Matchmaking is one of the key issues in the field of Web services research community because it is the basis of doing service discovery and composition. Using ontology semantically express the capabilities of services, accurately match, discovery and composition service. In this paper we explore using concept and attribute of Web services to construct the ontology. Also, we present a novel technique for merging ontology between different services using concept lattice. This enables construct and merge small-scale domain ontology convenient.

This paper considers the design problem of the robust optimal state-feedback controllers for the uncertain nonlinear dynamic systems, where the uncertain nonlinear dynamic systems can be represented by the Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy-model-based dynamic systems with both elemental parametric uncertainties and norm-bounded approximation error. An integrative method, which complementarily fuses the robust stabilizability condition, the orthogonal-functions approach (OFA) and the hybrid Taguchi-genetic algorithm (HTGA), is presented in this paper to design the robust quadratic-optimal state-feedback controllers, in which the robust stabilizability condition is proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A design example is given to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed integrative optimization approach.

In this paper,volume models are obtained from closed surface models by an accurate voxelization method which can handle the hidden cavities. This kind of 3D binary images is then converted to gray-level images by a fast Euclidean distance transform (EDT).Moment invariants (MIs) which are invariant shape descriptors under similarity transformations,are then computed based on the gray images. Applications in shape analysis area such as principal axis determination,skeleton and medial axis extraction,and shape retrieval can be carried out base on EDT and MIs.

This paper is devoted to stability analysis and anti-windup design for linear time-delay systems subject to actuator saturation. A new Lyapunov-Krasovskii approach is presented, and a direct design algorithm is derived to compute the anti-windup compensator gain, which reduces the conservatism greatly. Both delay-independent asymptotic stability (DIAS) and delay-dependent asymptotic stability (DDAS) are dealt with respectively. Numerical examples are employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.

In this paper, we apply an improved immune algorithm to solve a circuit tolerance design problem, which has many design parameters and constraints. The evolutionary design approach, called a Taguchi immune algorithm (TIA), with a penalty function is proposed for solving the constrained optimization problem. The proposed TIA approach with a penalty function is effectively applied to solve the circuit tolerance design problem.

The design of an automobile fixture system should meet several interference-free requirements while locating fixture positions, e.g. (1) interference-free among various fixture modules, (2) interference-free among work pieces and fixture modules during clipping and moving and (3) interference-free among machining tools and fixture modules. Furthermore, a good design also needs to minimize the cost by selecting proper fixtures from the existed modular fixtures under clip-force limitations in the specification. To achieve multiple complex constraints and cost-minimum requirement, real-coded genetic algorithm (RGA) is proposed to resolve the optimum problem. Comparing to the traditional try-and-error method, the design based on this work is obviously cost-effective and time-saving by cutting down the total deign time and fixture assembling time due to the capability of finding more precise and complete solution.

Based on the Danger theory, the immune network theory and the decision templates fusion algorithm, a three-level-module adaptive intrusion detection system (TAIDS) is presented in this paper. To consider the effect of danger signals, the results of decision templates algorithm are redefined by adding a kind of suspicion signal. So, the detection templates should be modified online, and a template-adjustable adaptive decision fusion algorithm is proposed. There are two benefits in the TAIDS. First, when it is difficult to distinguish current behaviors depending on familiar features, The TAIDS will discriminate them by means of danger theory, making false alarms reduced and the ability of identifying novel attacks enhanced. Second, the adaptive decision templates algorithm allows detection templates to modify dynamically without periodical updating. Experiments are carried out on KDD-CUP-99 database to verify the performance of this system. The false positive rate is 2.27%,and the accuracies on known attacks and on unknown attacks are respectively 97.67% and 98.75%.

Noise reduction is an important image processing method which has wide applications in different fields. The key to noise reduction is to reduce the noise without deteriorating the important features in the images. Anisotropic diffusion filter is one of the methods which satisfy this need and draws much attention from researchers in the past. However, traditional anisotropic diffusion filter has many disadvantages, such as the sensitivity to the noise. In this paper, an improved anisotropic diffusion filter for preprocessing noised MR images is presented. The improved anisotropic diffusion filter uses adaptive threshold selection and a new gradient computation method, which is robust to noise. The proposed method was applied to real MR images and the results are impressive.

A novel frequency multiplier using a composite right/left-handed transmission line and defected ground structure (DGS) is proposed. The left-handed transmission line (LH TL) in the proposed frequency multiplier suppresses the fundamental component (f 0 ), while the dumb-bell or spiral shaped DGS diminish unwanted harmonics such as second, third, and fourth harmonic. The frequency multipliers are designed at f 0 of 1 GHz by the proposed technique and measured results are presented. The measured output power at 2f 0 , 3f 0 , 4f 0 , is -3.77 dBm, -6.70 dBm, -6.58 dBm, respectively, when the fundamental input power is 0 dBm.
