Deep neural networks have long been criticized for being black-box. To unveil the inner workings of modern neural architectures, a recent work [45] proposed an information-theoretic objective function called Sparse Rate Reduction (SRR) and interpreted its unrolled optimization as a Transformer-like model called Coding Rate Reduction Transformer (CRATE). However, the focus of the study was primarily on the basic implementation, and whether this objective is optimized in practice and its causal relationship to generalization remain elusive. Going beyond this study, we derive different implementations by analyzing layer-wise behaviors of CRATE, both theoretically and empirically. To reveal the predictive power of SRR on generalization, we collect a set of model variants induced by varied implementations and hyperparameters and evaluate SRR as a complexity measure based on its correlation with generalization. Surprisingly, we find out that SRR has a positive correlation coefficient and outperforms other baseline measures, such as path-norm and sharpness-based ones. Furthermore, we show that generalization can be improved using SRR as regularization on benchmark image classification datasets. We hope this paper can shed light on leveraging SRR to design principled models and study their generalization ability.

This paper focuses on graph metric learning. First, we present a class of maximum mean discrepancy (MMD) based graph kernels, called MMD-GK. These kernels are computed by applying MMD to the node representations of two graphs with message-passing propagation. Secondly, we provide a class of deep MMD-GKs that are able to learn graph kernels and implicit graph features adaptively in an unsupervised manner. Thirdly, we propose a class of supervised deep MMD-GKs that are able to utilize label information of graphs and hence yield more discriminative metrics. Besides the algorithms, we provide theoretical analysis for the proposed methods. The proposed methods are evaluated in comparison to many baselines such as graph kernels and graph neural networks in the tasks of graph clustering and graph classification. The numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of our methods. The usage of machine learning and deep learning algorithms have necessitated Artificial Intelligence'. AI is aimed at automating things by limiting human interference. It is widely used in IT, healthcare, finance, and agriculture. It is achieved through several deep learning algorithms that reflect the human brain's intelligence. These AI algorithms can be manipulated according to changing needs and improved efficiency. This paper tries to utilize the developments made in AI technology to classify the images and recognize the objects present in them. One widely used AI algorithm is CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks). The CNN is a deep learning-based algorithm that consists of various layers that extract and filters the parameters present in the images. Some additional layers of ResNet50 and the CNN algorithm are used to extract the parameters to improve image recognition accuracy. The image dataset taken for training and testing the proposed model is imageNet. The images are initially processed before sending them to the proposed model. The proposed model is trained, validated, and tested through the images obtained after the initial processing. The same process is repeated several times until getting the maximum accuracy. The accuracy of the proposed model in terms of image recognition is recorded. The obtained results are compared with other image classification algorithms like VGG16 and VGG19. In this research paper, an enhanced hotel quality scoring method (EHQSM), is presented as a revolutionary way to analyze hotel quality. The EHQSM combines sentiment analysis, HOLSERV Plus dimensions classification, and amenity scores to deliver a more thorough review. The study generates an overall sentiment score by doing sentiment analysis on reviews categorized into HOLSERV Plus dimensions then thoughtfully averaging it using dimensionspecific weights collected from a survey. The availability of necessary amenities is considered when calculating the amenity score. The novel feature of this approach is how the amenity score, and sentiment score are carefully combined and efficiently weighted using values from the survey. The result is an improved quality score that accurately and thoroughly describes the quality of hotel services. With the goal of facilitating informed decisions for both hotel owners and attentive tourists, this technique establishes an updated standard for the evaluation of hospitality quality. © 2023 IEEE.

The method's effectiveness is validated through a comparative study with established hotel ratings. This advancement not only refines precise customer satisfaction assessment for hotels but also bears strategic significance for countries aiming to fortify their tourism sectors. This paper presents a gesture-based RockPaper-Scissors game that leverages computer vision and hand gesture recognition to enable intuitive human-computer interaction. Utilizing MediaPipe's pre-trained hand tracking module, the system detects and identifies 21 hand landmarks in real-time to classify gestures as rock, paper or scissors based on angular relationships between key points. OpenCV is used for webcam integration and video frame preprocessing, ensuring seamless interaction. The game compares the recognized gesture with a computer-generated move, dynamically displaying the results and resetting after each round for continuous play. The system identifies gestures through precise angle calculations, differentiating between closed fists, open palms and extended fingers. Sample outputs demonstrate real-time gameplay scenarios, highlighting gesture recognition accuracy and user engagement. Future enhancements include refining recognition accuracy, adding multiplayer functionality, introducing customizable gestures, and deploying the game on web and mobile platforms for broader accessibility. This project showcases the potential of integrating AI and computer vision in creating engaging and user-friendly applications. © 2025 IEEE.

