Finite-time asynchronous dissipative filtering of conic-type nonlinear Markov jump systems

In the present study, the finite-time asynchronous dissipative filter design problem for the Markov jump systems with conic-type nonlinearity is studied. The hidden Markov model can describe the asynchronism embodied in the system modes and the filter modes reasonably. Moreover, a suitable LyapunovKrasovskii function is utilized and linear matrix inequalities are applied to obtain adequate conditions. These techniques guarantee the finite-time boundedness and strict dissipativity of the filtering error dynamic system. Furthermore, the design problems of the passive filter and the H∞ filter are studied by adjusting the three parameters U, G and V. Finally, the filter gains and the optimal index α*are obtained and the correctness and feasibility of the designed approach are verified by a simulation example.

Applications of internet-of-things(IoT)are increasingly being used in many facets of our daily life,which results in an enormous volume of *** computing and fog computing,two of the most common technologies used in IoT applications,have led to major security *** are on the rise as a result of the usage of these technologies since present security measures are *** artificial intelligence(AI)based security solutions,such as intrusion detection systems(IDS),have been proposed in recent *** technologies that require data preprocessing and machine learning algorithm-performance augmentation require the use of feature selection(FS)techniques to increase classification accuracy by minimizing the number of features *** the other hand,metaheuristic optimization algorithms have been widely used in feature selection in recent *** this paper,we proposed a hybrid optimization algorithm for feature selection in *** proposed algorithm is based on grey wolf(GW),and dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithms and is referred to as *** proposed algorithm has a better balance between the exploration and exploitation steps of the optimization process and thus could achieve better *** the employed IoT-IDS dataset,the performance of the proposed GWDTO algorithm was assessed using a set of evaluation metrics and compared to other optimization approaches in 2678 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 the literature to validate its *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to assess the stability and effectiveness of the proposed *** results confirmed the superiority of the proposed approach in boosting the classification accuracy of the intrusion in IoT-based networks.

Preserving details and avoiding high computational costs are the two main challenges for the High-Resolution Salient Object Detection (HRSOD) task. In this paper, we propose a two-stage HRSOD model from the perspective of evolution and succession, including an evolution stage with Low-resolution Location Model (LrLM) and a succession stage with High-resolution Refinement Model (HrRM). The evolution stage achieves detail-preserving salient objects localization on the low-resolution image through the evolution mechanisms on supervision and feature; the succession stage utilizes the shallow high-resolution features to complement and enhance the features inherited from the first stage in a lightweight manner and generate the final high-resolution saliency prediction. Besides, a new metric named Boundary-Detail-aware Mean Absolute Error (MAEBD) is designed to evaluate the ability to detect details in high-resolution scenes. Extensive experiments on five datasets demonstrate that our network achieves superior performance at real-time speed (49 FPS) compared to state-of-the-art methods. Brain networks typically exhibit characteristic synchronization patterns where several synchronized clusters coexist. On the other hand, neurological disorders are considered to be related to pathological synchronization such as excessive synchronization of large populations of neurons. Motivated by these phenomena, this paper presents two approaches to control the cluster synchronization of Kuramoto oscillators. One is based on the use of pacemakers to the clusters, and the other is based on feeding back the mean phases to the clusters. We first show conditions on the pacemaker weights and the feedback gains for the network to achieve cluster synchronization. Then, we propose a method to find optimal feedback gains through convex optimization. A numerical example demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

During modern flexible lean manufacturing, flexible operation of irregular and complex workpieces with different specifications and arbitrary placement is an essential ability of industrial robots, while it cannot be met by traditional clamping methods. Vision technology brings flexibility and convenience to industrial robots, but the common two-dimensional technology only involves three degrees of freedom (plane displacement and rotation), which hinders the positioning of arbitrarily placing workpieces (often six degrees of freedom) and disorderly sorting. In addition, for typical visual tasks in industrial environments like defect detection, accurate distinguishing of such defects as pits and scratches is challenging under two-dimensional plane imaging. The introduction of three-dimensional information provides an effective solution to this problem. Thus, in the face of increasingly complex, flexible, intelligent and personalized manufacturing needs, the acquisition and processing of 3D visual information are of much importance. © 2021 institute of Physics Publishing. The three-dimensional vision system can improve the active perception ability of the robot, and then guide its flexible operation. This system has been widely used in industrial production processes, such as disorderly sorting, assembly, flexible welding, and defect detection. In sorting, assembly and other applications, accurate perception in a complex and changeable industrial environment is essential. Moreover, the control and other operations should be completed under the guidance of feedback information based on the collected three-dimensional perception results. Nonetheless, improvements are still required, such as accurate three-dimensional detection and positioning of work-in-progress and autonomous guidance in a complicated industrial context with continuous changes. © 2021 institute of Physics Publishing. As a decentralized machine learning approach, federated learning has become a key solution for numerous applications. However, one primary challenge lies in the data heterogeneity issue when developing effective federated learning algorithms. While many existing frameworks address the concern of non-independent and identically distributed data(non-IID), they have not considered heterogeneity of data quality. Therefore, we propose ROCFL, a robust clustered federated learning method in this study, which can amplify the disparity in weight allocation between models trained on different quality data. We first develop an optimal clustering matching mechanism that groups clients with similar data distributions. This allows the optimal clustering model to be derived without specifying a predetermined number of clusters. Next, we introduce a personalized weight allocation strategy, which assigns a weight benchmark to each cluster based on its cluster importance index. This strategy mitigates the negative impacts of low-quality data during model aggregation. Finally, we design a federated aggregation strategy grounded in a sampling approach. It not only ensures unbiased sampling but also significantly reduces both computational and communication overheads. Experiments have been carried out and the results demonstrate that higher accuracy and robustness can be achieved by ROCFL in scenarios wherein data distribution and quality heterogeneity coexist, in comparison with the benchmarks.

Sound waves can be used for trapping and manipulating objects immersed in liquids or air. However, most acoustic levitation techniques are limited to particles with diameters much smaller than the acoustic wavelength or require time-consuming optimisation-based methods that hinder the dynamic manipulation of objects. Here, we present an approach based on semidefinite programming to manipulate levitated objects in real time. To demonstrate this technique, a phased array consisting of 256 ultrasonic transducers operating at 40 kHz is used for rotating a non-spherical Rayleigh object or to translate Mie spheres along various trajectories. In contrast to previous optimisation-based approaches, the proposed method can determine the emission phases of each transducer in real time, strongly facilitating the implementation of a model-based closed-loop control in future acoustic levitation systems. This is a fundamental step for manipulating levitated objects precisely and at high speeds. © The Author(s) 2025.

In this paper, the high-order discontinuous Galerkin (DG) schemes are presented for radiation hydrodynamics equations in the equilibrium-diffusion limit. The governor equations contain two parts, one part is a hyperbolic system of conservation laws and another part is a radiative heat transfer term. The discrete schemes are constructed in three parts and possess characteristics of the high-order, oscillation-free and efficient. Firstly, the DG method and local DG (LDG) method are respectively used to discretize the hyperbolic system and radiative heat transfer term to achieve high-order spatial accuracy. Secondly, the combination of the KXRCF shock detector, Hermite WENO limiter, and positivity-preserving limiter is utilized to enhance the robustness of the discretization schemes. Finally, the implicit-explicit schemes are employed for time discretization to enable the schemes suitable for larger time steps. Numerical experiments have verified that the new schemes are high-order accuracy, oscillation-free and efficiency. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.
