The medium access control (MAC) protocol plays a crucial role in wireless communications, influencing key performance metrics, such as energy consumption, delay, collision, and throughput. This paper introduces the Contend Node Restricted Joint Consecutive Packet Transmissions Receiver-Initiated (CNR-CPT-RI) protocol, specifically designed to minimize collisions and reduce energy consumption in wake-up radio-enabled wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The CNR-CPT-RI protocol is an effective communication protocol that is mainly applied with nodes in the one-hop range of the sink. Since the sink has the ability to control each node, it becomes feasible to manage the nodes in a way that effectively reduces collisions and enhances network lifetime as well as throughput. Moreover, the CNR-CPT-RI protocol can adaptively adjust the number of nodes participating in channel contention, maintaining it within an optimal range to balance reduced collisions, decreased energy consumption, and sustained high throughput. Furthermore, the winning node in channel contention employs Consecutive Packet Transmissions (CPTs) method to further diminish competition. Comprehensive theoretical and experimental results demonstrate that the number of collisions of the CNR-CPT-RI protocol is only 42.4%, 35.9%, and 32.5% of the baseline protocol when the number of nodes is 10, 20, and 30, respectively. The energy consumption of the CNR-CPT-RI protocol is reduced by 5.7%, 15%, and 22.6%, and the delay is decreased by 6.7%, 16%, and 32%, respectively, compared with that of the existing protocol. © 2017 IEEE.

In wireless communications, the Ambient Backscatter Communication (AmBC) technique is a promisingapproach, detecting user presence accurately at low power levels. At low power or a low Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR), there is no dedicated power for the users. Instead, they can transmit information by reflecting the ambientRadio Frequency (RF) signals in the spectrum. Therefore, it is essential to detect user presence in the spectrum forthe transmission of data without loss or without collision at a specific time. In this paper, the authors proposed anovel Spectrum Sensing (SS) detection technique in the Cognitive Radio (CR) spectrum, by developing the *** Matched Filter Detection with Inverse covariance (MFDI), Cyclostationary Feature Detection with Inversecovariance (CFDI) and Hybrid Filter Detection with Inverse covariance (HFDI) approaches are used with AmBCto detect the presence of users at low power levels. The performance of the three detection techniques is measuredusing the parameters of Probability of Detection (PD), Probability of False Alarms (Pfa), Probability of MissedDetection (Pmd), sensing time and throughput at low power or low SNR. The results show that there is a significantimprovement via the HFDI technique for all the parameters.

Market forecasts are more precise and effective thanks to the analysts. For providing higher returns, the trading firms efficiently mitigate the risk using Artificial Intelligence Techniques. Our proposed Stock Market system is a Web Application which uses the Random Forest Algorithm. The Random Forest Algorithm comes under Supervised Learning. The escalating integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various domains, especially Project Management (PM), has brought to light the imperative need for inclusivity in AI systems. This paper investigates the role of AI software in augmenting both the inclusiveness and efficiency within the realm of PM. The research pivots around specific criteria that define and measure the inclusiveness of AI in PM, highlighting how AI, when developed with inclusiveness in mind, can significantly enhance project outcomes. However, there are inherent challenges in achieving this inclusiveness, primarily due to biases embedded in AI learning databases and the design and development processes of AI systems. The study offers a comprehensive examination of AI's potential to revolutionize PM by enabling managers to concentrate more on people-centric aspects of their work. This is achieved through AI's ability to perform tasks such as data collection, reporting, and predictive analysis more consistently and efficiently than human counterparts. However, the incorporation of AI in PM extends beyond mere efficiency;it represents a paradigm shift in the epistemology of PM, calling for a deeper understanding of AI's role and impact on society. Despite these advantages, the adoption of AI comes with significant challenges, particularly in terms of bias and inclusiveness. Biased AI learning databases, which use shared and reusable datasets, often perpetuate initially discriminatory algorithms. Moreover, unconscious biases and stereotypes of AI designers, developers, and trainers can inadvertently influence the behavior of the AI systems they create. This necessitates a paradigmatic shift in how AI systems are developed and governed to ensure they do not replicate or exacerbate existing social inequalities. In recent years, data generated from diverse sources has grown exponentially, giving rise to new challenges for processing and analysis under the umbrella of “big data". Although various methods and platforms have been proposed to tackle these issues, there is still a need for a conceptual guide that synthesizes state-of-the-art tools and techniques across the full machine learning (ML) workflow. In this survey, we consolidate research on big data infrastructures, distributed processing frameworks, and ML methods, mapping out an end-to-end conceptual framework that can serve as a reference architecture for end-to-end deployment. Specifically, we discuss key aspects of big data analytics (storage solutions, platforms like Hadoop and Spark, NoSQL databases), preprocessing approaches (dimensionality reduction, instance selection, noise handling), ML algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, and emerging deep learning paradigms), and deployment considerations (monitoring, continuous integration, and versioning). By gathering and integrating these elements, our survey provides a comprehensive overview of existing solutions, clarifies the design choices developers must consider, and identifies research gaps that remain to be addressed.

