In the paper the Cardinality Constrained Knapsack Problem is considered. It is a variant of the Continuous Knapsack Problem in which no more than a specified number of variables are allowed to have positive values. This problem arises when a limited resource is allocated among competing activities, and an upper bound is imposed on the number of activities that can be selected in a solution. The Cardinality Constrained Knapsack Problem is NP-hard. We analyze the structural properties of its optimal solutions and propose procedure allowing to reduce the size of the original problem.

This paper is an exploratory study on architects' attitudes towards risk and its influences on the architectural decision-making process. A classification of architects' attitude to risk-taking has been developed on the basis of Fowler's Technical Debt Quadrants. The core proposition of the paper is that the well-established concept of `risk appetite' can be equally well applied to characterise and classify architects' attitudes towards risk. This enables the aspects of the decision-making process that are influenced by architects' attitudes towards risks to be identified, and reveals what these influences are. It has been shown that the proposed classifications reflect many real-world situations.

Currently the application of Industry 4.0 is being promoted in Indonesia, among others, in systems in industry, medical, transportation, agriculture, and public services. This has encouraged the implementation of The Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The implementation of IoT in the industry there is no price problem, but in the low profit sectors the use of the industry standard IoT system is a problem. Therefore, this paper will provide the results of the study on the use of Low-Cost IoT. The most important parameter of an IoT system is the performance of sending data from the device to the server and reversing from the server to the user. IoT devices use the NodeMCU ESP8266 module on the Ubidots platform for free. Based on the design that has been carried out, the delivery time performance of IoT to Server devices for fiber optic media and 4G cellular operators is 1-2 milliseconds and 2-7 milliseconds respectively. This value according to the standard is still very good even though using unpaid services.
