple quantum wells (MQWs) with InGaN/GaN pre-wells and InGaN pre-layers, and the electroluminescence properties of the corresponding mini-LEDs were fabricated and studied. According to the fitting results of the temperature-dependent photoluminescence spectra obtained by the Vaishini and Arrhenius models, the S-shaped temperature-dependent peak energies of green InGaN/GaN MQWs grown on pre-wells and pre-layers indicated that these peaks originated from the localized state, and better crystal quality could be found in the MQWs with pre-layers. Moreover, we compared the electroluminescence properties of green mini-LEDs. These results demonstrate the advantages of growing green MQWs with an InGaN prelayer. © 1980-2012 IEEE.

Planetary exploration requires traversal in environments with rugged terrains. In addition, Mars rovers and other planetary exploration robots often carry sensitive scientific experiments and components onboard, which must be protected from mechanical harm. This paper deals with an active suspension system focused on chassis stabilisation and an efficient traversal method while encountering unavoidable obstacles. Soft Actor-Critic (SAC) was applied along with Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control to stabilise the chassis and traverse large obstacles at low speeds. The model uses the rover’s distance from surrounding obstacles, the height of the obstacle, and the chassis’ orientation to actuate the control links of the suspension accurately. Simulations carried out in the Gazebo environment are used to validate the proposed active system. © 2024, CC BY.

Classification models can be learned from complicated multivariate temporal data and this is a topic we investigate in electronic health record systems. The difficulty is to come up with a collection of attributes that accurately reflect the data’s temporal nature. Using temporal abstractions and pattern mining, we extract the classification features from the data. There are frequently a lot of temporal patterns that aren’t related to the classification job that are returned by temporal pattern mining.

The significance of communication networks is growing in tandem with the proliferation of communication technologies. Present methods for maintaining 5G Wireless Sensor Networks are still restricted to routine maintenance and post-maintenance tasks. They lack a comprehensive function for monitoring the network's status, are unable to assess the network's health, and are difficult to maintain before the 5G-based WSNs seriously degrade. 5G Wireless Sensor Network faults can only be resolved by highly trained technicians due to low maintenance efficiency. As a result, errors cannot be detected or located promptly or accurately, leading to forced repairs that incur the expense of new network cables. First, the article lays forth the basics of network fault analysis. Then, it uses deep learning to simulate communication network problem diagnosis. Lastly, the experimental section compares various methodologies and analyses the findings of fault location. The results of the simulation demonstrate that the suggested approach mitigates the created model's flaws to a certain degree while simultaneously enhancing the network fault detection model's accuracy, universality, and robustness. A novel approach to autonomous placement, the Fault Node Recovery Protocol is described in this study. It is implemented in 5G mobile communications to detect faulty data according to wireless sensor network standards, and it is made to fix the problems with conventional techniques, such poor positioning precision and lengthy running time. The automated localization model for 5G mobile communication fault data, constructed using the suggested FNRP approach, is presented in this work. By comparing it to the standard Adhoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing protocol, we can see how well the suggested system performs. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a simulation study of a highly sensitive ultraviolet (UV) photodetector designed for next-generation Internet of Things (IoT) applications, requiring real-time monitoring and energy-efficient performance. The study, conducted at room temperature, investigates the photodetection properties and optoelectronic characteristics of an optimized heterojunction based on p +- bilayer graphene (p + -BLG) and n – -zinc oxide (n – -ZnO) nanowires (NWs). The design and analysis are performed using Silvaco Devedit and Atlas TCAD software, focusing on the UV spectral region. The heterojunction of p + -BLG/n – -ZnO NWs exhibits a high rectification ratio of 1.8×10 4 at ±1 V, a low zero-bias dark current density of 1.2 μA/cm 2 , and an impressive J light /J dark ratio of 4.6×10 4 . The photodetector demonstrates rapid response with a photoswitching time of 0.32 ns and a 3-dB cut-off frequency of 1.1 GHz at -0.5 V bias. Performance metrics include a peak quantum efficiency of 42%, a peak photocurrent responsivity of 0.11 A/W, a peak specific detectivity of 1.52×10⁹ Jones, and a minimum noise equivalent power of 1.91×10 –14 W/Hz 1/2 at –1.0 V, surpassing previously reported results. These characteristics, combined with its low power consumption and high sensitivity, make the proposed photodetector highly suitable for next-generation IoT-based UV sensing applications requiring real-time monitoring and energy-efficient performance.

This study proposes a unique sensor plus machine learning system designed to enhance patient care and targeted medicine administration, with a specific focus on controlling Cryptococcosis, in the search for more precise and proactive healthcare solutions. This research had contributed to the conceptualization, design and implementation of system which integrates constant sensor data monitoring and machine learning algorithms to anticipate and prepare for any health problems. Over the course of a day, Support Vector Machines (SVM), Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), and Random Forest (RF) were used to analyse sensor data from 10 patients with Cryptococcosis. The sensor data gathered from these people included information on their body temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rate, blood sugar levels, and ECG measurements. The models executed flawlessly, achieving F1 scores for accuracy, recall, and precision. SVM won with a precision score of 97.6%, followed by ANN with a score of 95.3% and RF with a score of 92.1%. The models' capacity to get rid of misclassifications and provide precise predictions needed for right away action was demonstrated by the confusion matrices that went along with them. This discovery, which might revolutionise how patients are treated for difficult-to-treat illnesses like cryptococcosis, is an encouraging first step in the direction of proactive healthcare management. The sensor and machine learning system offers a patient-centered, data-driven approach that keeps up with the changing landscape of healthcare.
