Air Pollution Monitoring By Integrating Local and Global Information in Self-Adaptive Multiscale Transform Domain

As the deadliest form of pollution, air pollution had a prolonged severe damage to the human health and life safety of nearly 99% of the world's population. Facing to the problem that billions of tons of pollutants discharged into the air per year by industrial activities, this paper proposed a novel image-based air pollution monitor (IAPM) by incorporating local and global information in the self-adaptive multiscale transform domain, so as to achieve the timely and effective leakage detection of typical air pollutants from a single image. To be specific, this paper first developed a screen-shaped module according to two significant findings in visual neuroscience, which include the high sensitivity of human eyes to horizontal and vertical stimuli and the center-surround inhibition, by designing and fusing the square module, horizontal strip module and vertical strip module parallelly for simulating the behaviour of human eyes to extract local features. Second, the learnable weights and proportional mapping were applied to incorporate the screen-shaped module and lightweight vision transformer as backbone, towards more richly exploiting and fusing local and global information just as the way a brain perceives external stimuli. Third, a new self-adaptive multiscale transform domain method was devised based on two motivations from the visual characteristics of multiscale perception and the brain characteristics of self-adaptive domain transform to modify the backbone by using the operations of pooling and pointwise convolution. Extensive experiments implemented on the datasets of carbon particulate matters and ethylene leakage confirmed the superior monitoring performance of the proposed IAPM model beyond the state-of-the-art (SOTA) peers by an accuracy gain of about 4%. Furthermore, the proposed IAPM model only required 0.089 GFLOPs and 0.15 million model parameters, remarkably outperforming SOTA competitors in computational efficiency and storage resources. © 1999-2

How often should one update control and estimation:review of networked triggering techniques

Management of resources is a constant topic in industrial systems. How to use minimum communication resources is of particular interest for control and estimation of networked systems. It raises the question for researchers in the field: how often should one update control and estimation? One of the most intelligent approaches is to trigger updates by events. In the literature, event-triggered control and estimation have been widely studied in the last decade. On one hand, events should be triggered sufficiently frequent to maintain system performance; on the other hand, the possibility of Zeno behavior caused by infinite frequency should be avoided. This review aims at revisiting some existing triggering techniques in a unified formulation, separated from system dynamics and control and estimation strategies. It brings readers better understanding of triggering mechanisms, the underlying technical challenges, and some promising future research topics.

Implementation of VxWorks in autopilot for micro aerial vehicle based on PXA255 and FPGA

The overall hardware construction of autopilot within micro aerial vehicle is presented. The boot process of VxWorks real time operating system as well as the conception and function of board support package （BSP） is described. And the transplantation process of the VxWroks operat ing system into the hardware platform mentioned above is highlighted. It is shown from the final re sults that VxWorks has high stability and real time performance, ensuring accurate flight control and a smooth flight of the micro aerial vehicle.

Non-fragile Observer Design for Fractional-order One-sided Lipschitz Nonlinear Systems

This paper is concerned with the problem of the full-order observer design for a class of fractional-order Lipschitz nonlinear systems. By introducing a continuous frequency distributed equivalent model and using an indirect Lyapunov approach, the sufficient condition for asymptotic stability of the full-order observer error dynamic system is presented. The stability condition is obtained in terms of LMI, which is less conservative than the existing one. A numerical example demonstrates the validity of this approach.

In recent years, China has witnessed considerable achievements in the production of domesticallydesigned CPUs and DSPs. Owing to fifteen years of hard work that began in 2001, significant progress has been made in Chinese domestic CPUs and DSPs, primarily represented by Loongson and Shen Wei *** parts of the CPU design techniques are comparable to the world’s most advanced designs. A special issue published in Scientia Sinica I nf ormationis in April 2015, is dedicated to exhibiting the technical advancements in Chinese domestically-designed CPUs and DSPs. The content in this issue describes the design and optimization of high performance processors and the key technologies in processor development; these include high-performance micro-architecture design, many-core and multi-core design, radiation hardening design, highperformance physical design, complex chip verification, and binary translation technology. We hope that the articles we collected will promote understanding of CPU/DSP progress in China. Moreover, we believe that the future of Chinese domestic CPU/DSP processors is quite promising.

Robust adaptive control of hypersonic flight vehicle with asymmetric AOA constraint

This paper investigates the state-constrained controller design of a hypersonic flight vehicle(HFV) based on an asymmetric barrier Lyapunov function(ABLF). The robust adaptive back-stepping controller with integral terms is applied for the HFV longitudinal dynamics. Considering the asymmetric angle of attack(AOA) constraint caused by the unique structure and scramjet, the controller is modified by constructing an ABLF, where the asymmetric constraint on AOA tracking error is introduced. Combined with the constraint on virtual control, the AOA is restricted to a predefined asymmetric interval. The system stability and the AOA constraint are guaranteed via Lyapunov analysis. Simulation results verify that the AOA can be kept in the given asymmetric interval while the altitude reference signal is tracked.