The main objective of this project is to create a user-friendly intelligent chatbot for Medical guidance and support. This application has been classified into two different modes based on user preference, those are Online and Offline modes of interaction. In the Online mode of interaction, there is no need for any automation, there will be a real person at the other end answering user queries. Users can even ask for untrained data and will receive instant replies. This application is similar to a normal chat application, but the main disadvantage is that a real person is needed at the other end at all times. In the Offline mode of conversation which is entirely automated the user will be performing an interaction with the chatbot itself. The chatbot must consist of data sets and trained data collection, in this process there is no need for any real person, the chatbot itself will reply instantly based on the trained data. The chatbot will be more accurate when a large number of data is trained. This application is compatible with working in various browsers and varied networks. The Admin of the application plays a significant role. Admin can access all the given functions and is responsible for data training. data training plays a vital role in this application, the trained data will be used by the chatbot while answering user queries i.e. Offline mode. This chatbot application can be accessed by several users at the same time, where IP address plays the main role. The main function of this application is that user can post their corresponding queries and the application will be providing relevant information based on queries. The Latest Modern chatbots are used in applications where simple interaction is needed, for example, service and marketing technology to provide answers such as products, services, and consultancy. If the customer's queries don't match with the trained data sets, the customer will be escalated to manual interaction i.e. Online mode. © 2024 IE

In order to efficiently identify the outliers of ship AIS trajectories under high-speed sampling conditions, this paper proposes an outlier identification model based on ship position distance distribution. Taking the ship AIS track data of Yangshan port as an example, the kernel density is used to estimate the daily ship position distance distribution, and then the threshold is determined and the outliers are screened out. In this paper, it is proved that the ship position distance distributions on two adjacent days are approximate, so the threshold value of yesterday can be substituted into today to identify today's outliers effectively. The experimental results show that in the application environments of Yangshan Port waters where the average rate of ship AIS track data writing into the database is 43 items/sec and the coastal waters of East China Sea where the average rate of ship AIS track data writing into the database is 287 items/sec, the model is able to efficiently identify the outliers of the ship AIS trajectories. © 2024 IEEE.

With the surging growth of model parameters, foundation models pose unprecedented challenges to traditional computational infrastructures. These large models inherently require substantial accelerator memory to accommodate massive tensors during pre-training, fine-tuning, and even inference stages, making it even more challenging to deploy a model with restricted computational resources. Given this challenge, distribution and offloading the model states are two major solutions. Partitioning the required states to participating workers, and storing them in lower speed media, such as host DRAM and block devices, largely alleviate the accelerator memory pressure. However, the prohibitive costs of tensor communication render it a theoretically plausible yet practically inefficient solution. Previous efforts to improve efficiency include maximizing rematerialization and employing chunk-based tensor management to reduce host-device communication. Despite these efforts, the reported training throughput only achieves 36.54% of model FLOPs utilization (MFUs), still not comparable to full on-device training. In this work, we redesign the data flow of heterogeneous hardware and sharded model training to minimize the excessive communication overhead. Our proposed scheme significantly enhances training and inference throughput of large language models under restrictive computational resources. We confirmed a large leap in effective compute time by looking into the kernel-level runtime behavior of our trials, where the MFUs can achieve up to 51%. Compared to the state-of-the-art approach, our framework robustly achieves remarkable speedups from 3x to 30x in multiple distributed heterogeneous training setups and inference speedups of 1.5x to 2.35x without compromising arithmetic precision. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. Efficient route optimization is a crucial concern in modern transportation systems, influencing travel time, resource consumption, and user satisfaction. By empowering users to select their priority parameters, such as safety or efficiency, this project enables travellers to make eco-conscious choices and select routes that minimize their environmental footprint. Real-time data integration ensures users can bypass traffic jams and accidents, reducing emissions and fuel consumption. Furthermore, the focus on safety factors helps prevent accidents, thereby fostering safer road environments. Existing systems often fall short, providing limited customization and overlooking safety and sustainability priorities. To bridge these gaps, this project introduces an advanced route planning system that empowers users to select their priority parameters, integrates real-time data for up-to- the-minute updates, and prioritizes road safety. It introduces a pioneering approach that enhances the Dijkstra Algorithm by integrating real-time accident rate and travel time data into the route optimization process. By considering these additional factors, the algorithm produces routes that not only minimize distance but also prioritize safety and time efficiency in dynamic real-world conditions. The algorithm's multi-factor optimization considers distance, accident rates, and travel times, enabling the creation of routes that balance these criteria and offer improved decision-making for users through a user- friendly interface. The algorithm's dynamic adaptability, multi- factor optimization, and practical implementation showcase its potential to revolutionize how routes are planned, leading to safer, faster, and more informed travel experiences. © 2024 IEEE.
