Time delay analysis is very crucial when it comes to the synchronization of chaotic systems. All practical dynamical systems are described by differential equations, hence the presence of time delay in dynamics becomes a pivotal part of the system analysis. So, in this article, an attempt has been made to study the synchronization problem of two identical same-ordered time-delayed chaotic systems, in strict-feedback form as described in (2) and (3) in master and slave configuration. Unlike other conventional nonlinear control techniques, the back-stepping control design strategy is used to serve the purpose of synchronization. The main advantage of using the back-stepping control technique is that it utilizes only a single scalar controller to attain synchronization among different chaotic systems. A generalized control function u∈ R is designed for the same. For verification of the theoretical results, the 3D time-delayed Genesio-Tesi chaotic system is considered both a master and slave system. Simulation results are provided to support the proposition. © 2023 IEEE.

Detecting targets in infrared ship images is crucial for various applications, such as maritime rescue and ship inspection. Training contemporary mainstream detection and segmentation models, however, requires large-scale, high-quality infrared ship image datasets. In open-world maritime confrontation scenarios, the complex and variable environment, scarcity of target ships, and limited acquisition conditions make it challenging to construct high-quality infrared ship image datasets. To address this issue, this paper proposes an unpaired visible-infrared ship image translation model based on CycleGAN, named Fuzzy-Cycle. The model introduces a fuzzy cycle loss to encourage the model to learn feature mapping rules between different domains while minimizing attention to unnecessary features. Additionally, the method employs U-Net as the generator network to retain shallow image features during upsampling and selects PatchGAN as the discriminator network, embedding Haar wavelet transform to enhance the discriminator's ability to analyze image frequency domain features. Experiments on the VAIS dataset demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms mainstream unpaired image transfer models, showing excellent performance in the task of visible-infrared ship image translation. Furthermore, zero-shot image translation experiments on the HRSC2016 dataset prove the generalizability and reliability of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

This article delves into the synergistic potential of integrating Bipolar DC distribution grids, Probabilistic EV load demand forecasting, and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology. It offers a blueprint for electric vehicle (EV) users to smartly improve their financial results. Through the amalgamation of these components, individuals who possess electric vehicles have the potential to mitigate their energy expenditures while concurrently generating additional income. The study reveals that the integration of EV into the distribution system can lead to a substantial increase in daily energy loss, reaching up to 25.91%. However, when V2G technology is employed within the distribution grid, it has the remarkable capability to mitigate this increase in daily energy loss significantly, achieving a reduction of up to 64.12%. © 2024 IEEE.

With the widespread use of power electronic equipment, accurately identifying soft faults in power electronic converters is crucial for the stable and reliable operation of power electronic equipment. This paper proposed a soft fault diagnosis method for three-phase DC/AC converter using a data-based approach. Firstly, simulation analysis is conducted on the soft faults of three-phase DCI AC converter, and appropriate test signals are selected as data sources. Then, the LSTM neural network and its variants are used to obtain fault diagnosis models. Finally, the method is validated through experiments, and the results show that it has good performance in soft fault diagnosis of the three-phase DCI AC converter. © 2024 IEEE.

Data augmentation method for light guide plate based on improved CycleGAN

An improved CycleGAN network method for defect data augmentation based on feature fusion and self attention residual module is proposed to address the insufficiency of defect sample data for light guide plate(LGP) in production， as well as the problem of minor defects. Two optimizations are made to the generator of CycleGAN: 1) Fusion of low resolution features obtained from partial up-sampling and down-sampling with high-resolution features. 2) Combine self attention mechanism with residual network structure to replace the original residual module. Qualitative and quantitative experiments were conducted to compare different data augmentation methods， and the results showed that the defect images of the LGP generated by the improved network were more realistic， and the accuracy of the YOLOv5 detection network for the LGP was improved by 5.6%， proving the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method.

This paper mainly focuses on the target assignment problems in the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) swarm combat. Firstly, the idea of the multi-UAV swarm combat is shown and the constraints and the benefit matrix of the target assignment task are modeled. Secondly, a fixed-time consensus protocol is utilized to estimate the state of all the other agents and its convergence is proved by Lyapunov method. Then, a distributed compensation auction algorithm is proposed. Finally, the proposed distributed compensation auction algorithm is simulated and the results demonstrate the successful completion of the assignment task with only neighboring information. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

This paper investigates the problem of specific-time state estimation for Lur'e systems with unknown inputs. By analyzing nonlinear Lur'e systems, sufficient conditions for the design of unknown input observers are provided. Then, a specific-time observer is designed, with convergence analysis illustrated. The main advantage of the designed observer can realize accurate estimation of Lur'e system in specific time. Finally, a simulation example of the third-order Chua's circuit is conducted to verify the validity of the proposed specific-time unknown input observer. © 2023 IEEE.
