In this paper, a deceptive signal-assisted private split learning is investigated. In our model, several edge devices jointly perform collaborative training, and some eavesdroppers aim to collect the model and data information from devices. To prevent the eavesdropper from collecting model and data information, a subset of devices can transmit deceptive signals. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the subset of devices used for deceptive signal transmission, the subset of model training devices, and the models assigned to each model training device. This problem is formulated as an optimization problem whose goal is to minimize the eavesdropped information while meeting the model training energy consumption and delay constraints. To solve this problem, we propose an actor-critic deep reinforcement learning (AC-DRL) framework that enables a centralized agent to dynamically determine the model training devices, the deceptive signal transmission devices, the transmit power, and sub-models assigned to each model training device while considering network topology and device properties (e.g., energy and privacy constraints). The proposed AC-DRL framework integrates an actor network to generate optimal actions and a critic network to stabilize the learning process by evaluating the cumulative rewards. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method improves the convergence rate by 3× and the accumulated reward by up to 40% compared with the proximal policy optimization (PPO) algorithm. © 2025 IEEE.

This paper explores the evolving landscape of Electromyogram (EMG) signal analysis, focusing on the growing prominence of deep learning (DL) algorithms for hand, wrist, and finger movement recognition. Such algorithms often come with high computational costs, potentially limiting the clinical translation on resource-limited devices and igniting more research on reduced complexity models. This prompts the question: is it time to shift the algorithmic focus in EMG pattern recognition, given the reported performance of some light-weight traditional or hybrid methods emphasizing synergy between different EMG signals? A comparative study is implemented between state-of-the-art deep learning extension for time series classification, denoted as Random Convolutional Kernel Transform (ROCKET), and simple, yet effective pattern recognition methods tailored to exploit basic forms of EMG signal synergies - Waveform Length Phasors (WLPHASOR), Root-Mean-Squared Phasor (RMSPHASOR), and the proposed novel Multi-Signal Waveform Length (MSWL). Tests are conducted on EMG data from 22 participants performing 11 hand and wrist movements using two EMG armbands (10 and 8 channels, respectively), utilizing the open-source LibEMG toolbox. Preliminary findings suggest that, while DL algorithms exhibit formidable capabilities, the performance gap with traditional EMG feature extraction methods may not be as substantial as anticipated. The observations of this study revealed no significant differences in average accuracies between ROCKET, WLPHASOR, and RMSPHASOR (87% average across participants). Furthermore, MSWL significantly enhances performance to 90%, and the combination of ROCKET+MSWL achieves 91% on average across all subjects. These findings challenge the narrative of DL dominance in EMG pattern recognition, urging a re-evaluation of the algorithmic focus and contributing valuable insights to the debate on information extraction from EMG signals. © 2024 IEEE.

The study presented here consists of an entire framework for prediction of consumers behavior through the machine training of supervised learning methods. The strategy involves the following: data collection, preprocessing, exploration, feature selection, model selection, training, evaluation, interpretation and deployment. The systematic process is tailored to clear the pathway for combining data about customer taste, sophisticated habits, and purchasing trends. Primary components include data preprocessing, training of machine learning models, feature selection, and ethical issues regarding data privacy and transparency. The outcomes of the implementation are a high accuracy in consumers clustering, efficient classification of customers' behavior, as well as unveiling a bunch of crucial predictors that affect the customers mood and behavior. As a result, the report stresses the necessity of integrated monitoring and redirection strategies to realize the potential of the created models. The idea of predictive analysis as an evolving tool that enables marketers to tailor their campaigns more closely, and improve the overall customer experience therefore also receives attention. The proposed system methodology constitutes a solid process framework for business defined to aim at using predictive analytics to gain competitive edge in the current dynamic marketplace. © 2024 IEEE.

Blockchain technology represents a modern supply chain management revolution which fixes operational challenges while providing enhanced transparency at reduced costs. The research develops HB-SCOF (Hybrid Blockchain-Enabled Supply Chain Optimization Framework) which combines blockchain self-verification databases with automatic smart contracts to maintain continuous supply chain observation and evaluate data credibility. The framework integrates tamper-proof transaction tracking mechanisms with unified supply chain network connectivity for securing data transmission as a trust delivery method through unbreakable shared databases. The retail-industry case study demonstrated a 25% decrease in expenses stemming from agency elimination alongside enhanced flow management and better stock distribution. The system demonstrates its effectiveness through assessments of key performance indicators including transaction speed and data accuracy together with business cost efficiency. This part looks at implementation methods through training stakeholders in addition to transforming organizational policies which produce successful outcomes. Blockchain technology labs verify its capability to enhance supply chain management efficiency while showing realistic deployment methods. © 2025 IEEE.

