Despite strong interest in cloth simulation on the one hand and tracking of deformable objects on the other, little effort has been put into tracking cloth motion by modelling the fabric. Here, an analysis-by-synthesis approach to tracking textiles is proposed which, by fitting a simulated textile to a set of contours, is able to reconstruct the 3D-cloth configuration. Fitting is accomplished by optimising the parameters of the mass-spring model that is used to simulate the textile as well as the positions of a limited number of constrained points. To improve tracking accuracy and to overcome the inherently chaotic behaviour of the real fabric several techniques for tracking features on the cloth's surface and the best way for them to influence the simulation are evaluated.

Electronic commerce was featured by lowcost, no limitation of scale, electronic payment and easy collection and management of customer information. On the basis of analyzing the weakness of traditional place model, the processes and advantages of direct place and indirect place under the environment of electronic commerce were advanced. Decision-making model for both internet and marketers were constructed. Solutionalgorithm to this equilibrium problem was presented and computation examples were analyzed. Association net, express net, service net and production net should be developed in order to create place advantage under the environment of electronic commerce. The results show that place advantage under the environment of electronic commerce derived from the proposed algorithm would be helpful for enterprises in supply chain.

We have created a stochastic impulse-response (IR) moment-extraction algorithm for RLCM circuit networks. It employs a newly discovered Feynman Sum-over-Paths (SoP) postulate. We report here results of an initial numerical verification, involving an uncoupled RLCM-line benchmark problem. We obtained promising results: less than 0.5% and 10% approximate l-σ error for first- and second-order IR moments, respectively, after only 10K sampled path-sum terms. We believe, in conclusion, that this type of IR-moment extraction algorithm may find useful application in a massively coupled electrical system, such as that encountered in high-end digital-IC interconnects.

The Time-Domain Finite Element Method is used extensively in areas of microwave engineering. However, TD-FEM runs too slow for some simulations to be practical, especially when run on standard personal computers. The propriety of hardware for the acceleration of TD-FEM computations has been investigated. It is well known that the key of TD-FEM is matrix operation. There always be an obstacle that the speedup of dense matrices operations in graphics Processor Units fields. This situation will be improved in next generation. Even though the presence of the obstacle, the standard consumer graphics Processor Units (GPUs) can be used to accelerate TD-FEM simulations by a factor of close to two yet, relative to an Intel CPU of similar technology generation. With OpenGL as the Application Programming Interface (API), a standard commercial graphics card has been programmed to solve a 2-D electromagnetic radiation problem.
