This study deals with the specific knowledge and skills of employees in the industrial sphere. In addition to concrete pre-given knowledge, employees are also expected to have a set of soft and hard skills that they must apply when solving work challenges. The aim of the study is to identify and implement a survey using a structured questionnaire on the representation of employee skills in some organizations in Slovakia. With its results, the study can contribute to the cooperation between the university environment and the labor market. The study is based on the requirements and recommendations of the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0.

This paper describes a system of indirect measurement of the melt temperature in the converter. The system provides continuous measurement of the melt temperature during the steelmaking process. After some time, there is increasing uncertainty of these models. The need for adaptation of the models is necessary, by reason of various technological changes in the steelmaking process. One of the tasks of the adaptation module is an adaptation of the model parameters for indirect measurement of temperature, which should take into account these changes and to contribute to increase the accuracy of the whole system of indirect measurement. Adaptation module also provides additional features such as adaptation of a simulation model of the steelmaking process, data collection into the buffer of melts and selection of optimal model for indirect measurement of the melt temperature for the following melt.

Successfulness and prosperity of companies in the global market to a large extent depends on the ability to measure and evaluate the quality of their own products. Product quality is mostly determined by a group of measurable criteria. Therefore, for each criterion applies separate control chart as a basic tool for quality management. The contribution addresses the issue of how to design a multi-dimensional modification of the classical Shewhart control chart for the needs of multi-criteria statistical quality control. This is a proposal for construction of n-dimensional control chart based on the classical Shewhart control chart for the regulation by measuring. This proposal is based on a geometric interpretation of the control chart algorithm, at what is used the metric of Euclidean real vector space En. Attention in the work is devoted to defined geometrical structures of space used and possibilities how to use them. It is also remitted to the visualization possibilities of process variability development in two- or three-dimensional representation.

The publication deals with the test equipment for measuring properties of conveyor belts of pipe conveyor. The device was designed with the aim of setting tension force and measuring the contact forces at positions which correspond to positions of idlers at hexagonal idler housing of pipe conveyor. Contribution gives an overview of experimentally obtained statistics, relations and relationships. Presented several results of analyses focused on potential context between the information brought by experiments and practical application. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

In this paper we provide some complexity aspects of incremental algorithm for creation of generalized one-sided concept lattices. The novelty of this algorithm is in its possibility to work with different types of attributes and produce one-sided concept lattice from the generalized one-sided formal context. As it is shown in the paper, the complexity of the algorithm is in general exponential. However, in practice it is reasonable to consider special cases, where the number of attributes is fixed. Then complexity of presented algorithm asymptotically becomes linear function depending on the number of objects in formal context. © 2012 IEEE.

In this article a new discrete approximation of the fractional-order derivative/integral in the form of IIR filer is presented. This approach is based on power series expansion of Tustin rule to the IIR filter form. A Matlab function for this approximation technique is presented as well. Obtained results are applicable for practical implementation of the fractional order systems as well as the fractional order controllers.

In the paper a comparison of different optimization methods to identification of fractional order dynamical systems is presented. The fractional models of the examples of physical systems - ultracapacitors - are established. Then different real frequency responses data from a laboratory setup of the processes are collected and the comparison of identification methods based on Least Squares and Total Least Squares are presented. The accuracy of the methods is discussed using the frequency responses of the identified model and the theoretical one. © 2011 IEEE.

At technological processes of metallurgy and machine industry is steel annealing one of the most important operations have influence on production in term of the efficiency, quality and costs. By selection of suitable control of annealing process of the steel coils is possible to increase quality of annealed batch and economic efficiency of the furnace operation. In this paper is described control of annealing process of the steel coils by using of discreet feed-back controller PI and PID based on behaviour of inner temperature inside the coil. Indirect measurement system of the inner temperatures indirect measures temperature inside the coil that is not measurable without destruction of the coil. Indirect measured temperature inside the coil in chosen place (coolest place in the coil) is as input to the algorithm of the feed-back control. This control adjusts atmosphere temperature for next control step, based on error calculation between required inner temperature and indirect measured inner temperature. Inscribed control algorithm was verified with utilization of simulation model of the steel coil's annealing process based on indirect measurement system of the inner temperatures.

In this paper we describe incremental algorithm for generalized one-sided concept lattices based on the Galois connections within Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) framework, which allows to analyse object-attribute models with different structures for truth values of attributes. Therefore, this method provide interesting opportunity for researcher or data analyzer to work with any type of attributes without the need for specific unified preprocessing. The result is that such algorithm can be very useful for any object-attribute models with non-homogenous attributes types, what is quite typical in data mining or online analytical tools. Moreover, it allows to create same FCA-based output in form of concept lattice as in any other case with very precise definition of attribute values and their interpretation. Description of algorithm is extended with practical details regarding its implementation and illustrative example based on the real data from analysis of the secondary school learning process. © 2011 IEEE.

This paper presents configuration principles of the PLC and internet router for requirements of remote monitoring and control of the technological process. For one router can be connected not only classical modular PLC but also PLC Power Panel with a process visualization and same operator PC. Communication of the PLC with a operator PC can be provided also by wireless data transmission so-called Wi-Fi. Principle of the equipment's configuration is demonstrated on B&R automatons in combination with a standard network router. In paper are presented principles of the visualization creation for Power Panel in B&R Automation Studio and software settings on the side of the communication interface OPC (OLE for Process control). Presented practices were applied into the monitoring system of the indirect temperature measurement.
