In this paper, we propose a novel hardening technique against Single Event Effects, which enables high-frequency operation and does not cause large power consumption and area overhead. The protection is based on redundancy, separation of the pipeline into two main sections, and is fully applicable at Register Transfer Level. It provides fast detection of faults, simple recovery by a flush of the pipeline, and allows a large prediction unit to be unprotected. We present the protection scheme at the core with the RISC-V instruction set. Simulations confirm that the protection can handle the injected faults. Synthesis shows that protection lowers the maximum frequency by only 3.9%. The area increase is only 108% and can be even lower. Total power consumption increased by 119%. © 2023 IEEE.

Optimizing therapy and rehabilitation for Parkinson's disease (PD) requires early identification and precise evaluation of the illness's course. However, there is disagreement about the best way to use gait analysis to categorize the severity of motor symptoms and identify early-stage Parkinson's disease. The precision of machine learning (ML) models in identifying early and intermediate stages of Parkinson's disease was assessed in this study. Six ML models are used in this study for the prediction of PD. Different metrics are used to evaluate ML models such as accuracy, precision, recall, f1-score, and AUC score. Then we propose a multi-criteria decision-making methodology (MCDM) to evaluate the ML models and select the best one. Two MCDM methods are used such as CRITIC method to compute the criteria weights and the TOPSIS method to rank the alternatives. These methods are used under the bipolar neutrosophic sets (BNSs) to deal with uncertainty information. The results show the support vector machine is the best ML model for the prediction of PD. © 2025, University of New Mexico. All rights reserved.

The prediction for Multivariate Time Series(MTS)explores the interrelationships among variables at historical moments,extracts their relevant characteristics,and is widely used in finance,weather,complex industries and other ***,it is important to construct a digital twin ***,existing methods do not take full advantage of the potential properties of variables,which results in poor predicted *** this paper,we propose the Adaptive Fused Spatial-Temporal Graph Convolutional Network(AFSTGCN).First,to address the problem of the unknown spatial-temporal structure,we construct the Adaptive Fused Spatial-Temporal Graph(AFSTG)***,we fuse the spatial-temporal graph based on the interrelationship of spatial ***,we construct the adaptive adjacency matrix of the spatial-temporal graph using node embedding ***,to overcome the insufficient extraction of disordered correlation features,we construct the Adaptive Fused Spatial-Temporal Graph Convolutional(AFSTGC)*** module forces the reordering of disordered temporal,spatial and spatial-temporal dependencies into rule-like *** dynamically and synchronously acquires potential temporal,spatial and spatial-temporal correlations,thereby fully extracting rich hierarchical feature information to enhance the predicted *** on different types of MTS datasets demonstrate that the model achieves state-of-the-art single-step and multi-step performance compared with eight other deep learning models.

Over the past few years, blockchain technology has gained significant attention. This surge in popularity can be attributed to the emergence of cryptocurrencies and the development of smart contracts. Cryptocurrency is a digital currency that eliminates the problem of double spending. Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Stellar, Zcash, Maker, Aave, etc. become popular and are preferred for money transfers. Smart contracts are the next popular technology on the blockchain after cryptocurrency. It can be considered a piece of code that can execute automatically when the predefined conditions are fulfilled. Researchers believe that the potential of blockchain with smart contracts is only in its initial stages and that its true potential has yet to be fully discovered. Hence, an extensive bibliometric analysis is conducted to understand blockchain trends for smart contracts and to give future directions in this field. For this analysis, various steps are followed, starting with formulating the research question, defining the scope of our research, extracting and analyzing data, answering the research question, and finally, drawing a conclusion. The rapid evolution of e-learning platforms necessitates the development of innovative methods to enhance learner engagement. This study leverages machine learning (ML) techniques and models to predict e-learning engagement with the aid of Electroencephalography (EEG). Various ML models, including Logistic Regression (LR), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest (RF), Gradient Boosting Machine (GBM), and Neural Networks (NN), were applied to a dataset comprising EEG signals collected during e-learning sessions. Among these models, NN demonstrated the highest accuracy (90%), with precision and F1-score of 88%, a recall of 89%, and an Area Under the Curve (AUC) of 0.92 for predicting engagement levels. The results underscore the potential of EEG-based analysis combined with advanced ML techniques to optimize e-learning environments by accurately monitoring and responding to learner engagement. The utilisation of cyber threat intelligence provides a multitude of advantages in the assurance of security. A growing body of research is being published on the subject of cyber threat intelligence. However, the precise sequence of steps involved in the cyber threat intelligence life cycle remains unclear. The life cycle presented in each study is not consistent. Moreover, the transition from data to intelligence throughout the life cycle is not sufficiently delineated. The intelligence produced in many studies can be of different types. In our study, all existing lifecycles were examined and their naming approaches were analysed. The objective was to present a cyber threat intelligence life cycle that is as atomic as possible, with each step clearly expressed. This should facilitate a more rigorous comparison of studies in the existing literature on cyber threat intelligence. Furthermore, the life cycle can be utilised in new cyber threat intelligence studies. Researchers who aspire to implement best practices in their study are able to run more effective processes by following the life cycle. © 2024 IEEE.

