Logic flaws within web applications will allow malicious operations to be triggered towards back-end database. Existing approaches to identifying logic flaws of database accesses are strongly tied to structured query language （SQL） statement construction and cannot be applied to the new generation of web applications that use not only structured query language （NoSQL） databases as the storage tier. In this paper, we present Lom, a black-box approach for discovering many categories of logic flaws within MongoDB- based web applications. Our approach introduces a MongoDB operation model to support new features of MongoDB and models the application logic as a mealy finite state machine. During the testing phase, test inputs which emulate state violation attacks are constructed for identifying logic flaws at each application state. We apply Lom to several MongoDB-based web applications and demonstrate its effectiveness.

Aiming at the problems of low feature extraction efficiency and low detection accuracy of traditional ECG signal detection algorithms, this paper proposes a convolutional neural network (CNN) and bi-directional long short-term memory (Bi-directional long short-term memory, LSTM) network hybrid ECG signal anomaly detection algorithm. This model effectively utilizes the ability of CNN to automatically extract features and BiLSTM's ability to efficiently process time series data. Through experimental verification on the arrhythmia data set in the MIT-BIH database, the overall accuracy of the model is 98.56%. Compared with support vector machine (SVM) and bidirectional long short-term memory neural network (BiLSTM), the accuracy and F1 value of this model are improved. © 2022 IEEE.

Current trends of digitalization and automation in the automotive industry have increased the complexity of computer clusters in different domains of vehicular ecosystems, which are required to support new features. This has led to redundancy in resource usage in specific use cases, resulting in increased production costs and manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) markups for the finalized products. The average retail price of a new vehicle in the United States increased by 13.4% between 2015 and 2020. Considering the global chip shortage of 2020 and current global inflation, the average price of a new vehicle in the United States reached 49,500 in 2023 [1]. With the electrification of current automotive platforms underway, as well as the move to centralized system architectures, new approaches to inter-domain communication are expected. This paper proposes a solution of a distributed AUTOSAR Adaptive system that can establish communication with the In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) domain. The proof of concept implemented in a controlled environment proves viable for inter-domain communication, as it provides good scalability and adaptability to different scenarios. The use of a distributed approach facilitates the applicability of distributed system principles, allowing for the implementation of a stable system. © 2023 IEEE.

MmView: A web-based viewer of the mmCIF format

Background: Structural biomolecular data are commonly stored in the PDB format. The PDB format is widely supported by software vendors because of its simplicity and readability. However, the PDB format cannot fully address many informatics challenges related to the growing amount of structural data. To overcome the limitations of the PDB format, a new textual format mmCIF was released in June 1997 in its version 1.0. mmCIF provides extra information which has the advantage of being in a computer readable form. However, this advantage becomes a disadvantage if a human must read and understand the stored data. While software tools exist to help to prepare mmCIF files, the number of available systems simplifying the comprehension and interpretation of the mmCIF files is limited. Findings: In this paper we present mmView - a cross-platform web-based application that allows to explore comfortably the structural data of biomacromolecules stored in the mmCIF format. The mmCIF categories can be easily browsed in a tree-like structure, and the corresponding data are presented in a well arranged tabular form. The application also allows to display and investigate biomolecular structures via an integrated Java application Jmol. Conclusions: The mmView software system is primarily intended for educational purposes, but it can also serve as a useful research tool. The mmView application is offered in two flavors: as an open-source stand-alone application (available from http://***/projects/mmview) that can be installed on the user's computer, and as a publicly available web server. © 2011 Svozil et al;licensee BioMed Central Ltd.