Indoor Uncertain Semantic Trajectory Similarity Join

With the widespread deployment of indoor positioning systems, an unprecedented scale of indoor trajectories is being produced. By considering the inherent uncertainties and the text information contained in such an indoor trajectory, a new definition named Indoor Uncertain Semantic Trajectory is defined in this paper. In this paper, we focus on a new primitive, yet quite essential query named Indoor Uncertain Semantic Trajectory Similarity Join (IUST-Join for short), which is to match all similar pairs of indoor uncertain semantic trajectories from two sets. IUST-Join targets a number of essential indoor applications. With these applications in mind, we provide a purposeful definition of an indoor uncertain semantic trajectory similarity metric named IUS. To process IUST-Join more efficiently, both an inverted index on indoor uncertain semantic trajectories named 3IST and the first acceleration strategy are proposed to form a filtering-and-verification framework, where most invalid pairs of indoor uncertain semantic trajectories are pruned at quite low computation cost. And based on this filtering-and-verification framework, we present a highly-efficient algorithm named Indoor Uncertain Semantic Trajectory Similarity Join Processing (USP for short). In addition, lots of novel and effective acceleration strategies are proposed and embedded in the USP algorithm. Thanks to these techniques, both the time complexity and the time overhead of the USP algorithm are further reduced. The results of extensive experiments demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed work.

Nine-degrees-of-freedom (9-DoF) object pose and size estimation is crucial for enabling augmented reality and robotic manipulation. Category-level methods have received extensive research attention due to their potential for generalization to intra-class unknown objects. However, these methods require manual collection and labeling of large-scale real-world training data. To address this problem, we introduce a diffusion-based paradigm for domain-generalized category-level 9-DoF object pose estimation. Our motivation is to leverage the latent generalization ability of the diffusion model to address the domain generalization challenge in object pose estimation. This entails training the model exclusively on rendered synthetic data to achieve generalization to real-world scenes. We propose an effective diffusion model to redefine 9-DoF object pose estimation from a generative perspective. Our model does not require any 3D shape priors during training or inference. By employing the Denoising Diffusion Implicit Model, we demonstrate that the reverse diffusion process can be executed in as few as 3 steps, achieving near real-time performance. Finally, we design a robotic grasping system comprising both hardware and software components. Through comprehensive experiments on two benchmark datasets and the real-world robotic system, we show that our method achieves state-of-the-art domain generalization performance. Periodic control systems （PCSs） are widely used in real-time embedded system domain. However, traditional manual requirement analysis assumes the expert knowledge, which is laborious and error-prone. This paper proposes a novel requirement analysis approach, which supports the automated validation of the informal requirement specifi- cations. Based on the normalized initial requirement docu- ments, our approach can construct an intermediate SPARDL model with both formal syntax and semantics. To check the overall system behaviors, our approach can transform the SPARDL models into executable code for simulation. The derived prototype simulator from SPARDL models enables the testing-based system behavior validation. Moreover, our approach enables the analysis of the dataflow relations in SPARDL models. By revealing input/output and affecting re- lations, our dataflow analysis techniques can help software engineers to figure out the potential data dependencies be- tween SPARDL modules. This is very useful for the module reuse when a new version of the system is developed. A study of our approach using an industry design demonstrates the practicality and effectiveness of our approach.

Motion-Inspired Real-Time Garment Synthesis with Temporal-Consistency

Synthesizing garment dynamics according to body motions is a vital technique in computer ***-based simulation depends on an accurate model of the law of kinetics of cloth,which is time-consuming,hard to implement,and complex to *** data-driven approaches either lack temporal consistency,or fail to handle garments that are different from body *** this paper,we present a motion-inspired real-time garment synthesis workflow that enables high-level control of garment *** a sequence of body motions,our workflow is able to gen-erate corresponding garment dynamics with both spatial and temporal *** that end,we develop a transformer-based garment synthesis network to learn the mapping from body motions to garment ***-level attention is employed to capture the dependency of garments and body ***,a post-processing procedure is further tak-en to perform penetration removal and ***,textured clothing animation that is collision-free and tempo-rally-consistent is *** quantitatively and qualitatively evaluated our proposed workflow from different *** experiments demonstrate that our network is able to deliver clothing dynamics which retain the wrinkles from the physics-based simulation,while running 1000 times ***,our workflow achieved superior synthesis perfor-mance compared with alternative *** stimulate further research in this direction,our code will be publicly available soon.
