Smart Building and its applications have become one of the essential ways of delivering a better quality of life and environment nowadays. The smart construction of building use the technology to share information between application by automate various processes, such as lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HV AC), security and other systems. A smart building and supervisory control systems infrastructure uses wired, wireless, and smart sensor networks to collect data according to the needs and services of the business. This paper presents a review and a comparison between the various communications technologies commonly used in smart building. Blockchain become well known as there is third-party contribution while doing the exchanges or transactions. Blockchain is the innovation for utilizing digital forms of money. It draws in the consideration of specialists and academicians, along with various highlights of Blockchain it is having the significant issue of versatility and scalability which can be classified into throughput, cost, limit, and systems networking. Scalability influences due to some different components like block size and block interval time which likewise may lessen the security. The system may get powerless against various attacks on the off chance that we indiscriminately change the scalability. To address these challenges, this paper con-ducts an intensive analysis of blockchain scalability challenges in the IoT context and subsequently proposes a generic model to enhance scalability. The investigation covers restrictions on different blockchain stages and how system parameters such as throughput, latency, block size, and network influence a peer-topper system's effectiveness, security, and energy consumption. © 2023 IEEE.

Magnesium-doped bismuth ferrite (BiFeO₃ or BFO) nanoparticles were fabricated through the sol–gel auto-combustion method to increase their photocatalytic performance. The synthesis parameters, specifically annealing temperature (400, 500, and 600°C) and Mg doping concentration (5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 %), were varied to investigate their effects on the photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B under simulated solar irradiation. The nanoparticles were then characterized using different analytical techniques to assess their structural, optical, and morphological properties. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results found that the existence of high intensity cubic sillenite phase, Bi₂₅FeO₄₀ as a secondary phase in 25 % Mg-doped bismuth ferrite nanoparticles with a crystallite size of 33.9 nm, which would enhance the photocatalytic performance. Besides, the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) analysis showed that the doping of Mg in the bismuth ferrite host structure significantly enhances superparamagnetic and soft ferromagnetic behavior as the dopant concentration increases from 5 to 25 % due to increase in saturation magnetization (from 2.28 emu/g to 6.19 emu/g) and reduction in coercivity (from 88.35 Oe to 49.81 Oe). Field emission scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (FESEM-EDX) micrograph shows the particles were fully crystallized with regular shapes, suggesting a uniform surface morphology. Ultraviolet–visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV–Vis DRS) found that the band gap narrows to 2.0 eV when introducing Mg doping. Based on the photocatalytic degradation activity of Rhodamine B using Mg-doped bismuth ferrite nanoparticle (annealing temperature of 600 °C, 25 % Mg concentration) successfully achieved 80 % at 60 min, which was verified using response surface methodology (RSM)-central composite design (CCD). In this article, we present a faceted search with new strategies that reward users with multiple dimensions or filters to scan. This is to allow users to identify the categories that they want and access the required data quicker, but they also contribute to the overall data fee. The cycle will continue but that does not mean that we should (or might) stop trying to improve our knowledge collection, distribution, and management methods. That is why we believe that filtering information overload is an extremely important issue for better decisions. Although there are numerous search engines, most of them cannot always make the search engines accessible details. To obtain information about a certain subject, searchers must perform inquiries. This information overload problem can be solved by exploratory search technologies. It is transparent and has many apps that can enable users to learn important information and increase their knowledge of the mission. The main contribution of this paper is to examine previous exploratory-based research, the technology and existing implementations used, such as faceted search as a method in which filters are built to restrict the search results. © 2020 IEEE.

Information is an integral part of any person's or organisation's life as important decisions are made based on them. As such there is a need to properly store/achieve, manage and easily retrieve important and sensitive information when necessary. However, the use of papers and manually sorting, storing, searching, retrieving and moving files is tedious, time-consuming and not very efficient. The purpose of this study is to elicit and model requirements for a data archival management system to be used in Veritas University, Abuja. The system when implemented will solve a good number of the complications involved in manually archiving and managing files in the institution. Current technological advancement and pressing environmental issues emphasise the need for better energy management to minimise wasting depleting resources. energy consumption can generally be divided into two, namely residential and commercial. Commercial energy consumption involves commercial buildings that include, but not limited to, banks, hotels, offices and academic buildings. While awareness on optimising energy use is more evident now, there is still a lack of understanding of the parametric values that are crucial in analysing the energy consumption of a commercial building that is unique to the building's function. This study aims to identify the relationships between a number of identified variables and the overall building energy consumption. The study intended to become the preliminary case study in identifying the correlations between selected variables and energy consumption. The analysis was carried out using covariance matrix on identified variables such as electricity consumption, user traffics, the maximum outdoor temperature of the month and the academic term. This study identified positive relationships between electricity consumption, user traffic, and maximum outdoor temperature. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study reports on the implementation of a web-based data archival management system. Informed and vital decisions are made on the basis of the information that is available to either individuals or organizations. Since information is important, it is needful to achieve and manage them properly for ease of their retrieval when needed. Nonetheless, the sorting, storing, searching, retrieving and moving of files has hitherto been done manually and with papers which is inefficient, tedious, and time-consuming. The paper presents a methodology for social distancing detection using deep learning to evaluate the distance between people to mitigate the impact of this coronavirus pandemic. The detection tool was developed to alert people to maintain a safe distance with each other by evaluating a video feed. The video frame from the camera was used as input, and the open-source object detection pre-trained model based on the YOLOv3 algorithm was employed for pedestrian detection. Later, the video frame was transformed into top-down view for distance measurement from the 2D plane. The distance between people can be estimated and any noncompliant pair of people in the display will be indicated with a red frame and red line. The proposed method was validated on a pre-recorded video of pedestrians walking on the street. The result shows that the proposed method is able to determine the social distancing measures between multiple people in the video. The developed technique can be further developed as a detection tool in realtime application. © 2020 IEEE.

In this paper, we present the results of a comparative evaluation of the performance of the Players Unknown Battleground (PUBG) Mobile app on iPhone X and Samsung S9 Plus smartphones. The outcome indicates that Samsung S9 Plus performed better than iPhone X as perceived by players of the PUBG mobile game. This finding suggests that the quality of iPhone X for PUBG mobile app play should be enhanced to improve on the experience of its users. © 2020 Mattingley Publishing. All rights reserved.

Cyberbullying is a variation of bullying that involves the use of technology to abuse others. This study examined the relationship between behavioural characteristics and cyberbullying profiles among youngsters. A total of 221 youngsters aged between 15-30 in Malaysia were surveyed, and their raw scores ran through statistical analysis. Findings show that the majority of the participants have never engaged in cyberbullying, but a few of them had experienced cyberbullying. Findings from the survey revealed that the percentages of female participants as cybervictims are higher (63.7%) than male participants (36.3%), while the percentages of male participants as bullies are higher (52.9%) than female participants (47.1%). The most prominent behaviour of cyberbullies is sending mean messages directly to cybervictims and the most prominent behaviour of cybervictims is being excluded from online groups. © 2022 IEEE.
