In healthcare systems, wound care management is essential for reducing infections and promoting faster recovery. To improve wound care, this paper proposes a data-driven method that combines machine learning (ML), more particularly, Logistic Regression (LR), with Internet of Things (IoT) sensors to identify early infections. The system provides real-time data streams to healthcare providers by continually monitoring important wound parameters, including temperature, moisture, pH levels, and exudate presence via IoT-enabled sensors. Using LR, the system predicts the potential of wound infections based on these physiological indicators, allowing for more effective patient care and early treatments. When tested for accuracy and dependability in infection prediction, the proposed model shows significant detection skills with few false positives. This approach optimizes clinical processes by reducing the need for manual wound examination, enhancing patient safety, and lowering the possibility of complications from infections. Wound care management might improve patient outcomes and expedite infection control measures in medical institutions. © 2024 IEEE.

Cassava is an essential food item in the tropics, it may origin enormous productivity decreases in cassava, leading to significant financial losses and a shortage of basic foods. Small-scale farmers grow the essential food and nutrition crop cassava because it can withstand harsh conditions. In many African nations, it provides a substantial source of carbohydrates. Leaf infections can occasionally harm cassava crops, limiting total productivity and farmers' income. In this study, Pre trained models are utilized for the determination of disease identification and classification on plant leaf issues. VGG 16 has been put into use, and its performance has been examined. An exploratory study is carried out using an online Cassava image collection, which contains pictures of Cassava leaves afflicted with five different disease categories. The vgg16 classifier that was suggested surpasses its competitors greatly and achieves an accuracy of 97.58%. The results of the test demonstrate that improving classification performance by using a database of images that is well balanced is possible. © 2023 IEEE.

Road safety depends heavily on traffic signs, and as there are more vehicles on the road, the demand for precise traffic sign recognition systems rises. The development of machine-learning algorithms to predict and recognize traffic signs in real-time has been the main focus of research. An overview of the state of advancement in image analysis and classification for recognizing road signs is given in this article. It also goes through their benefits and drawbacks in various traffic situations. Managing various lighting and weather situations, the necessity for real-time processing, and future connection with autonomous driving systems are just a few of the difficulties that are highlighted in the paper. This study seeks to provide guidance to professionals working in the areas of autonomous driving, computer vision, and machine learning who recognize traffic signs. © 2023 IEEE.

TikTok is a popular social networking application that offers trend research and is a valuable source for users. However, this is often misconstrued for content, which may not be suitable for children due to misappropriate content. This study aims to improve user perception of TikTok by using topic modelling and clustering techniques to identify trending topics in TikTok videos. The research uses Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) and K-means clustering techniques to enhance the recognition of local and global topics across text documents. The methodology includes data collection, data pre-processing, clustering, topic modelling, and results. Ten subjects associated with trending TikTok videos are displayed using the LDA algorithm, and the generated topics are used to produce an Inter-topic Distance Map. The method’s effectiveness is evaluated using log-likelihood score and perplexity measurements. It has a log-likelihood score of 5579 and a perplexity score of 287. A good model is one with a higher log-likelihood and lower perplexity. The study ex-tracts popular TikTok topics using both the LDA topic modelling technique and the K-means clustering algorithm. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Dynamic effects in industrial logistics demand more creative solutions towards the pursuit of efficiency and agility in evolving environments. Though static path-planning and taskallocation algorithms have provided the basis for how autonomous vehicles are guided within structured environments, those approaches usually fail to contend with indeterminacy outside of their modelled world, where there is dynamic obstacle appearance and changing task requirements, thus raising inefficiencies and costs of operations. To address these issues, the paper introduces a new multi-agent coordination system that uses a hybrid A∗ algorithm, integrating path planning with sophisticated detection methods for dynamic obstacles and improving superior task allocation. The system is supposed to provide improvements in real-time coordination in industries of autonomous vehicles to achieve efficient management of tasks and paths in changing environments. We integrate the latest in machine learning techniques for improved and real-time updates within the changes of the vehicle routing process based on both immediate sensory input and environmental interactions. Simulations show that our system performs the task much faster than classic systems: up to 30% improvement in completing tasks compared with classic models, and an average improvement of 25% in allround energy efficiency. It intelligently integrates machine learning techniques with real-time data processing. With the ability to scale up or down, or to adapt itself, this system addresses the chief challenges existing methods face and could revolutionize logistics operations within any industry. © 2024 IEEE.

