Future telecommunication networks are expected to deliver exponential performance increases across all domains and with the increased prevalence of real-time IoT devices, greater emphasis is placed on reducing the latency of network links. Traditionally, wireless networking requirements have been fulfilled primarily through use of the RF spectrum, which is rapidly approaching saturation and will eventually very likely become insufficient to meet all future network demands. The optical spectrum however offers enormous amounts of unrestricted and unallocated bandwidth. Efficient high-modulation indoor LED lighting fixtures could potentially integrate with and complement the RF spectrum for short to medium distance low latency applications. The Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is a ubiquitous operation in many communication network topologies. Typically the FFT is computed via serial methods which are optimised for low resource usage, however these architectures fall short of the Ultra Low Latency (ULL) requirements for optical wireless communication. Fully parallel FFT computations can achieve nanosecond latency and tens of gigasamples of throughput, far surpassing serial methods. However, their prohibitively high resource utilisation has limited their practical use. In this work, we introduce a hardware optimised, fully parallel architecture for optical wireless communication which leverages hermitian symmetry characteristics within real-valued optical signals and properties of the discrete DFT to reduce the footprint of a fully parallel FFT on an FPGA. The final architecture is implemented on an AMD RFSoC $2 \times 2$ and requires only 3 clock cycles to compute a 256 -point real-valued FFT, a 290 fold reduction compared to an equivalent serial model. The design was tested at 122.88 MHz, resulting in a 24 nanosecond latency, demonstrating its potential for use in optical wireless communication and other high-performance 5G+ networks.

A trans-thoracic interpretation of the electrical activity of the heart throughout time collected and externally recorded by skin electrodes is electrocardiograph. An electrocardiographic device creates this recording, and it does not involve any invasive procedures. This research focuses on the extraction of fetal ECG from the maternal ECG using adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) and undecimated wavelet transform (UWT), which combines the desirable qualities of ANFIS and UWT. The objective of this paper is to improve the accuracy of fetal ECG analysis. In a lot of applications, the network needs to imitate non-linear and time-varying functions, which means that the functions could change based on the incoming signal and other parameter alterations. This is necessary since non-linear functions are more complex than linear functions. In situations like these, a greater number of signals may be reproduced at random, and the approaches that are used were evaluated for their ability to accurately determine the fetal ECG as well as for their potential use in other diagnostic applications. This hybrid network was able to quickly tackle the difficult problem, making it superior to conventional adaptive approaches. © 2022 IEEE.

The prime aim of this work is to investigate the performance of ZnO-based flexible Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) prepared using the hot compress method by analyzing a few key photovoltaic parameters. Photoelectrodes of the cell has been compressed at various temperature (room temperature-110°C) as a postdeposition treatment to improve the surface quality as well as the overall performance. The maximum efficiency has been achieved for the cell under illumination was 2.63 % which has been prepared using 130 MPa compression at 70°c. The electrical conduction mechanisms of the prepared cell under dark conditions were studied at low biasing voltages. The values of the series resistance, shunt resistance, ideality factors, and barrier heights were calculated from the measured dark current-voltage (I-V) data. The series and shunt resistance under dark and illumination conditions exhibit different values but follow the same trend. The photovoltaic performance data is competent with the series and shunt resistance data under dark and illuminated conditions. © 2022 IEEE.

The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics technologies are bringing drastic changes to society and industry in these recent years. The impressive progress in facilitating smart manufacturing in this era of Industry 4.0 has made our lives much more convenient than ever before. Despite the greater reliability and stability of the robotic system, there are several challenges to overcome such as the restrictions of scenes, obstacles, and hardware specifications. Since a high precision positioning algorithm is of paramount importance in devising a mobile robot, the research in developing simultaneous localization and mapping has been garnered immerse attention especially from domains of the computer vision and autonomous robots. In this paper, a novel method is presented to significantly enhance the positioning precision of indoor unmanned guided vehicles. The approach involves several steps, including setting up hardware configurations and collecting relevant data by installing necessary devices and system packages within the robot operating system (ROS). Trilateration is employed to determine the relative position of the mobile robot using distance measurements. Coordinate transformation is then conducted to convert the collected input data of relative distances and orientations. Trajectory paths are obtained, and occupancy maps are constructed to estimate the resulting trajectory and generate a 2D grid map. Indoor localization and mapping are achieved using three drawstring displacement sensors along with orientation information from an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). The proposed method is extensively evaluated through experimentation on predefined navigation paths, and its performance is compared to state-of-the-art methods such as RealSense T265, Hector SLAM, and wheel odometry. The results show that the proposed method exhibits compelling performance in both mean error and occupancy map construction. Ultimately, the findings reported herein

