We present the recent progress of SQuaRE (SPARQL Queries and R2RML mappings Environment) which is aimed at providing support for ontology-based data access. The latest SQuaRE's progress is based on the results of an evaluation conducted in order to gather user experience about using the tool. Communication channel model based on the real characteristics of the base station equipment with the MIMO technology and subscriber user equipment is presented in the article. The capacity and accuracy of channel estimation, communication are investigated using MatLab package. The communication channel is modeled by N base station antennas and a subscriber unit antenna. The input data for analysis of the spectral efficiency of the communication channel are levels of distortion of base station equipment and a subscriber unit, the number of antennas at the base station, the correlation coefficient between the neighboring antennas, signal/noise ratio, the duration of the pilot signal, the simulation time and the time step and transmit power. Distortions in the receiving and transmitting equipment are recorded for each antenna using the additive noise power, which it is proportional to the signal power in the antenna. It has been shown that the quality of the equipment affects the maximum achievable spectral efficiency of the channel, but by increasing the number of antennas of the base station equipment requirements for the quality of the base station can be reduced, since the influence of distortion in the base station equipment is reduced to zero.

Multi-channel sensors and multi-channel signal analysis form a specific area of general digital signal processing methods with applications in medicine, environmental signal analysis or technology. The paper is devoted to general mathematical methods related to initial signal de-noising, detection of its principal components and segmentation to find its specific parts. Feature detection includes the use of discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and discrete Fourier transform (DFT) for estimation of features invariant to signal shift to form clusters of close data segments. The selforganizing neural networks are then used for signal segments classification. Results are numerically evaluated by statistical analysis of distances of individual feature vector values from the corresponding cluster centers. Proposed methods are used for electroencephalogram (EEG) signal segmentation based upon detection of changes of signal spectral components applied to its first principal component, signal segments feature extraction and their classification. Results achieved are compared for different data sets and different mathematical methods used to detect signal segments features. Numerical results are compared with experience of experts specialized to EEG data analysis to allow further correlation with MR images. Proposed methods are accompanied by the appropriate graphical user interface (GUI) designed in the MATLAB environment.

In this paper, we introduce a decentralized event-triggered scheduling scheme for multi-loop Networked control Systems (NCSs) in which the individual control loops are coupled through a shared communication channel. The proposed scheduling design combines deterministic and probabilistic attributes to efficiently allocate the limited communication resource among the control loops in an event-based fashion. Based on local error thresholds, each control loop determines whether to compete for the channel access. As a result, control loops with higher transmission priorities are more likely to utilize the channel, which in turn leads to more efficient usage of the limited resource. Each eligible subsystem then attempts to transmit at times specified by local waiting times, which are randomly distributed and local-error dependent. In this manner, the probability of data collisions in the communication channel is reduced. If the channel capacity is reached at some time instants, data packets are dropped. We demonstrate stochastic stability of such NCSs in terms of Lyapunov Stability in Probability (LSP). The numerical results show that our approach improves resource utilization and reduces the networked-induced error variance in comparison with time-triggered, random access, and centralized scheduling policies.

Object detection and recognition is a common problem related to fault diagnosis in engineering or analysis of changes in biomedical data observations. As such data are often contaminated by noise it is necessary to reduce its effect during this process as well. The paper presents the application of wavelet transform to perform these task using the three dimensional wavelet decomposition, coefficients thresholding and object reconstruction. The proposed method is verified for simulated data at first and then applied for processing of backbone parts to emphasize its selected components. The goal of the paper is in (i) the presentation of the three-dimensional wavelet transform, (ii) discussion of its use for volume data de-nosing, and (iii) proposal of the following data extraction to allow their classification. The paper compares numerical results achieved by the use of different wavelet functions and thresholding methods with the experience of an expert to propose the best algorithmic approach to this problem.
