Feature Selection (FS) is essential for optimizing Learning to Rank (LTR) models by determining the vital choice of attributes from a complex dataset. This study examines feature selection strategies within the framework of learning to rank, specifically emphasizing a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm utilizing the listwise approach. Conventional ranking algorithms frequently experience issues with superfluous or unnecessary features, undermining their efficacy. The suggested method employs a combination of instance selection, evolutionary optimization, and ensemble techniques to choose feature subsets. The methodology seeks to reduce the feature count while enhancing ranking precision, assessed via the Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain (NDCG) metric. Experiments were performed using LETOR 4.0 dataset (MQ2007-list and MQ2008-list), evaluating proposed method against established listwise ranking algorithms like ListMLE, ListNet, RankCosine and p-ListMLE. The findings indicate that, although there are performance discrepancies relative to current algorithms, the suggested method attains substantial feature reduction up to 60 percent while maintaining competitive ranking accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

In this fast-paced Digital Age, Natural Language Processing (NLP) can prove beneficial in consuming quality information efficiently. With the ever-growing number of learning resources, it is becoming onerous for students to choose the best-suited learning resource. Furthermore, many students find it difficult to understand and retain highly factual information. To overcome these issues, this paper proposes a novel Automated TExt Summarization of scholastic text in Table format (Auto-TEST) to provide information at a glance by mimicking the student’s style of note-making. The Auto-TEST framework is achieved through two steps which is Summarization and Tabulation. Initially, the Extractive Single Document Text Summarization (ESDTS) method is adopted to identify the salient information from the non-fictional (scholastic) text which is extracted and grouped together to form a concise summary. A Named Entity Recognition (NER) method is implemented to extract noun chunks and then arrange them in a tabulation format that aids in memorizing essential facts and figures by enabling effortless retrieval. The performance of the Auto-TEST framework is gauged by using scholastic domain-specific dataset using ROUGE as an evaluation metric. The extracted entities gives an average Recall of 71.40%, an average Precision score of 75.80% and an average F-score of 73.54% for the dataset respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Stress is a relationship between a person and environment which is one of the most common and serious health issues worldwide. Work life balance for working women is highly desirable and if there is no job satisfaction or consistency in life it will create a dilemma for women employees. Work life balance should be in an equilibrium state between personal and professional life. Balancing both personal and professional life is a stressful job for both men and women, which causes more problems physically and mentally. Working women get more stress than men because women undergo more stress taking care of children's, family members, household works and in working environment. In India, 87% of women gets more stress due to taking care of family and working environment. This causes severe problem when corresponding measures are not taken. This paper discusses the factor influencing the women to get more stress in educational institution and divides the project based on personal and professional life. © 2022 IEEE.