In the context of 5G wireless networks, this paper addresses a crucial concern—data loss in Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) embedded within Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) channels, a prevalent challenge in modern wireless communication systems. Despite the integration of ADCs in MIMO configurations to mitigate this issue, their implementation introduces significant complexities. In response to this, the paper introduces an innovative and efficient approach aimed at enhancing channel estimation in 5G MIMO systems. The proposed methodology relies on a heuristic-based optimization technique within a channel prediction framework. The framework uses feedback information collected through a Cascade Fusion Serial Network (CFSN) to analyse the receiver-side error ratio and estimate the channel coefficients of MIMO systems at the transmitter. An attention mechanism is incorporated into the model design through the use of a CNN-GRU and a Multi-Scaled Stacked Auto encoder. Parameters of Attention CNN-GRU, Stacked Auto encoder, and CFSN are refined using the Whale Optimisation method. The optimization objective is to minimize key metrics, including RMSE, BER, and MSE associated with the estimated channel. Experimental evaluations underscore the efficacy of the proposed MIMO model in the context of 5G networks. The results demonstrate improved convergence rates, heightened prediction performance, and reduced computational costs compared to existing methods. This research contributes valuable insights into addressing data loss challenges specific to 5G MIMO systems, providing a pioneering solution that integrates heuristic optimization, advanced neural network architectures, and nature-inspired algorithms for parameter tuning. © 2024, The Authors. Water is the topmost priority for all human and industry needs in the universe. This proposed work creates awareness about the conservation of water bodies. Here, a garbage collector is designed to clean the lake and river automatically. The client can supervise the boat from any remote place. The developed model has a live camera that uses image processing technology for detecting the garbage, and the distance between the boat and the garbage is calculated, and the cleaning of plastic and other spills will happen. The values of pH and temperature are continuously monitored and the results are displayed on the web page using IoT. The proposed prototype has been experimented with in a small swimming pool. The proposed watercraft model is made up of heavy-duty material. The movement of the model is controlled using wireless Bluetooth communication from a smartphone application. The exact values of pH and temperature are displayed on the smartphone via an application. The mobile application has switches and can be used to control the boat.

Spoken dialect identification (DID) is a challenging task due to high similarities between the classes. This becomes further complicated when DID needs to be performed in a multi-lingual environment, especially when languages are from same language-family, as the scope for confusion is significantly high. In this paper, we propose multiple techniques to address this issue. These techniques motivate the DID system to respect the parent-child relationship between the languages and their dialects by performing bi-level classification of speech. Specifically, in our first approach, we train the language identification (LID) and DID models independently and then combine them together such that the output of LID model selects the DID model, which in turn decides the dialect. However, such independent training does not allow the model to learn the relations/similarities between dialects of different languages. To overcome this limitation, we propose to train an end-to-end DID model which is trained using dialects of all languages in the dataset. While such end-to-end training allows the model to learn inter-dialect similarities in a better way, it does not explicitly prevent a dialect from being misclassified into a dialect of a different language. To address this limitation, we propose a novel hierarchical loss, which motivates the model to maintain the parent-child relationship between language and dialects. Specifically, with the help of an auxiliary language classifier and a primary dialect classifier, the hierarchical loss penalizes the model heavily whenever parent-child relationship is not maintained, i.e., when predicted dialect does not belong to the predicted language. Experiments conducted on a set of closely related Indian languages shows that hierarchical loss based training leads to improvement in the performance.

Nowadays, the fixed spectrum assignment policy restricts the availability of radio spectrum resources, hindering the growth of wireless applications, leading to spectrum scarcity, inefficiencies, and limitations on innovation. This is utilized by constraining full potential of wireless technologies and their associated benefits. However, the sensing system lacks in High computational complexity and energy consumption in spectrum sensing that leads to delays and inefficiencies in cognitive radio networks, limiting real-time adaptability and hindering seamless communication, which can compromise network performance and reliability. To overcome these drawbacks, a classification method is proposed using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Based on The Cognitive Radio Networks with Cooperative Spectrum Sensing (OFDM based on CRN-CSS). Initially data is collected from RadioML2016 dataset, then the preprocessing is performed by the scarred convolution, random demodulator, random filtering and then compressive multiplexer. Then the features are selected using optimization method Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). Finally, the classification is performed using OFDM based on CRN-CSS whereas it enhances the adaptability to dynamic spectrum environments. The results prove that the model show better performance in terms of accuracy, precision and F1 score when compared to previous existing method of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO).