With the gradual development in industrialization, the advent of computer and information technology has evolved in the field of engineering and construction industry. BIM technology has become a valuable part of prefabricated concrete engineering with the advancement of modern technology based on 3D modeling simulation. In order to realize the industrialization and automation of prefabricated concrete structures, this paper analyzes the characteristics of fabricated concrete structure and BIM, combining the two techniques. This work applies BIM to fabricated concrete design and chooses finite element analysis and calculation software ETABS to analyze the structure model. The results show that the mass participation ratio of the model studied in this paper reaches more than 90%, the interlayer displacement angle is less than 1/550, and the modal and shell internal force analysis results meet the requirements. In this paper, modal analysis, shell internal force analysis under live load and structural dynamic analysis under response spectrum load conditions were carried out on the ETABS model converted from the Revit model and the model directly established by ETABS. The ETABS model converted from the Revit model by the data interface plug-in can be used for structural analysis. © 2023, CAD Solutions, LLC. All rights reserved.

Microservice deployment in cloud computing is a challenging combinatorial optimization problem due to the complex dependencies among microservices and the intricate trade-offs among different QoS requirements, e.g., minimizing Energy Consumption (EC) vs. minimizing Communication Overhead (CO). Recently, some hyper-heuristics methods, particularly Genetic Programming Hyper-Heuristics (GPHH), have been proposed to automatically generate heuristics for solving dynamic microservice deployment problems. Meanwhile, Large Language Models (LLMs) are becoming popular for solving various domain-specific problems thanks to their strong ability to learn problem-related knowledge. However, hybridizing GPHH with LLM by combining their abilities in solving complex optimization problems remains unexplored. In this paper, we propose an LLM-enhanced Genetic Programming Hyper-Heuristic (LLM-GPHH) algorithm to evolve heuristics for the dynamic deployment of applications composed of microservices, to jointly optimize EC and CO. Regarding to the smart city infrastructures, there is a demand for big data processing and its further usage. This data can be gained by various means. There are many IoT devices in the city, which can communicate and share the information about the environment which they are situated in. Moreover every personal mobile device can also participate in this process and help to gain data via various applications. Every app provides the useful data, enabling the location and data sharing. This data can be further processed and used for improving the city infrastructure, transport or other services. We designed the system for shared delivery process, which can help to achieve the described situation. It consists of frontend and backend part. The frontend part, multiplatform mobile app, represents the graphical interface and the backend part represents the database for the gained data. © 2023, CC0.

Ensemble learning has gained attention due to its ability to improve predictive performance in classification and regression problems. However, there are several issues related to optimizing accuracy, diversity, and efficiency simultaneously in the ensemble learning process. Existing studies mostly focus on one or two of them, or focus on all three but only on the specific process of ensemble learning. Besides, the quantum approach has been expected to accelerate the optimization process while maintaining accuracy. The contribution of this study is to design a hybrid classical-quantum methodology for optimizing ensemble learning in a holistic way. This methodology combines classical (i.e. clustering, improved evaluation measures, and generalized weighted ensemble with internally tuned hyperparameters) and quantum (i.e. quantum annealing) approaches, and this methodology is analyzed to provide more optimal results. © 2022 IEEE.
