Two-dimensional (2D) material-based photodetectors are promising due to their unique structures and great optoelectronic properties. In this study, we synthesized advanced 2D materials by combining 1D ZnO materials for the high performance photodetection. Initially, 2D materials such as Molybdenum diselenide (MoSe2) and Tungsten diselenide (WSe2) nanosheets were synthesized using liquid exfoliation method, subsequently added in the ZnO nanorods hydrothermal growth. Interestingly, there was perceptible modification in structural and optical properties were observed when the combine different 2D materials with ZnO materials. In particular, the MoSe2-WSe2-ZNRs combination exhibits excellent photo response of 23,000 compared with ZNRs (240). The present research work is promising approach towards to the synthesis of hybrid electronic materials for advanced photodetector device fabrications. We also extended to use these devices for real-time photo-sensing and applied in IoT applications. © 2024 SPIE.

Niobium diselenide (NbSe2) has become an attractive material due to its extraordinary physical properties of superconducting transition and doping of NbSe2 with other material could boost the device performance. In this work, we have synthesized NbSe2-ZNRs hybrid materials that exhibit excellent photoresponse of 11,000 compared with ZnO nanorods (128). Notably, the photoresponsivity reaches up to 60mA/W. The present research work based on NbSe2-ZNRs is promising approach towards to the synthesis of hybrid optical materials for advanced photodetector device fabrications. © 2024 IEEE.

The proposed research introduces an approach to design an Octagonal chipless RFID tag to achieve tag identification to encode the information. These tags work by reflecting a unique electromagnetic signal when it is read by an RFID reader. The unique characteristics of the tag's structure or material cause modulation or reflection of the radio waves, which can be decoded by the reader to retrieve stored information. In this research, we propose an innovative approach for designing chipless RFID tags using electromagnetic resonators arranged in a 2x2 matrix configuration. While the design can be adapted to any nxn matrix, we specifically focus on the 2x2 arrangement in this study. The resonators are strategically positioned to achieve optimal performance, considering read range, robustness, and scalability factors. This paper provides a comprehensive review of Chipless RFID technology, covering its working principles, encoding techniques, applications, advantages, and challenges. © 2024 IEEE.

A biometric identifier, in contrast to other identifiers used for authentication, is a quantitative evaluation of an individual's physical attributes that is successfully used to confirm or validate the identification. Because of its remarkable and consistent texture variation, iris recognition is thought to be the most dependable biometric recognition. Concerns about security, authentication, and identification are growing in importance across all domains as technology advances daily. High-security applications use these unique patterns for iris recognition. To increase the security of biometric applications without jeopardizing individual privacy, this research suggests a novel FL technique for privacy-preserving iris detection. Traditional biometric systems rely on centralised data storage and processing, which threatens data security and misuse. Federated Learning: decentralized model training that allows multiple federated clients (like mobile devices or edge servers) to collaboratively train a global model without sharing their raw iris data. We explore how this architecture can be applied to iris detection systems, maintaining accuracy while mitigating privacy risks. Our method ensures that iris features are learned locally on individual devices, and only encrypted model updates are shared with the central server. To strengthen privacy, we incorporate differential privacy and secure aggregation techniques to prevent data leakage during model training. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework in maintaining high detection accuracy, low communication overhead, and robust privacy guarantees. © 2024 IEEE.

This chapter illustrates a forest monitoring system solution by demonstrating a wireless sensor network solution that is based on the ZigBee communications protocol. The purpose of this study is to improve upon the inadequacy of the current monitoring methods and to introduce the technology of wireless sensor networks. To accomplish the goal of this research, the hardware design of sensor network nodes and network protocols that are suitable for forest monitoring will be provided. This is accomplished by doing an in-depth investigation of three aspects of network topology: energy efficiency, stability, and reliability. The system that was built is capable of carrying out efficient monitoring of the forest environment. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a review of the position-sensitive detector(PSD) sensor, covering different types of PSD and recent works related to this field. Furthermore, it explains the theoretical concepts and provides information about its structure and principles of operation. Moreover, it includes the main information about the available commercial PSDs from different companies, along with a comparison between the common modules. The PSD features include high position resolution, fast response, and a wide dynamic range. These features make it suitable for various fields and applications, such as imaging, spectrometry, spectroscopy and others.

