In this paper, a novel design of half adder (HA) is proposed using low power and area-efficient XOR and AND gates. Multipliers are essential component mostly used arithmetic unit. Using novel HA, novel design of multiplier and its area utilization is discussed along with conventional design. The performance of proposed circuit is analyzed using Cadence Virtuoso on 90-nm Generic Process Design Kit (gpdk) Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology at 1 V supply voltage (Vdd) at maximum of 50 GHz frequency. Compact high-performance systems require consolidated high-speed multipliers. The simulated result indicates that the proposed multiplier utilizes 33.79% lower area as compared to conventional method. A low power 2 bit multiplier based on the novel full swing half adder (HA) also shows lower power consumption by 12.42% over conventional multiplier. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Modern technology is the best thing to be used in every commercial sector. The devices are well equipped to understand the problems of the users. The offices are now been maintained by technology the devices for daily monitoring even the electrical appliances are been monitored and maintained by technology. In previous times the best method of this work is to make it via cloud computing, but now as technology has evolved and evolved new adding devices are making system malfunction. The fault of cloud computing needs to be identified, So the best method is to automate the office with the introduction of IoT. it is a platform equipped with all the facilities for monitoring and maintaining the devices inside the office, even the working capacity of employees is also measured via this method. The study is showing the effectiveness of the IoT to identify the faults of cloud computing related to maintaining the working method of the office. The data collected for this study is secondary data like articles, books, journals and many more. Then gathered data is analyzed by qualitative data analysis. The results are quite positive about the use of it to automate the office and its working procedure. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, age estimation and gender classification have been focal points in the field of pattern recognition and computer vision. This paper introduces an automated approach for predicting age and gender by extracting features from human facial images. In contrast to conventional methods that operate on unfiltered facial images, our study demonstrates significant improvements in these tasks through the use of deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs). The employed feedforward neural network method enhances robustness for highly variable unconstrained recognition tasks, specifically targeting gender identification and age group estimation. The research methodology involves the analysis and validation of gender prediction and age estimation on two benchmark datasets: the Essex face dataset and the Adience benchmark dataset. Results indicate a substantial performance enhancement, showcasing the proposed approach's efficiency and state-of-the-art performance in both age and gender detection. The model achieves remarkable accuracy, positioning it as a notable advancement in the realm of age and gender prediction using deep learning techniques.

Over the course of the past ten years, sentiment analysis has seen widespread use across a variety of fields, including education, social networks, and business. The application of sentiment analysis is developing but remains tough, in particular in the field of education, where dealing with and processing students’ thoughts is a complicated undertaking due to the nature of the language used by students and the huge volume of information. The state of the use of sentiment analysis in this field is revealed through multiple literature evaluations, each of which examines the topic from a unique vantage point and within a unique set of circumstances. However, the existing body of research does not include a review that systematically classifies the research and results of applying natural language processing (NLP), deep learning (DL), and machine learning (ML) solutions for sentiment analysis in the education domain. This is a significant gap in the field. The Internet is one of the most common mediums for sharing and exchanging thoughts, feedback, or information regarding specific subjects. Most of the time, the feedback is provided in the form of number ratings and text. Numerical ratings can be processed with ease, but there is a vast amount of unstructured textual data present on the internet. Currently, we are working on a project in which a client can propose his idea on our website and take opinions in the form of textual review. This helps him to take specific opinions from reviewers, which will be helpful in making a decision that is more appropriate. Within the scope of this paper, we analysed and compared a variety of techniques that are utilised during the processing of text data. We were able to identify issues and scope within the textual feedback analysis with the assistance of the various methodologies.

This paper presents the 3D prism-shaped circularly polarised MIMO Diversity Antenna with 360° angular coverage. The proposed antenna has six elements, and it covers the X-band with impedance matching from 8.0 to 11.8 GHz (38.4%), 3 dB axial ratio from 8.05 to 10.6 GHz (27.34%). A metallic copper cylinder is placed inside the prism to improve the isolation and axial ratio. All the antennas are highly isolated, with isolation is more diminutive than −20.5 dB, except the adjacent element to the edge of the prism, for which it is −14.7 dB. The Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC) is less than 0.035. The proposed antenna structure shows the pattern or angle diversity in the whole 360° angle with polarisation diversity. © 2021 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

This paper investigates an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) aided millimeter-wave integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system. Specifically, based on the passive beam scanning in the downlink, the IRS finds the optimal beam for reflecting the signals from the base station to a communication user. Meanwhile, the IRS estimates the angle of a nearby target based on its echo signal received by the sensing elements mounted on the IRS (i.e., semi-passive IRS). We propose an ISAC protocol for achieving the above objective via simultaneous (beam) training and sensing (STAS). Then, we derive the achievable rate of the communication user and the Cramer-Rao bound (CRB) of the angle estimation for the sensing target in closed-form. The achievable rate and CRB exhibit different performance against the duration of beam scanning. Specifically, the average achievable rate initially rises and subsequently declines, while the CRB monotonically decreases. Consequently, the duration of beam scanning should be carefully selected to balance communication and sensing performance. Simulation results have verified our analytical findings and shown that, thanks to the efficient use of downlink beam scanning signal for simultaneous communication and target sensing, the STAS protocol outperforms the benchmark protocol with orthogonal beam training and sensing. © 2023 IEEE.

This work investigates cyber attacks targeting cyber-physical systems in the framework of discrete event systems. From intruders’ perspective, we propose a concept called k-step attackability to explore attack scenarios where intruders are constrained by a limited number of attack operations. In particular, we focus on a class of sensor attacks where sensor readings can be replaced, deleted, and inserted during transmission. We examine k-step attackability under such attacks and address its verification problem by proposing a structure termed an attack recognizer. It evaluates whether an arbitrary strategy generated by an attack structure can compromise a system within a certain number of attacks. Furthermore, we extend this work to general attack scenarios and provide a method to identify desired attack strategies. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Due to the increasing electricity demand, distributed generation (DG) had been integrated into the power system. Due to the incorporation of DG with the utility grid, the stability of the system subjected to any disturbances is affected severely, including the degradation of power quality. Among other DG, integration of large-scale PV to the grid causes more stability problems due to the lowering of the overall inertia of the system. Hence, an investigation is needed for any PV-connected system to address different stability issues when subjected to any fault. This paper presents a rigorous study on the IEEE 14 bus test system to show the impact of PV integration on system parameters like voltage profile, fault current, rotor angle, frequency and THD value. For a better understanding of the variations of these parameters, short circuit study, transient analysis and harmonic analysis have been carried out on the test system. At the end of this paper, some recommendations have been proposed for a PV integrated system. For modeling and simulation purposes, ETAP software has been used. © 2021 IEEE.

The present work consists of the elaboration of models for facial recognition of individuals with a mask and to present suggestions of different methodologies that can be applied to adapt existing models. There is a need to evaluate the accuracy of these architectures in real scenarios, especially when it comes to applications that help prevent COVID-19. In this work convolutional neural network is applied to facial recognition. In addition, the ability of transfer learning to assist in the creation of new models will be evaluated. So, the steps include pre-processing of the chosen database, Model development, Training of models with hyperparameter variation, and Validation of models. In a problem of deep convolutional networks with multiclasses, the obtained results were able to classify the vast majority of images and be consistent with the current state of the art. © 2023 IEEE.
