Adaptive sail fish optimizer based optimized region selection for robust video steganography

Securing data transmission in a digital era is a difficult one due to the broad application of the Internet, personal computers, and mobile phones for communication. Traditional video steganography techniques sometimes fail to identify the best pixels for encoding hidden data, resulting in lowerquality and robustness. To solve this issue, this article proposes an innovative steganography technique that improves the security and quality of data hiding. The proposed method takes cover video and secret images as input. The Structural Similarity Index Measurement (SSIM) first collects key frames from the input video. The adaptive sailfish optimizer (ASFO) is then used to find the best regions within these keyframes to insert the secret data in. To improve security, the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is applied to the specified region, and the LL band is used for the hiding process. The secret image is encrypted by Adaptive elliptical curve cryptography (AECC) and transformed to binary bits, which then get embedded in the chosen band. This method leads to the construction of a stego-video. The extraction procedure is repeated using the same approach, which ensures secure and robust data transmission. Performance metrics, including PSNR, BER, NAE, TAF, and NC are analyzed to compare each method's efficacy. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of Computer Applications and Management 2025.

In the workplace, risk prevention helps detect the risks and prevent accidents. To achieve this, workers' mental and physical parameters related to their health should be focused on and analyzed. It helps improve the workers' mental health and thus improves organizational performance. There are a lot of mental illnesses due to excess work and a lack of professional knowledge. It affects the performance of the worker. So, the organization needs to conduct competency training programs to improve their professional skills and the mindset to tackle the work pressure. There are several competency training programs given in various organizations to mold the workers, and it considerably reduces workplaces risks. Competency training in the workplace teaches integrity, honesty, managerial skills, and other workers. Developing organizational skills is the primary concern in this competency training. This paper enabled one of the best machine learning algorithms to be chosen to predict the hazards in the workplace and provide a healthy environment to the workers. For that, several classification methods such as Logistic Regression, Decision trees, AdaBoost classifier, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting classifier, and XGBoost classifier are implemented experimented with, and the performance is verified with python software. From the comparison, it has been found that the XGBoost classifier is selected as the best classifier and identified that it is highly suitable for analyzing and predicting workplace risks data. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Considering that hyperspectral image (HSI) is often of lower spatial resolution when compared to multispectral image (MSI), an economical approach for obtaining a high-spatial-resolution (HSR) HSI is to fuse the acquired HSI and MSI, thereby greatly facilitating the subsequent material identification and classification in satellite remote sensing. As satellite-acquired HSI and MSI are often misaligned, the proposed deep neural network does not require the input HSI/MSI to be spatially co-registered, making the challenging fusion network design even more difficult. In this study, we propose a streamlined and efficient convex model integrated into the subnetwork, which obviates the need for complex network structures in learning spatial-spectral relationships, effectively guiding the quasi-residual learning task in our alignment-free fusion network. The convex subnetwork is a low-rank model that leverages the convex geometric structure implicitly embedded in the hyperspectral signature space. To address the misalignment between HSI and MSI effectively, we introduce a novel shifted window attention module (SWAM) that exploits the neighboring correlation in the feature domain, significantly enhancing the performance and stability of the fusion task. Capitalizing on the redundancy among spectrums, we employ grouped convolution to decrease the computational complexity without causing additional performance degradation. The proposed quasi-residual convex deep (QRCODE) network demonstrates the state-of-the-art performance in alignment-free HSI/MSI fusion tasks. © 1980-2012 IEEE.

Many well-known and effective anomaly detection methods assume that a reasonable decision boundary has a hypersphere shape, which however is difficult to obtain in practice and is not sufficiently compact, especially when the data are in high-dimensional spaces. In this paper, we first propose a novel deep anomaly detection model that improves the original hypersphere learning through an orthogonal projection layer, which ensures that the training data distribution is consistent with the hypersphere hypothesis, thereby increasing the true positive rate and decreasing the false negative rate. Moreover, we propose a bi-hypersphere compression method to obtain a hyperspherical shell that yields a more compact decision region than a hyperball, which is demonstrated theoretically and numerically. The proposed methods are not confined to common datasets such as image and tabular data, but are also extended to a more challenging but promising scenario, graph-level anomaly detection, which learns graph representation with maximum mutual information between the substructure and global structure features while exploring orthogonal single- or bi-hypersphere anomaly decision boundaries. The numerical and visualization results on benchmark datasets demonstrate the superiority of our methods in comparison to many baselines and state-of-the-art methods. © 2024 12th International Conference on Learning Representations, ICLR 2024. Association in-between features has been demonstrated to improve the representation ability of data. However, the original association data reconstruction method may face two issues: the dimension of reconstructed data is undoubtedly higher than that of original data, and adopted association measure method does not well balance effectiveness and efficiency. To address above two issues, this paper proposes a novel association-based representation improvement method, named as AssoRep. AssoRep first obtains the association between features via distance correlation method that has some advantages than Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Then an improved matrix is formed via stacking the association value of any two features. Next, an improved feature representation is obtained by aggregating the original feature with the enhancement matrix. Finally, the improved feature representation is mapped to a low-dimensional space via principal component analysis. The effectiveness of AssoRep is validated on 120 datasets and the fruits further prefect our previous work on the association data reconstruction.