Graph based representation has been widely used in modelling spatio-temporal relationships in video understanding. Although effective, existing graph-based approaches focus on capturing the human-object relationships while ignoring fine-grained semantic properties of the action components. These semantic properties are crucial for understanding the current situation, such as where does the action takes place, what tools are used and functional properties of the objects. In this work, we propose a graph-based representation called Situational Scene Graph (SSG) to encode both human-object relationships and the corresponding semantic properties. The semantic details are represented as predefined roles and values inspired by situation frame, which is originally designed to represent a single action. Based on our proposed representation, we introduce the task of situational scene graph generation and propose a multi-stage pipeline Interactive and Complementary Network (InComNet) to address the task. Given that the existing datasets are not applicable to the task, we further introduce a SSG dataset whose annotations consist of semantic role-value frames for human, objects and verb predicates of human-object relations. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed SSG representation by testing on different downstream tasks. Experimental results show that the unified representation can not only benefit predicate classification and semantic role-value classification, but also benefit reasoning tasks on human-centric situation understanding. Many well-known and effective anomaly detection methods assume that a reasonable decision boundary has a hypersphere shape, which however is difficult to obtain in practice and is not sufficiently compact, especially when the data are in high-dimensional spaces. In this paper, we first propose a novel deep anomaly detection model that improves the original hypersphere learning through an orthogonal projection layer, which ensures that the training data distribution is consistent with the hypersphere hypothesis, thereby increasing the true positive rate and decreasing the false negative rate. Moreover, we propose a bi-hypersphere compression method to obtain a hyperspherical shell that yields a more compact decision region than a hyperball, which is demonstrated theoretically and numerically. The proposed methods are not confined to common datasets such as image and tabular data, but are also extended to a more challenging but promising scenario, graph-level anomaly detection, which learns graph representation with maximum mutual information between the substructure and global structure features while exploring orthogonal single- or bi-hypersphere anomaly decision boundaries. The numerical and visualization results on benchmark datasets demonstrate the superiority of our methods in comparison to many baselines and state-of-the-art methods. © 2024 12th International Conference on Learning Representations, ICLR 2024. The secure authentication of user data is crucial in various sectors, including digital banking, medical applications and e-governance, especially for images. Secure communication protects against data tampering and forgery, thereby bolstering the foundation for informed decision-making, whether managing traffic, enhancing public safety, or monitoring environmental conditions. Conventional visual cryptographic protocols offer solutions, particularly for color images, though they grapple with challenges such as high computational demands and reliance on multiple cover images. Additionally, they often require third-party authorization to verify the image integrity. On the other hand, visual cryptography offers a streamlined approach. It divides images into shares, where each pixel represented uniquely, thus allowing visual decryption without complex computations. The optimized multi-tiered authentication protocol (OMTAP), which is integrated with the visual sharing scheme (VSS), takes secure image sharing to the next level. It reduces share count, prioritizes image fidelity and transmission security, and introduces the self-verification of decrypted image integrity through asymmetric key matrix generators, thus eliminating external validation. Rigorous testing has confirmed OMTAP's robustness and broad applicability, thereby ensuring that decrypted images maintain their quality with a peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of 40 dB and full integrity at the receiver's end. © 2024 American institute of Mathematical sciences. In the pursuit of developing more effective vaccines against viruses like SARS-CoV-2, understanding their potential mutations is crucial. In order to generate protein sequences, this study presents a unique framework that synergistically blends phylogenetic data with Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). The proposed method combines the strengths of two models: TEMPO, a transformer-based model proficient in leveraging phylogenetic data for mutation detection in SARS-CoV-2, and MutaGAN, a GAN-based model adept in generating synthetic protein sequences. The phylogenetic data from TEMPO is used in this novel design as the input for the MutaGAN generator, replacing the conventional random noise input used in GANs. The generator may now create synthetic protein sequences that are impacted by the evolutionary past included in the phylogenetic data resulting in the creation of artificial protein sequences that are more biologically significant and lifelike. The discriminator portion of the model, similar to MutaGAN, is still in charge of determining whether or not the input sequences comprise a valid parent-child pair and uses sequences produced by the first GAN as extra negative cases. This prevented the model from going too far off its planned route. Additional investigation into this fascinating confluence of bioinformatics and AI may be possible as a result of this study's conclusions. This approach has tremendous promise in many applications, such as the production of more powerful vaccinations, protein engineering, medication design, and improving our knowledge of biological systems, by forecasting how SARS-CoV-2 could change. A precision of 0.662 and an accuracy of around 0.671, together with a Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC) score of 0.313, show that the framework performs very well. Autism is a personality disorder that can cause significant emotional, intellectual, and behavioral deficits. Autism is recognized as an illness on the spectrum because, while certain kids might have mild symptoms, others may have extensive life-challenging abnormalities. However, autistic people have unique characteristics and health goals and may react differently to conventional or herbal therapy than others. Herbal medications might be a possible approach to helping autistic people's bodies and brains. However, further research is needed to determine whether herbal therapy is useful for autistic individuals. To gain insight into how people think regarding herbal medication for autism, data must be processed promptly as it is generated, which may be accomplished using sentiment assessment, which analyzes polarization in writings. This paper proposes the AGLSTM Model, a hybrid model that solves the sentiment evaluation issue by combining LSTM with agglomerative clustering. The suggested system signifies text data into numerical vectors that illustrate text features such as the frequency of words and embeddings of phrases using the TF-IDF technique and the word2vec model. Every word becomes assigned to a cluster using a method known as clustering based on how similar it is to the cluster nucleus or other texts in the region. The outcome of the experiment is a set of clusters composed of sentences with comparable emotional content. The LSTM framework can detect long-term correlations between word patterns and classify feedback as positive or negative. © 2023 IEEE.

In our daily lives, sentiment analysis is essential. People usually make decisions after seeking advice from others. We used to rely on our judgments before the internet on the advice of our friends and relatives. But now, we have high-performance source sentiment analysis, which collects and analyses opinions from a variety of channels, including social media. To correctly represent emotion in a phrase, we must concentrate on idioms, sarcasm, negations, and context terms. A range of deep learning and machine learning techniques can be used to overcome the aforementioned issues. The aforementioned parameter will be used by the algorithm to identify the polarity of a statement. This study proposal covers the problems with sentiment analysis as well as its numerous levels. The review talks about the challenges and particularities of sentiment analysis. These have to do with issues like textual information, peculiarities of language, emotional vocabulary relevant to particular domains, and security and confidentiality of data. The report also emphasizes how sentiment analysis might promote public healthcare initiatives, boost pharmaceutical methods for making choices, as well as improve patient care. © 2023 IEEE.
