Over the last two years, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected hundreds of millions of people around the world. As in many crises, people turn to social media platforms, like Twitter, to communicate and share information. Twitter datasets have been used over the years in many research studies to extract valuable information. Therefore, several large COVID-19 Twitter datasets have been released over the last two years. However, none of these datasets contains only Portuguese Tweets, despite the Portuguese Language being reported as one of the top five languages used on Twitter. In this paper, we present the first large-scale Portuguese COVID-19 Twitter dataset. The dataset contains over 19 million Tweets spanning 2020 and 2021, allowing the entire pandemic to be analyzed. We also conducted a sentiment analysis on the dataset and correlated the various spikes in Tweet count and sentiment scores to various news articles and government announcements in Portugal and Brazil. The continuous scaling in semiconductor technolo- gies has allowed faster devices with lower power consumption. FinFET technology has become an attractive candidate for high-performance and power-efficient applications. This paper proposes a new defect model that could occur in FinFET technology using Self-Aligned Double Patterning (SADP) and replacement metal gate (RMG) process. This new defect was found by analyzing the impact of a single dust particle in the manufacturing process flux. A single dust particle disconnects two gate transistors from their inputs, and both the two disconnected inputs and the two disconnected gates have a zero-resistance bridge defect. The logic and delay behavior of the defect are analyzed using SPICE electrical simulator. A unique behavior is observed for the defect, whose detection can be missed by existing test generation methodologies. The test pattern conditions to detect the defect using boolean and delay test techniques are determined, showing that the defect requires specific test generation.

In this work, the possibility of formation of TiO2 coatings on Cu substrates was investigated using a pure Ti interlayer. The structure of the formed specimens was studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD), and their electrical conductance was determined using electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. During the experiments, the deposition time for the TiO2 films was varied. The results indicate that the Ti interlayer did not affect the output conductance results for the TiO2 samples. The last exhibited very low conductance similar to that of semi-conductive materials. In the case of the deposition of the TiO2 coating for the shorter time the XRD method was insufficient to determine the presence of TiO2 atop the its’ surface due to the low thickness of this layer. However, the presence of metal-oxide layers on the surface of that sample was successfully established by means of impedance measurements and electrical conductance calculations. © 2025 institute of Physics Publishing. The article discusses the typesetting and structural model of an information protection system. An algorithm for analyzing information security based on a structural model of an information security system is also presented. The goal of the work is to develop an information security analysis algorithm based on a structural model of an information security system. Methods. In order to achieve the goal, a typesetting model of an information protection system and a structural model of an information protection system were considered. The result of this work is the presentation of a fragment of the algorithm. Findings. The computer model presented in the article makes it possible to determine the value of an information system security assessment, it provides the results of security analysis in quantitative form. © 2021 IEEE.

Our paper proposes a controller for global asymptotic stabilization of a nonlinear plant by combining multiple model-predictive controllers with event-triggered control. Given a collection of operating modes, the controller drives the state of the closed-loop system to a target operating mode using a sequence of optimal input trajectories. The computation of optimal trajectories takes place at events which are triggered either when the difference between the state of the closed-loop system and the optimal state trajectory exceeds a given threshold or when an internal timer expires. We demonstrate the proposed controller through simulations by applying it to the control of modular aerial vehicles.

A serious risk to genuine organization demands is a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack. The main DDoS attack was archived in 1996, however, from that point forward, their intricacy and refinement have consistently expanded. A 2 TBps attack on a crucial foundation, including the monetary area, was accounted for in August 2020 during the Coronavirus pandemic. In the accompanying two years, it is anticipated that the number of attacks would twofold, stretching around 15 million. Since its beginning, many relief plans have been made, however, the intricacy is rising, requiring modern arrangements in view of new innovation. A potential and common-sense method for DDoS relief is blockchain. The point of the review is to give an exhaustive examination of the fundamental and intrinsic properties of blockchain, including their decentralization, inside and outer trust lessness, unchanging nature, honesty, obscurity, and evidence, which have demonstrated to be a fantastic contender for battling this destructive cyber threat.

Precision spraying in agriculture is crucial for optimizing the application of pesticides while minimizing environmental impact. Despite significant advancements in control models for spraying systems, predictive control algorithms were not used. This paper addresses this gap by proposing a real-time control framework that integrates predictive control strategies to ensure consistent pressure output in a trailer sprayer. Based on information from various sensors, the framework anticipates and adapts to dynamic environmental conditions, enhancing accuracy and sustainability in spraying practices. A methodology is developed to define a proportional valve model. Based on this valve model, the predictive control model optimizes valve movements to minimize errors between predicted and reference pressures, thereby improving spraying efficiency. This study demonstrates the viability of predictive control in improving precision spraying systems applicable to autonomous robots, encouraging future advances in agricultural spraying technologies.

With the development of information processing systems such as screen readers, the accessibility of various information to visually impaired people has been dramatically improved in recent years. In addition, InftyReader, an OCR system for mathematical expression recognition, is making it easier to access scientific documents with mathematical expressions. However, there are still large barriers for blind people to access visual information such as graphs and diagrams. In particular, it is almost impossible for blind people to generate precise figures without the assistance of sighted people. Therefore, we are developing a graphic description language available for the blind. In conventional graphic description languages, it was necessary to accurately specify the coordinates of parameters when drawing elementary shapes. By introducing an object-oriented idea, our language enables users not to specify many coordinates. We have produced an experimental drawing assistant system using our language. In this paper, we outline our language and system, and show the results of experiments which were conducted to verify the effectiveness of our system. © 2020 IEEE.

Deep Learning (DL) refers to computational models composed of multiple processing layers capable of learning representations of data with multiple levels of abstraction [1]. Since the seminal work of Lecun et al. [2] on training convolutional networks using back-propagation and gradient-based optimization, DL has outperformed other machine learning techniques in many domains of science and industry. Hinton et al. [3], achieved breakthrough on the task of automatic speech recognition, the first major DL industrial application. DL has achieved great success in recognition tasks within a wide range of applications including computer vision (images, videos), natural language processing (text), bioinformatics, to mention a few. © 2019 Association for Computing Machinery.