Information retrieval systems commonly depend on ranking models to prioritize search results, which requires efficient feature selection to improve accuracy. Feature selection improves the model's query relevance ranking by selecting the most relevant features. This unique method avoids diluting the ranking model with unnecessary variables, resulting in more accurate ranks. The proposed approach consists of three separate stages: multi-objective instance selection, feature selection, and ensemble method. By utilizing a listwise methodology, the algorithm directly enhances the optimization of ranking criteria resulting in enhanced performance. The effectiveness of FS-listwise was evaluated using standardized datasets. After conducting experiments, results shown that the proposed method have peak performance than MOFSRank and classical ranking algorithms, such as ListNet and LambdaMART, in terms of Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain and consistently selecting a minimal yet highly effective feature set. © 2024 IEEE.

Feature Selection (FS) is essential for optimizing Learning to Rank (LTR) models by determining the vital choice of attributes from a complex dataset. This study examines feature selection strategies within the framework of learning to rank, specifically emphasizing a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm utilizing the listwise approach. Conventional ranking algorithms frequently experience issues with superfluous or unnecessary features, undermining their efficacy. The suggested method employs a combination of instance selection, evolutionary optimization, and ensemble techniques to choose feature subsets. The methodology seeks to reduce the feature count while enhancing ranking precision, assessed via the Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain (NDCG) metric. Experiments were performed using LETOR 4.0 dataset (MQ2007-list and MQ2008-list), evaluating proposed method against established listwise ranking algorithms like ListMLE, ListNet, RankCosine and p-ListMLE. The findings indicate that, although there are performance discrepancies relative to current algorithms, the suggested method attains substantial feature reduction up to 60 percent while maintaining competitive ranking accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

The usage of machine learning and deep learning algorithms have necessitated Artificial Intelligence'. AI is aimed at automating things by limiting human interference. It is widely used in IT, healthcare, finance, and agriculture. It is achieved through several deep learning algorithms that reflect the human brain's intelligence. These AI algorithms can be manipulated according to changing needs and improved efficiency. This paper tries to utilize the developments made in AI technology to classify the images and recognize the objects present in them. One widely used AI algorithm is CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks). The CNN is a deep learning-based algorithm that consists of various layers that extract and filters the parameters present in the images. Some additional layers of ResNet50 and the CNN algorithm are used to extract the parameters to improve image recognition accuracy. The image dataset taken for training and testing the proposed model is imageNet. The images are initially processed before sending them to the proposed model. The proposed model is trained, validated, and tested through the images obtained after the initial processing. The same process is repeated several times until getting the maximum accuracy. The accuracy of the proposed model in terms of image recognition is recorded. The obtained results are compared with other image classification algorithms like VGG16 and VGG19. The aging of operational reactors leads to increased mechanical vibrations in the reactor *** vibration of the incore sensors near their nominal locations is a new problem for neutronic field *** field-reconstruction methods fail to handle spatially moving *** this study,we propose a Voronoi tessellation technique in combination with convolutional neural networks to handle this *** from movable in-core sensors were projected onto the same global field structure using Voronoi tessellation,holding the magnitude and location information of the *** convolutional neural networks were used to learn maps from observations to the global *** proposed method reconstructed multi-physics fields(including fast flux,thermal flux,and power rate)using observations from a single field(such as thermal flux).Numerical tests based on the IAEA benchmark demonstrated the potential of the proposed method in practical engineering applications,particularly within an amplitude of 5 cm around the nominal locations,which led to average relative errors below 5% and 10% in the L_(2) and L_(∞)norms,respectively.

First-year computing is the most important pathway to undergraduate degrees and student success in computing, data science, engineering, and related fields. While there is an abundance of research in the area, we still lack retention of students in first-year computing. This is due to many factors including, but not limited to, 1) student math preparation and readiness from high school, 2) adjunct faculty teaching classes where no common coursework is employed, 3) faculty teaching the same courses in different ways, creating inconsistency in material covered, and 4) lack of tutoring for students who are struggling, behind, or do not understand the material. This paper presents task force results from a collaboration between faculty and academic support specialists. The paper focuses on two high-impact areas of improvement: standardizing curricula and building support scaffolding outside the classroom. The results, a comprehensive course blueprint, include core resources for a first-semester computing course and recommendations for identification and support of struggling students. © American Society for Engineering Education, 2023.
