Nowadays, most of the Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) entrepreneurs improves the effectiveness of product markets through the strategic implications of using a computer Aided Design system (CAD) in an attractive packaging design. Therefore, a CAD Packaging-computer Aided Design (PackCAD) prototype system was developed to support the design process of food products packaging. Modules developed provide user convenience to choose the pull-place (drag-drop) packaging form prepared in template (stored in the data library). Quality function development (QFD) method is used in both phase; the identifying user requirements phase and the verification and validation phase. Food packaging design files from CATIA V5R18 and AutoCAD2012 is used to perform verification and validation. This paper focus on produce House of Quality QFD diagrams related to the geometry data exchange from design files that have been constructed using PackCAD is readable and can be opened in other CAD software. SME entrepreneurs are able to design product packagings that were being produced by using PackCAD system with minimal skills in computer handling.

Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs) are becoming more essential to wireless communications due to growing popularity of mobile devices. Many researchers have committed effort to enhance the Multimedia (video) transmission over MANETs. Various algorithms and mechanisms concerning the optimization of multimedia transmission have been presented. In this work we evaluate the effect of using multiple interfaces and multiple channels per node in the performance of already existing MANET routing protocols during video transmission. The evaluation shows that all routing protocols benefit from using multiple interfaces and multiple channels per node, and the video transmission over MANETs is improved.

Robots also have been trusted to help human to complete difficult jobs, for example, finding for the earthquake, a fire, or a sinking ship victims. The robot must be reliable, clever and moving automatically. The aim of this study is to develop and apply the application of artificial RAM-based neural networks (WNNs) on a mobile robot using a multilayer processing architecture with memory optimizations on to address and input pattern, so that producing smart navigation model which it has a simpler computational load and faster execution time. The gained result from the first study was the percentage of memory optimization in the amount of 50%. This result obtained from the formerly RAM using 8 bit data width has been optimized to 4 bits. Both of the percentage of data optimization pattern is 93.75%. This percentage is obtained from the optimization pattern (pattern taken is 4 bits MSB), each 1 bit data can handle 15 unseen patterns.

One difficulty facing Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service providers is the issue of monitoring and managing their service delivery network. An in-depth monitoring regime is required, which performs measurements within different networking devices. When network conditions deteriorate to the point where they could disrupt IPTV services, Network Operators (NOs) can use the measurements as a basis to reconfigure the network with minimal delay. OpenFlow (OF) presents a potential solution to this problem as it provides vendor-neutral access to the packet forwarding interface of the different hardware device types. This work investigates how OF can leverage video packet inspection measurements taken from within the IPTV service delivery network and combine these with OF statistics to make decisions regarding routing in order to assure service quality.

We develop a new Web ontology rule language, called WORL, which combines a variant of OWL 2 RL with eDatalog $$^\lnot $$ . We allow additional features like negation, the minimal number restriction and unary external checkable predicates to occur at the left-hand side of concept inclusion axioms. Some restrictions are adopted to guarantee a translation into eDatalog $$^\lnot $$ . We also develop the well-founded semantics and the stable model semantics for WORL as well as the standard semantics for stratified WORL (SWORL) via translation into eDatalog $$^\lnot $$ . Both WORL with respect to the well-founded semantics and SWORL with respect to the standard semantics have PTime data complexity. In contrast to the existing combined formalisms, in WORL and SWORL negation in concept inclusion axioms is interpreted using nonmonotonic semantics.

Characterization of radio communication signals aims at automatic recognition of different characteristics of radio signals in order to detect their modulation type, the central frequency, and the level. The authors" purpose is to apply techniques used in image processing in order to extract pertinent characteristics. To the single analysis (recognition of membership of certain frequency signal to a radio communication using its characteristics), the authors add several rules for checking the consistency of hypotheses using fuzzy logic. This allows taking into account ambiguity and uncertainty that may remain after the extraction of individual characteristics. The task has been realized in MATLAB. The aim is to improve the process of radio communications characterization.