Purpose: This manuscript proposes an IoT-based E-healthcare monitoring method for constantly monitoring the important signs of patient and diagnoses biological and behavioral changes through the technologies of smart healthcare. Method: Patient health monitoring system is used to deep learning techniques for the performance of patient categorization. Here, Hybrid whale and grey wolf optimization approach (Hyb-WGWO) is proposed to the selection of cluster head with various internet of things (IoTs) devices. These devices are utilized to sense the healthcare data into clusters form. In this, the cluster head is chosen by using the proposed Hyb-WGWO approach. Data in the cloud server are transmitted to the cluster head. Then deep ensemble multitask classification (DEMC) model is proposed for identifying patient disease conditions, such as low, normal, abnormal and critical. Results: The experimental outcomes of the proposed Hyb-WGWO-DEMC approach show 25.98% and 31.86% improved accuracy, 28.08%, 26.87% better specificity than the existing methods, such as Elliptic Decryption Algorithm in Elman Neural Network (EDA-ENN) and Grasshopper Optimization and Particle Swarm Optimization with cryptographic encryption (GOPSO-CE) respectively. Conclusion: IoT-based E-healthcare monitoring method achieves higher accuracy and lower error rate through the technologies of smart healthcare. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to The Brazilian Society of Biomedical engineering.

The use of cloud computing has become a reliable information technology solution over the past decade by providing numerous services and resources on a pay-as-you-use basis and evolving from concept to reality. Despite increasing demand and popularity, the adoption of the cloud is hindered mainly by security concerns. Successful cloud adoption and uncomplicated operation are possible if users, intermediaries, and service providers act reliably according to regulations by assuring shared responsibility policy. The biggest challenge in the audit and assurance of cloud computing is the lack of a de facto approach to meet an enterprise’s requirements. The primary focus is on the challenges and effectiveness of audit and assurance by conducting an exploratory study on industry best practices, auditing standards, required certifications, and regulatory compliance frameworks like GDPR, Sarbanes–Oxley, ENISA, ISO 27001, NIST, EU-SEC, OWASP, BSI C5, CIS, ANSSI, HIPAA, CCM, CSA STAR, PCI DSS, COBIT, and SOC in a cloud environment and classifying on basis of applicability. In this research paper, we provide general guidelines on auditing standards by referring to threads and vulnerabilities analyzed and suggesting a unified approach toward audit considerations in cloud computing environments. © The Institution of Engineers (India) 2024.

Audio-Visual Speech Enhancement (AVSE) has the vision to enhance speech quality and requite intelligibility by using both audio and video inputs, which is quite useful in noisy conditions. This approach acknowledges the fact that modalities such as lip movement may be equally informative of the auditory signals as the actual sound in cases where audio signals are distorted. In this research, an innovation approach to the AVSE is presented, which involves several state-of-the-art techniques. The data preprocessing step uses Z-score Min-Max Normalization to normalize the input data to help enhance the feature extraction process. Differentiable adaptive short-time Fourier transform (DA-STFT) is employed as the method of audio feature extraction that provides key temporal information. In the feature extraction process, a local directional structural pattern (LDSP) is utilized for the extraction of visual features since it examines the moving patterns on the face effectively. The fusion of data is done using a quadruplet depth-wise separable fusion convolutional neural network (QDSFCNN), which enhances the amalgamation of the audio and visual cues. Classification is done using an attention-based sparse graph convolutional neural network, known as ASGCNN, since the focus is on the relevant stipulations. Finally, to achieve the highest performance level, the fire hawk optimizer (FHO) is used for tuning parameters in the presented model. This combined approach presents advanced developments in AVSE, which provide improved speech quality in difficult conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

The growth of music streaming market is expected to be boosted by the rising use of smart devices and the streaming platforms in the forecast period. Music recommendation systems for groups have been intensively studied as the application scenario becomes more dynamic, where different kinds of group formulations lead to different levels of similarity in music tastes. This paper proposes a music recommendation framework to generate a Top-N list in high-similar, high-dissimilar, and regular groups. Additionally, we investigate the performance of the recommendation system in a wide range of aspects, including precision, ranking quality, and novelty. Based on the listening frequency of each user and for each track, implicit feedback is also derived from the track popularity. To prevent popularity bias, we combine track popularity and group popularity into latent factor models to improve the performance of the recommendation algorithm. As a result of our evaluation, we found that the proposed methods provided excellent recommendations regarding accuracy, diversity, and novelty. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2023.
