Grip strength forecast and rehabilitative guidance based on adaptive neural fuzzy inference system using sEMG

In order to resolve the problem of unstable control of force in human–computer interaction based on surface EMG signals, the adaptive neural fuzzy inference system is designed to achieve the grip strength assessment. As we know, the acquisition of surface EMG signal is non-invasive, which provides a better evaluation index for rehabilitation training in the medical process. By establishing the relationship between grip force and surface electromechanical signals, the effect of rehabilitation training can be evaluated directly while reducing the types of sensors used. Firstly, the experimental equipment are introduced, which are utilized to carry out simultaneous acquisition of surface EMG signals and forces. Then, the traditional features of sEMG and the corresponding algorithms are illustrated, based on this, supplementing the energy eigenvalue with wavelet analysis and fuzzy entropy. In which, fuzzy entropy is effective in characterizing muscle fatigue that can effectively reduce the impact of muscle fatigue on force assessment. Finally, combining fuzzy logic implication and neural network, the adaptive neural fuzzy inference system is designed, which is trained by extracted feature vectors. The experimental result shows the method used in this paper can effectively predict the grip force. Further, force prediction based on sEMG can be used to guide rehabilitation therapy in virtual space, combined with an electrical stimulator. © 2019, Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature.

In order to improve the accuracy and rapidity of risk early warning of active distribution network, this paper adopts the idea of data mining and proposes an improved Apriori algorithm for early warning of risks in the distribution network. This method takes weather, risk equipment and risk reasons as the research objects, and through mathematical analysis, proposes an improved Apriori algorithm based on seasonal classification, which greatly improves the efficiency of the algorithm, thus improving the response speed of the risk early warning system. At the same time, a failure mode library of typical environmental scenarios has been established, and enumerate the algorithm flow. The display interface of the system is designed and developed, so that the matching information is displayed in a separate display interface. Through the example analysis, not only the feasibility of the algorithm is verified, but also the readability of the risk warning data is improved, which has a guiding significance for the actual engineering construction. © 2021 IEEE

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a powerful imaging sensor capable of operating in any weather and at any time, despite its image interpretation poses challenges. Translating SAR images to optical (S2O) can serve as a beneficial supplement for target detection, image alignment, and image fusion. The existing S2O translation employs solely unsupervised or supervised techniques. However, the supervised method requires a substantial quantity of aligned data support, while the unsupervised method fails to guarantee the quality of image generation. This research presents a novel semi-supervised S2O generating approach that can obtain domain-level and pixel-level mapping relationships. A dual-branch cycle consistency loss has been developed to independently constrain supervised and unsupervised modules. To improve global and sparsity feature extraction, the generator combines sliding dilated convolution with multi-respective parallel branching. Using just 1100 pairs of training sets, extensive experiments have demonstrated that the suggested strategy outperforms baseline methods in both subjective and objective standards. Where FID is optimized by 23.41%, 49.25%, 48.57%, 16.73%, and 42.32% on the five land classes. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Addressing the challenge of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) navigating indoors without satellite positioning, this study introduces a novel method combining binocular camera and inertial measurement unit (IMU) data. This approach overcomes the structural differences between visual and inertial information, integrating them effectively for enhanced indoor autonomous navigation. The research presents a gradient-free path planning framework, pivotal for enhancing the UAV's ability to execute efficient and stable flight in intricate indoor settings. The cornerstone of this system is an advanced path planning algorithm, adept at swiftly identifying optimal routes and adapting to environmental shifts. The system's efficacy was rigorously evaluated through simulations and real-world tests, confirming its precision in positioning and path planning without reliance on satellite data. The findings demonstrate the system's capacity for precise localization and effective route determination, utilizing an integration of visual and inertial inputs. This research significantly contributes to the autonomous flight capabilities of UAVs, offering a valuable reference for future UAV autonomous navigation systems. By delving into visual-inertial fusion navigation technology, the study paves the way for expanded indoor UAV applications.

La0.8Sr0.2CrO3-ITO thermocouples were successfully fabricated by screen printing. The La0.8Sr0.2CrO3 powder used for screen printing was obtained by the sol-gel method. The highest thermal voltage output was maintained at 270 mV at 1270°C. The microstructure of La0.8Sr0.2CrO3 and ITO electrode films were analysed by SEM. Thermoelectric response test was implemented to measure the performance of La0.8Sr0.2CrO3-ITO thermocouple by three times of thermal cycles. The results indicated that La0.8Sr0.2CrO3-ITO thermocouple showed good stability at high temperature. Copyright © 2022 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