One of the most important aspects of environmental sustainability is water quality monitoring. The ecology is impacted by poor water quality in addition to aquatic life. With the volume of data being collected from satellite systems, the issue of effectively and automatically extracting water bodies is growing more pressing. One of the most important things to do for managing and safeguarding water resources is to conduct extensive monitoring of water quality parameters, or WQPs. It is still difficult to monitor optically inactive WQPs in inland waters, such as total nitrogen (TN), ammoniacal nitrogen (AN), and total phosphorus (TP). Water quality (WQ) classification and prediction can be greatly enhanced with the use of artificial intelligence (AI). This research proposes novel method in healthcare detection by water quality analysis based on classification utilising ML model. Input is collected as healthcare dataset based on water quality as well as processed for noise removal and normalisation. The processed data features are extracted and classified utilising reinforcement Gaussian stacked layer network with variational fuzzy Markov basis neural network. In order to suggest best course of action for the water bodies, it is imperative that any study look into the spatiotemporal changes of the dominant water quality parameters (WQPs). WQP concentrations have typically been determined by extensive fieldwork. These findings could help identify and regulate non-point source pollution, offer a large-scale spatial picture of the water quality, and pinpoint vulnerable locations and times of water pollution. Experimental analysis is carried out for various water sample dataset in terms of detection accuracy, mean precision, recall, F-1 score and AUC. The proposed technique obtained 97% of detection accuracy, 95% of recall, 91% of F-1 score, 96% of AUC, and 94% of MAP. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) contains spatially distributed sensor nodes that collaborate with each other. However, the WSN is susceptible since the wireless medium is unpredictable. Several conventional approaches are used to distinguish the abnormal in the WSN, and all have difficulties. An Extended Kalman Filter Algorithm (EKFA) to detect false inject data in WSN is proposed in this paper. It addresses two issues such as abnormality recognition and obstacle detection. It also distinguishes false insert data. Particularly, it observes neighbors' behaviors and then applying EKFA to forecast their future states. The node behavior is observed by incorporating abnormal node examination and system examination elements. The Path Optimization Method (POM) is a shortest route that is used to discover the obstacle in the WSN. The EKFA mechanism minimizes the forwarder count and delay by applying POM. Simulation results demonstrate that the EKFA approach enhances abnormal node detection and minimizes the false negative ratio. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, a large number of image compressive sensing (CS) methods with deep unfolding networks (DUNs) have been proposed. However, existing methods either use fixed-scale blocks for sampling that leads to limited insights into the image content or employ a plain convolutional neural network (CNN) in each iteration that weakens the perception of broader contextual prior. In this paper, we propose a novel DUN (dubbed SVASNet) for image compressive sensing, which achieves scale-variable adaptive sampling and hybrid-attention Transformer reconstruction with a single model. Specifically, for scale-variable sampling, a sampling matrix-based calculator is first employed to evaluate the reconstruction distortion, which only requires measurements without access to the ground truth image. Then, a Block Scale Aggregation (BSA) strategy is presented to compute the reconstruction distortion under block divisions at different scales and select the optimal division scale for sampling. To realize hybrid-attention reconstruction, a dual Cross Attention (CA) submodule in the gradient descent step and a Spatial Attention (SA) submodule in the proximal mapping step are developed. The CA submodule introduces inter-phase inertial forces in the gradient descent, which improves the memory effect between adjacent iterations. The SA submodule integrates local and global prior representations of CNN and Transformer, and explores local and global affinities between dense feature representations. Extensive experimental results show that the proposed SVASNet achieves significant improvements over the state-of-the-art methods. © 1999-2012 IEEE.

Vehicle detection and counting using OpenCV is a crucial aspect of modern traffic management systems. This mini project aims to develop a robust solution for detecting vehicles in real-time video streams and accurately counting them as they pass through a designated area. OpenCV, a popular computer vision library, is utilized for its extensive functionality and ease of implementation. First, the video stream is captured and processed to extract individual frames. Subsequently, each frame undergoes preprocessing techniques such as resizing, grayscale conversion, and noise reduction to enhance vehicle detection accuracy. Vehicle detection is achieved through the implementation of a deep learning- based object detection algorithm, such as YOLO (You Only Look Once) or SSD (Single Shot MultiBox Detector). These algorithms are trained on large datasets to recognize vehicles with high precision. Once vehicles are detected, a tracking algorithm is employed to maintain continuity between frames and accurately count the number of vehicles passing through the specified region of interest. This tracking algorithm ensures that vehicles are not double-counted and provides a reliable count for traffic analysis purposes. © 2025 IEEE.

Accident assessments for insurance companies are currently conducted manually, which can be time-consuming and prone to human error. The proposed method seeks to automate this process, aiming to save time and enhance accuracy. This paper introduces an innovative approach to analyzing object damage by leveraging the advanced YOLOv5 (You Only Look One Level) deep learning architecture. The research is meticulously crafted to address the imperative need for robust and precise detection and classification of damaged objects in images, crucial for effective assessment of structural and environmental integrity. Leveraging the unparalleled real-time object detection capabilities of YOLOv5, the framework is finely tuned and trained on a comprehensive dataset encompassing diverse scenarios of damaged objects. Through exhaustive experimentation and validation, our methodology demonstrates substantial advancements, offering unparalleled efficiency and accuracy in the domain of object damage analysis. The findings of this study hold significant implications for a broad spectrum of applications, ranging from infrastructure monitoring to disaster response, underscoring the transformative potential of deep learning in enhancing critical assessment processes.

Finding oil spills in the ocean is one of the most crucial tasks in preserving our ecosystem. Using satellite or aerial photographs as input to a deep learning model that makes use of 2D CNN (Convolution Neural Network) and GAN (Generative Adversarial Network). Deep learning assists in automatically detecting oil spills in the ocean. A strong model that may be applied to volumetric data is 2D CNN. To protect the environment and its biodiversity, it is critical to identify and minimize oil spills in delicate maritime environments. Conventional techniques for tracking oil spills in satellite imagery sometimes depend on labor-intensive, human error-prone manual inspection. When deep learning models are taught with a lot of data, they perform well. The Gathering of datasets, however the situation proved to be challenging. As a result, employing Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) to produce new photos by utilizing preexisting ones. As a result, by giving the model a suitable number of photos to use for training and testing, it improves accuracy.
