With the installation and use of large-scale photovoltaic systems around the world, the detection of photovoltaic system operation and maintenance has become increasingly important. This research uses a convolutional neural network training model to detect and classify the infrared near-field images of photovoltaic modules from small-scale photovoltaic plants in the laboratory. This model classifies the images into two categories: with and without hot spots, with a classification accuracy of 96.58%. The experimental results show that the convolutional neural network training model has a good classification result. © 2022 institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

The welded joints of Cr35Ni45Nb cracking furnace tubes often crack and fail under the effect of residual welding stress, causing large economic losses. In this paper, a finite element model of a Cr35Ni45Nb cracking furnace tube with an outer diameter of 88 mm and a wall thickness of 7 mm is established, and a double ellipsoidal heat source is used to apply the load. Use Python language to write the life and death unit to carry out the secondary development of ABAQUS to simulate the generation process of solder in the welding process. The laser power is selected as the independent variable, and the sequential coupling method is used to analyse the influence of temperature and residual stress on it during the welding process. The research results show that the higher the laser power, the temperature reached on the weld area will also be higher. The largest axial residual stress appears in the area away from the weld, and the largest circumferential residual stress appears on the outer surface of the weld. Aiming at the fact that most simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) methods are fragile in dynamic environment, a static feature point extraction algorithm for visual-inertial SLAM is proposed. Firstly, the distance from feature matching to transformation matrix is calculated by cleverly combining inertial measurement unit (IMU) data and visual information. Secondly, a static probability model for distinguishing feature point categories is established based on the binomial logistic regression model. These categorical feature points are used in subsequent algorithms to select more stable data associations. Finally, the algorithm is integrated into the ORBSLAM-3 system, and extensive experiments are performed on the OpenLORIS-Scene public dataset and real world to verify the performance of the integrated system. The results show our algorithm not only maintains the high-precision localization performance of the original system in the static environment, but also improves the localization accuracy of the original system in the dynamic environment.

Strongly scattering media disrupt both the wavefront distribution and the polarization state of the incident light field. controlling and effectively utilizing depolarization effects are crucial for optical applications in highly scattering environments, such as imaging through dense fog. However, current simulation models have difficulty simulating the evolution of vector light fields within scattering media, posing challenges for studying vector light fields in strongly scattering environments. Here, we propose the Vector Angular Spectrum (VAS) model for simulating the propagation of vector light fields within scattering media. By introducing the angular spectrum distribution of vector light scattering and polarization conversion mechanisms, this model can simulate the depolarization effects of vector light propagating through strongly scattering media. The VAS model has also been used to investigate the focusing of vector scattered light through scattering media. Furthermore, the simulation results of the model have been validated through experiments. The proposed VAS model is expected to play a role in the theoretical research of vector scattered light and optical applications in strongly scattering environments. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. Suction is a common way for robots to pick objects in industry, which has higher stability and reliability. However, it is necessary to evaluate the suction position on the object's surface when dealing with objects of different shapes. The previous method decouples it into a two-stage suction point detection and objects classification process, making the task more complex and time-consuming. On the other hand, there are significant challenges in acquiring training data. To address that, we propose an object instance segmentation-based suction grasping point detection method. Instance segmentation, as an object pixel-level perception method, can classify objects and find the orientation of objects in the plane, which is more efficient than simple classification. Specifically, our method generate a suction heatmap and object instance segmentation from RGB-D inputs and find the suction grasping position of each object after candidate points screening. To generate the training data, a heatmap mask based on 2D Gaussian-encoded is used to annotate the suction grasping ground truth. We evaluate each object's predicted suction grasping point results and conduct grasping experiments in real environments. The suction grasping success rate of 94% in dense scenes demonstrates the remarkable performance of the proposed method. © 2022 IEEE.