Finite-difference time-domain is a numerical method used for modelling of computational electrodynamics. The method is resource intensive, especially regarding memory usage since multiple memory accesses are required per single computation. In other words, memory, or more precisely its speed, is a limiting factor for the overall performance. Existing solutions focus either on structures with great parallelism such as graphical processing units or custom designs. The former have issues with underutilized resources, while the latter require significant time and effort to achieve similar or slightly better performances. The approach taken during this research was to target the memory itself and find a way to improve the efficiency of memory usage across multiple platforms. The main contribution of the paper is using block floating-point in a novel way regarding the finite-difference time-domain method. The presented solution is a verification of earlier research, proving that the performance of this algorithm can indeed be improved using the suggested methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Robust adaptive sliding mode control for uncertain delta operator systems

In this paper, a robust adaptive sliding mode controller is presented for delta operator systems with mismatched uncertainties and exogenous disturbances. The parameters of the delta operator system are taken for norm-bounded uncertainties. The exogenous disturbance is also assumed to be bounded. After the statement of a sufficient condition for the existence of linear sliding surface based on linear matrix inequality technique, a robust reaching motion control method for delta operator systems is presented. Afterwards, an adaptive sliding mode controller for delta operator systems is designed. A bridge between the robust adaptive sliding mode control and the delta operator system framework is made. Numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed techniques. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

This paper considers a quantized system with finite-level quantized input computed from quantized measurements (QIQM). The problem of globally asymptotic stability of QIQM system is transferred to the one of an equivalent system depending on a multiplier which is nonnegative and bounded. It is the focus of this paper to discuss the nonnegativity and boundness of the multiplier. A sufficient condition is given for the globally asymptotic stability of QIQM system. Note the main method used here is similar to the one used by Richter and Misawa, in which the uniform quantizer is employed. This paper is the extension of that work to the logarithmic quantization which is more advantage than the uniform one. A numerical simulation is presented at last to show the effectiveness of the main results and the advantage of logarithmic quantization compared to uniform quantization. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

Breast cancer continues to be a pressing global health concern, emphasizing the essential need for effective diagnostic techniques. Automated Breast Ultrasound Systems (ABUS) provide a promising advance in breast tumor detection, yet they require significant expertise in interpreting 3D ABUS images, a task fraught with distinctive challenges. Although Vision Transformers (ViT) display remarkable potential for image processing, their low inductive bias and significant data requirements pose obstacles, particularly in the data-constrained medical field. To mitigate these issues, we introduce a Mask-Recover strategy for pretraining Transformer models on 3D ABUS images, enhancing model adaptability and reducing the data demands of the ViT model. Moreover, recognizing the risk that ViTs' average pooling approach may unintentionally mask small but vital features, we propose Dual-CapsViT, an inventive model combining Transformers and Capsule Networks. This integration affords efficient token routing while preserving fine-grained details. To reconcile potential inconsistencies between capsules and tokens, we engineer a novel dual-channel routing algorithm, strengthening the decoder's performance. We benchmarked our models against well-known standards such as ResNet and ViT for classifying breast tumors in ABUS images. Our models exhibited superior performance, as evidenced by improved accuracy, specificity, and Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve (AUC) metrics, thereby affirming Dual-CapsViT's potential to enhance breast cancer diagnostics. © 2023 IEEE.

The paper present an efficient O(T/sup 2/) algorithm for the general single-item dynamic lot-sizing problem, where the time horizon spans over T periods, inventory levels are limited, and nonzero initial and safety stock levels are assumed to exist. The properties of the model were previously found by the author (1992) to transform the problem of finding an optimal, extreme solution into an equivalent shortest-path problem in a multigraph, which is a nontrivial generalization of the Wagner-Whitin (1958) model. Although the resulted multigraph contains O(T/sup 3/) edges, this paper shows how to construct the shortest path solution in O(T/sup 2/) time. For this type of the lot-sizing problems, the resulted algorithm has the lowest complexity over known methods.

A framework for clothing animation is developed in this paper. It integrates several key techniques involved in clothing animation. Firstly, an improved mechanical model with real material parameters are used to simulate various types of cloth realistically. Secondly, efficient distance constraints are introduced into our cloth model that effectively limits cloth extensible deformation in the plane without breaking bending deformation. Thirdly, an accelerated algorithm on GPU in collision detection process ensures responsible cloth animation. At last, an interactive system is set up on the three-tier architecture that provides users with some basic functionalities including cloth animation, human model editing and clothing simulation. The interactive editor provides a set of intuitive tools for animators to design a rich variety of human shapes and cloth animation. As a prototype system for clothing animation and virtual dressing, it is fast, reliable and expandable. © 2010 IEEE.
