Ubiquitous computing supports U-learning to develop and implement a new educational environment that provides effective and interactive learning to students wherever they *** study aims to present a qualitative evaluation for using U-learning instead of traditional education to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus *** authors introduce a UTAUT(Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology)model to assess the capability of the given factors that are expected to affect the learners’intention and behavior for accepting the U-learning technology for full *** research study shows a promising impact on the use of U-learning apps for implementing their learning activities in both the present and coming *** study also presents the descriptive statistics that affect the students’answers by using U-learning while implementing learning assignments including exams,projects,forums,essays,presentations,and *** research experiments demonstrate both the composite reliability(CR)and the average variance extracted(AVE)of the presented *** experimental results have shown that(1)the factor loadings≥0.75,CR≥0.9,and AVE≥0.75,which present appropriate proof for the validity and reliability of the proposed model,and(2)the total average of students that accept the U-learning is 82.99%,and who disagree is 8.13%,while who neither agree nor disagree is 6.44%.

Sequential recommendation aims to identify and recommend the next few items of users' interest. It becomes an effective tool to help users select their favorite items from a variety of options. A key challenge in sequential recommendation is to learn the patterns and dynamics, which are most pertinent to inform future interactions of users. With the prosperity of deep learning, many deep models, particularly based on recurrent neural networks [1] and with attention mechanisms [2] , [3] , have been developed for sequential recommendation purposes. However, our analysis demonstrates that, these deep models, particularly those with attention mechanisms, may not always learn meaningful attention weights from the extremely sparse recommendation data, and thus, could degrade the recommendation performance. Therefore, in this study, instead of deep models, we develop novel, effective and efficient hybrid associations models (HAM) to better learn from the sparse and limited recommendation data. Irregular boundaries in image stitching naturally occur due to freely moving *** deal with this problem,existing methods focus on optimizing mesh warping to make boundaries regular using the traditional explicit ***,previous methods always depend on hand-crafted features(e.g.,keypoints and line segments).Thus,failures often happen in overlapping regions without distinctive *** this paper,we address this problem by proposing RecStitchNet,a reasonable and effective network for image stitching with rectangular *** that both stitching and imposing rectangularity are non-trivial tasks in the learning-based framework,we propose a three-step progressive learning based strategy,which not only simplifies this task,but gradually achieves a good balance between stitching and imposing *** the first step,we perform initial stitching by a pre-trained state-of-the-art image stitching model,to produce initially warped stitching results without considering the boundary ***,we use a regression network with a comprehensive objective regarding mesh,perception,and shape to further encourage the stitched meshes to have rectangular boundaries with high content ***,we propose an unsupervised instance-wise optimization strategy to refine the stitched meshes iteratively,which can effectively improve the stitching results in terms of feature alignment,as well as boundary and structure *** to the lack of stitching datasets and the difficulty of label generation,we propose to generate a stitching dataset with rectangular stitched images as pseudo-ground-truth labels,and the performance upper bound induced from the it can be broken by our unsupervised *** and quantitative results and evaluations demonstrate the advantages of our method over the state-of-the-art.

As more than 70% of reviews in the existing opinion summary data set are positive, current opinion summarization approaches are hesitant to generate negative summaries given the input of negative texts. To address such sentiment bias, a direct approach without the reliance on a specific structure is to generate additional data based on large language models to balance the emotional distribution of the dataset. However, large-scale data augmentation based on large language models faces an apparent disadvantage, the expensive costs. Therefore, in this paper, we propose LASS, a novel data augmentation framework based on both LArge and Small language models for debiaSing opinion summarization. Specifically, a small number of synthesized negative reviews is obtained by rewriting the positive text via a large language model. Then, a disentangle reconstruction model is trained based on the generated data. After training, a large amount of synthetic data can be obtained by decoding the new representation obtained from the combination of different sample representations and filtering based on perplexity degree and sentiment classification. Experiments have proved that LASS can effectively alleviate emotional bias, similar to using only large models, but in a more economical way. © 2025 Association for Computational Linguistics.