In this work, a microwave photonic prototype for concurrent radar detection and spectrum sensing is proposed, designed, built, and investigated. A direct digital synthesizer and an analog electronic circuit are integrated to generate an intermediate frequency (IF) linearly frequency-modulated (LFM) signal with a tunable center frequency from 2.5 to 9.5 GHz and an instantaneous bandwidth of 1 GHz. The IF LFM signal is converted to the optical domain via an intensity modulator and then filtered by a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) to generate only two 2nd-order optical LFM sidebands. In radar detection, the two optical LFM sidebands beat with each other to generate a frequency-and-bandwidth-quadrupled LFM signal, which is used for ranging, radial velocity measurement, and imaging. By changing the center frequency of the IF LFM signal, the radar function can be operated within 8 to 40 GHz. In spectrum sensing, one 2nd-order optical LFM sideband is selected by another FBG, which then works in conjunction with the stimulated Brillouin scattering gain spectrum to map the frequency of the signal under test to time with an instantaneous measurement bandwidth of 2 GHz. By using a frequency shift module to adjust the pump frequency, the frequency measurement range can be adjusted from 0 to 40 GHz. The prototype is comprehensively studied and tested, which is capable of achieving a range resolution of 3.75 cm, a range error of less than ±2 cm, a radial velocity error within ±1 cm/s, delivering clear imaging of multiple small targets, and maintaining a frequency measurement error of less than ±7 MHz and a frequency resolution of better than 20 MHz. As the core equipment of the energy internet, the energy router (ER) plays an important role in basic equipment energy regulation, renewable energy access, energy information collection, etc. This paper introduces a three-layer architecture of energy router, which includes aggregation service layer, optimization control layer and control execution layer. This paper mainly studies the internal energy management strategy of the energy router, proposes an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm and verifies the solution performance of this algorithm, and applies it to the internal energy management of the energy router to improve the economic efficiency and reduce the loss of the microgrid, and realize the optimal operation of the upper, middle and lower layers. The experimental results verify the effectiveness of the coordination control and energy management strategy of the algorithm, and show that the energy router has satisfactory performance.

In the calibration process of multi-camera system with large field of view, aiming at the problem of self occlusion in the plane calibration method and the problem of low calibration accuracy of one-dimensional calibration methods, a calibration method of multi-camera system based on the combination of plane target and one-dimensional target is proposed. Firstly, a mathematical model of multi-camera calibration is established with pin-hole model and rigid body transformation theory; the internal parameters and distortion coefficients of each camera are calibrated by two-dimensional plane target; on this basis, analyze the uncertainty of imaging error of circular feature points, cost function of random sample consensus algorithm(RANSAC) is improved. Using the camera imaging model, the essential matrix between cameras is estimated, and the initial value of camera external parameters is decomposed and determined; lastly, multiple nonlinear optimization algorithms are used to refine and obtain the camera matrix, The simulation and actual experimental results show that the multi camera system combination calibration method proposed in this paper can realize the parameter calibration of four camera measurement system, and the measurement space is 2000mm×2000mm×2000mm, the 3D reconstruction error is less than 0.15mm. Compared with the traditional calibration method, it has more accurate calibration accuracy.

This article presents a novel distributed forward stimulated Brillouin scattering measurement scheme on polarization maintaining fiber (PM fiber) with a spatial resolution of 0.8 m named polarization separation assisted opto-mechanical time-domain analysis (PS-OMTDA). The activation pulse is injected into the fast axis and the probe pulse and probe wave is injected into the slow one, therefore, the acoustic wave is excited upon the fast axis but affected the probe wave on the slow axis. The backward Brillouin scattering of an activation pulse is effectively suppressed by isolating the acoustic activation and probing process. A spatial resolution of 80 cm is experimentally demonstrated over a PM fiber with a length of 34 m.

With the popularity of inverter-based renewable energy, the stability of low inertia and natural intermittent power generation microgrid has become an important issue, and this paper adopts a hybrid energy storage system of supercapacitors and batteries. The proposed microgrid consists of photovoltaic, tidal power unit, supercapacitor, storage battery and load. The system uses virtual synchronous generator (VSG) technology to simulate the performance of traditional synchronous generator (SG). Because of the fixed moment of inertia and damping coefficient of traditional synchronous generator, the dynamic adjustment ability of grid-connected system is not good. By discussing the mathematical model of the converter, an adaptive inertia control strategy is proposed. This strategy can adjust the inertia in real time when VSG angular velocity deviation is large, optimize the moment of inertia of VSG, and reduce the overshoot of the system. Finally, the whole system is modeled and simulated by MATLABTM platform. The simulation results show that the dynamic response of the adaptive VSG control strategy is good, which demonstrates the effectiveness and superiority of the improved strategy.