Visual impairment is characterized by the loss of vision, encompassing both complete blindness and partial vision loss. Studies reveal a notable prevalence of visual impairment among school-aged children. The significance of colors in acquiring and discerning visual information is crucial, aiding children in effectively perceiving and comprehending their surroundings. This study presents an Internet of Things (IoT) system designed for teaching colors to visually impaired children. The system achieved an accuracy rate surpassing 77.8%, and it is operated effectively regardless of surrounding lighting conditions. Given that the target users of the system are visually impaired children, this research was conducted in close alignment with Human-computer Interaction (HCI) principles. © 2024 IEEE.

Brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) analysis is a widely used medical procedure for the early diagnosis of various brain diseases. Accurate pathology identification during the brain MRI analysis procedure is crucial as misdiagnoses or missed findings can greatly affect a patient's treatment and long-term prediction. With the recent advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the medical field, researchers have approached various techniques to detect brain diseases using AI. Although AI models exhibit high accuracy, they suffer from a lack of transparency and interpretability, paving the way for the development of eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) methods in brain disease diagnosis. Image segmentation, machine learning, deep learning and XAI are important for assisting the diagnostic procedure. In this paper, a comprehensive overview of various existing techniques in brain disease detection using MRI is presented, starting with image segmentation techniques, followed by classification techniques, and finally, XAI techniques. In conclusion, the paper identifies a critical need for further research on XAI integration to advance brain disease detection. © 2024 IEEE.

When performing inference on sensor data, edge video analytics applications may not always need high-fidelity data, since important information may not appear all the time. Consequently, each edge AI application's bandwidth demand is highly dynamic. Thus, a shared edge system should dynamically allocate more bandwidth to the applications in need to reach high accuracy at each moment. However, previous bandwidth allocators are ill-suited because they are agnostic to the timevarying impact of bandwidth on each application's *** short paper explores a new accuracy-driven approach to bandwidth allocation, which periodically re-allocates bandwidth across edge AI applications based on the sensitivity of each application's accuracy to its bandwidth share. To examine its practical benefit and technical challenges, we present a concrete accuracy-driven bandwidth allocator called ConciERGE, which exposes a simple yet efficient interface to estimate each application's sensitivity to a small change in its bandwidth *** run CONCIERGE on state-of-the-art video-analytics applications with real video streams and show its early promise in greatly improving the inference accuracy of video analytics. © 2024 IEEE.

The Steam platform releases thousands of games almost every week, providing customers with many options, which require various considerations to make a purchase decision. Steam has features that can help consumers consider purchasing games, such as the help dashboard that provides information on game reviews and ratings. However, based on user input reviews, game ratings are still manual, which may cause human error and inaccurate results. To help gamers get the desired game information and increase customer purchasing power towards available games, sentiment analysis is one technique for classifying opinions. This study focuses on sentiment analysis of game reviews, which will result in classification into two classes, positive and negative. It will be measured for its performance based on the f1 score evaluation results. The proposed model that we created is to compare sentiment analysis models using the baseline Bi-directional Long-short Term Memory (BiLSTM), Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (BiGRU), and fine-tuning Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformer (BERT). We then propose another model, BiLSTM-CRF, by examining the effect of using the last four hidden states of BERT and comparing it with the last one hidden state of BERT to be used in the BiLSTM-CRF model. Based on the results of sentiment analysis models we developed for the ten most reviewed games on Steam, the BiLSTM model combined with CRF on the last four hidden states yielded the best performance, with an Fl score of 95.2 %. This score exceeds the baseline transformer-based model's Fl score of 88.0%. This is because combining BiLSTM and CRF allows the log-likelihood of the BiLSTM emission sample to be obtained more accurately so the model does not lose its context. © 2023 IEEE.