Hyperparameter tuning is an important aspect in machine-learning especially for deep generative models. Tuning models to stabilize training and to get the best accuracy can be a time consuming and protracted process. Generative models have a large search space requiring resources and knowledge to find the best parameters. Therefore, in most cases the search space is reduced and parameters are limited to a selected few to save time and computation time. This paper explores three different strategies to predict high impact hyperparameters for Pix2Pix. The achieved results show, that binary classification and regression achieve good results and reliably predict good hyperparameter combinations. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V. Recent generalizations of the Hopfield model of associative memories are able to store a number P of random patterns that grows exponentially with the number N of neurons, P=exp(αN). Besides the huge storage capacity, another interesting feature of these networks is their connection to the attention mechanism which is part of the Transformer architecture widely applied in deep learning. In this work, we study a generic family of pattern ensembles using a statistical mechanics analysis which gives exact asymptotic thresholds for the retrieval of a typical pattern, α1, and lower bounds for the maximum of the load α for which all patterns can be retrieved, αc, as well as sizes of attraction basins. We discuss in detail the cases of Gaussian and spherical patterns, and show that they display rich and qualitatively different phase diagrams.

Accurate brain tumor prediction is essential when approaching the field of health care;wherever accuracy in decision-making is crucial, the issues also need to be resolved right away. Many artificial intelligence and machine learning-based techniques have been developed in the last couple of years in the field of healthcare. The intention of this work is to create an algorithm that combines the features of Crow Search (CS) and Interval Type-II Fuzzy Logic System (IT2FLS) algorithms to distinguish the area of tumor from complex brain tissues. The ability of oncologists to make decisions is critical for any therapy sequence to be successful, and the methodology proposed in the research work considerably influences a conclusion through technology interruption. The suggested approach is flexible enough to work with a diversity of image sequences found in the BRATS Challenge 2020 dataset that presents varying degrees of obstacles, challenges, and difficulties in locating the anomalous regions, and it produces improved demarcation results that have been instinctively evaluated and supported by Dice score (98 ± 1.3), specificity (98 ± 1.4), and sensitivity (98 ± 1.7) as average metrics. The motive of this study is the enhancement of the visual perception of oncologists, which gives them improved insight into and comprehension of the condition of the patient. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Identifying melanoma in dermoscopic images is an immense challenge due to the varied appearances of the lesions. This research introduces a hybrid CNN-LSTM model augmented with a multi-scale attention mechanism to tackle this complexity, utilising CNNs for spatial feature extraction and LSTMs for temporal pattern recognition. Our model surpasses traditional CNN and MobileNet V2-LSTM models, with an accuracy of 96.98%, a recall of 96.65%, a specificity of 97.56%, and a JSI of 95.78%. These measurements demonstrate enhanced sensitivity and reliability compared to baseline models, signifying strong diagnostic capabilities. This study improves melanoma detection, aiding in more precise diagnoses for clinical environments and remote telemedicine applications. Future initiatives involve enhancing the model for more comprehensive skin lesion categorisation. © 2025 IEEE.

In this digital era, memes have become a prevalent online expression, humor, sarcasm, and social commentary. However, beneath their surface lies concerning issues such as the propagation of misogyny, gender-based bias, and harmful stereotypes. To overcome these issues, we introduced MDMD (Misogyny Detection Meme dataset) in this paper. This article focuses on creating an annotated dataset with detailed annotation guidelines to delve into online misogyny within the Tamil and Malayalam-speaking communities. Through analyzing memes, we uncover the intricate world of gender bias and stereotypes in these communities, shedding light on their manifestations and impact. This dataset, along with its comprehensive annotation guidelines, is a valuable resource for understanding the prevalence, origins, and manifestations of misogyny in various contexts, aiding researchers, policymakers, and organizations in developing effective strategies to combat gender-based discrimination and promote equality and inclusivity. It enables a deeper understanding of the issue and provides insights that can inform strategies for cultivating a more equitable and secure online environment.