The traveling salesman problem (TSP) has been studied for many years. In particular, the multimodal optimization of the TSP is important for practical applications, because decision-makers can select the best candidate based on current conditions and requirements. In the Euclidean TSP, there are n points in R^d space with Euclidean distance between any two points, that is, d(x, y) =||x-y||_2. The goal is to find a tour of minimum length visiting each point. In this article, we only focus on the case that d=2. Recently, in order to efficiently handle the multimodal optimization of the TSP, some methods have been developed to deal with it. Nevertheless, these methods usually perform poorly for large-scale cases. In this article, we propose a niching regression adaptive memetic algorithm (MA) to handle the multimodal optimization of the Euclidean TSP. We use the MA as the baseline algorithm and incorporate the neighborhood strategy to maintain the population diversity. In addition, we design a novel regression partition initialization and adaptive parameter control to enhance our algorithm, and propose the concept of the redundant individual to improve the search efficiency. To validate the performance of the proposed algorithm, we comprehensively conduct experiments on the multimodal optimization of TSP benchmark and the well-known TSPLIB library. The experimental results reveal that the proposed method outperforms other methods, especially for large-scale cases. © 1997-2012 IEEE.

The current study focuses on the development of an open-source framework which is outsourcing the lack of expressivity of the standardized Planning Domain Definition Language – PDDL, leveraging the capacity and flexibility of the hosting environment in Python 3.8. The implementation was based on the definition and logic of a PDDL domain modeling an object stacking/collecting problem, in specified order and locations, by a fleet of autonomous synergetic vehicles by a centralized management agent. A PDDL-parser was utilized to instantiate the solver. Random changes were imposed in the fully-observable environment during mission execution. The proposed framework considered dynamic replanning of the currently valid mission, every time the state space – and consequently the corresponding state graph representation – is stochastically changed. Appropriate test scenarios were defined, to validate the capacity of the implemented framework and establish that it could serve as an interoperable and extensible foundation for other add-ons and graph-searching tools. The evidence from the simulation results indicates the speed and flexibility of the implemented environment for emulating the dynamic replanning problems in highly emergent scenario cases where the state space changes stochastically. © IFIP International Federation for Information Processing 2024.

Our paper focuses on software architectures in web application environments, specifically their evolution in client interface development. We will focus on implementing client interfaces with Micro Frontends, which are based on the principle of microservices. We will explain how to implement this architecture and integrate multiple Micro Frontends into a single web application. Additionally, we will evaluate the efficiency and performance of Micro Frontends compared to monolithic client interfaces. Finally, we will compare the performances of the two architectures and propose an improvement to implementing Micro Frontends. Our improvement proposal will explain how Micro Frontends can be implemented to create more modular and reusable user interfaces using well-known methodologies and design patterns.

The most common cause of blindness among diabetics is diabetic retinopathy. This disease must be detected in its early stages as delaying treatment can result in permanent blindness. In today’s modern world with the development of technologies, automated techniques have improved the accuracy and efficiency of detecting and classifying this disease. This study suggests a deep learning model utilizing EfficientNetB0 that focuses on designing a neural network structure that requires fewer parameters and computations compared to traditional architectures. Further to help in increasing the accuracy, the image is being processed with methods like CLAHE which is an image processing algorithm that helps in enhancing the contrast while keeping the noise of the images as low as possible. Also, augmentation is being done on the images and SMOTE is applied to handle class imbalance. We collected the APTOS Blindness Detection dataset consisting of retinal fundus images. The accuracy that is being obtained from the proposed methodology is 98.78% indicating the model's effectiveness in detection and classifying between the various stages of diabetic retinopathy. © 2024 IEEE.

The matching and linear matroid intersection problems are solvable in quasi-NC, meaning that there exist deterministic algorithms that run in polylogarithmic time and use quasi-polynomially many parallel processors. However, such a parallel algorithm is unknown for linear matroid matching, which generalizes both of these problems. In this work, we propose a quasi-NC algorithm for fractional linear matroid matching, which is a relaxation of linear matroid matching and commonly generalizes fractional matching and linear matroid intersection. Our algorithm builds upon the connection of fractional matroid matching to non-commutative Edmonds' problem recently revealed by Oki and Soma (2023). This paper focuses on addressing the challenge of estimating multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels for wireless communication between a ground base-station and a moving vehicle. One recently recognised model for time-varying channels incorporates spatial selectivity, which is referred to as beam squint, and is particularly relevant in the millimeter-wave (mmWave) range. In such scenarios, it is essential to account for the beam squint when attempting to recover channel parameters using a training sequence. However, the use of a training sequence alone may be insufficient for this purpose. To overcome this issue, in this work, we propose a channel estimation approach that exploits information provided by the control module of the vehicle, namely its velocity. The estimation problem that is designed, regards the channel both in a parametric and a non-parametric form and the alternating direction method of multipliers is utilised to efficiently solve it. It is demonstrated via simulations that considerable gains can be achieved if information from the control unit of the vehicle can be appropriately introduced and exploited. © 2023 European Signal Processing Conference, EUSIPCO.