In recent years, intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs) have developed quickly and have been progressively introduced into the international market. Nevertheless, the operation of ICVs produces a large amount of important data coming from driving vehicle and necessitating cross-border transit. As the imperfections of the regulatory framework and the infancy of protective solutions for the ICV data, these data are vulnerable to the threats like eavesdropping and tampering during cross-border transmission. The private information, especially the data barred from leaving the country, will be probably leaked to other nations, endangering individual privacy and national security. Thus, the purpose of this manuscript is to analyze the security risks of cross-border data in ICVs and provide risk mitigation strategies. The legal requirements and pertinent cross-border materials need to be sorted out firstly to establish a thorough technical process for cross-border compliance of ICV data. Additionally, the ICV data risk analyses will be performed at every stage of the cross-border process. Furthermore, some efficient risk mitigation methods need to be offered to improve the security and dependability of the across-border data of ICVs. To address the problems associated with cross-border data pertaining to ICVs, a classification method for the cross-border data of ICVs will be presented according to current rules and data categorization schemes. Finally, this manuscript provides theoretical underpinnings and useful references for building a cross-border data security protection system, as well as a thorough analysis of the development patterns of cutting-edge technologies for cross-border data.

Limited reliability data during the development of cruise ship automation systems often leads to subjective weight allocation. This paper proposes an reliability allocation method based on the Bayesian best-worst method and analytic hierarchy process to address this challenge. By considering the system reliability indices, influencing factors, and units need to be allocated, a hierarchical model is established for reliability allocation based on the analytic hierarchy process. The Bayesian best-worst method compares elements in each layer, generating best and worst matrices based on decision-makers. These matrices determine optimal weights for each layer’s elements. The analytic hierarchy process determines relative importance weights among the system reliability index, influencing factors, and units. Consequently, the derived optimal weights are converted into allocation factors, which enable the allocation of reliability for cruise ship automation systems. This fusion-based approach presents a novel and effective method for optimizing reliability allocation during the development stage of complex systems.

Energy losses during the conversion and supply of electric power are considered a significant issue and cannot be estimated. Improvement in the efficiency of energy conversion systems is highly restricted because of their internal nonlinearity and complexity. Thus, inspired by the successful utilization of robotic chemists, we demonstrate a pioneering concept of artificial intelligence (AI)-aided automatic online real-time optimization of a power electronics converter using a dual active bridge (DAB) converter as an example. An optimal modulation strategy was obtained through repeated automatic exploration experiments on a practical DAB converter platform. Specifically, the DAB experimental platform operated autonomously around the clock for approximately 71 h. It performed 120,000 consecutive experiments (12,000 episodes) within a six-variable experimental space driven by a deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) algorithm. The proposed AI-aided automatic online real-time optimization method achieved significantly improved efficiency of power conversion and supply. Consequently, zero carbon emissions may be obtained in the future. © 2023

Aiming at the difficulty in decision-making of coordinated power allocation of multiple wind-solar storage micro-grids, a power allocation control strategy for virtual synchronous machines in parallel is proposed considering the wind-solar capacity of each micro-grid. First, lithium batteries and Super capacitor are introduced to stabilize fluctuations to achieve DC bus voltage regulation in the micro-grid, and then according to the different wind and solar capacities in each micro-grid, the inverters are controlled by virtual synchronous machine multi-machine parallel adaptive power distribution to achieve real-time Finally, the validity of the proposed control strategy is verified through the analysis of computing power. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

To overcome the disadvantages of the existing inertial stabilization platform such as large interference for using mechanical bearings, high difficulty for using air/liquid bearings and poor linearity for using magnetic resistance magnetic bearings, a new Lorentz inertial stability platform (LISP) based on Lorentz force deflection magnetic bearing is proposed. To suppress the influence of coupling effect and load-bearing friction resonance interference on the high-frequency attitude compensation control of the platform deflection channel, a digital control scheme based on LESO-PID combined with Kalman filter (KF) feedback is proposed. According to the structural characteristics of rotor tilt supported by Lorentz force magnetic bearing (LFMB), a dynamics model for LISP deflection is established;the tilting relationship of two radial channels is analyzed with the established model, and the linear extended state observer (LESO) and Kalman filter feedback control is introduced into PID controller to suppress friction resonance interference and coupling effects;a digital control system based on DSP and FPGA is construed, and the control method is digitalized in a discrete form. The stability of the proposed control method is analyzed by logarithmic frequency characteristic criterion and Nichols curve, and the stabilities of the rotor deflection channel before and after importing LESO-Kalman are compared through simulation. Experimental results show that with traditional PID, the rotor system causes serious distortion at high frequency, while the system reduces noise and interference greatly after importing LESO-Kalman control. Meanwhile, the internal state parameters of the system can be monitored in real time. Experimental results verify the effectiveness of proposed control method to suppress the frictional resonance interference and coupling effects. © 2022, Editorial Board of JBUAA. All right reserved.
