Herein, a new identity recognition method of plantar pressure image (PPI) was investigated based on compressed sensing. During the process of identity recognition, the PPIs were collected with platform system in normal walking speed. The sparse representation of PPI was then obtained according to the sparse basis (i.e., wavelet basis). Finally, measurement vectors were calculated by the Topelitz measurement matrix and the PPI was recognized by compressed sensing classifier. The results showed that the accuracy of identity recognition of PPI based on compressed sensing exceeded 97.76%, demonstrating the effectiveness and stability of the Topelitz-compressed sensing algorithm. Meanwhile, the method used in this study reduced the data storage amount and increased the real-time recognition during the PPI process.

Fusion of multi-spectral image and panchromatic image based on support vector regression

In our study, support vector value contourlet transform is constructed by using support vector regression model and directional filter banks. The transform is then used to decompose source images at multi-scale, multi-direction and multi-resolution. After that, the super-resolved multi-spectral image is reconstructed by utilizing the strong learning ability of support vector regression and the correlation between multi-spectral image and panchromatic image. Finally, the super-resolved multi- spectral image and the panchromatic image are fused based on regions at different levels. Our experi- ments show that, the learning method based on support vector regression can improve the effect of super-resolution of multi-spectral image. The fused image preserves both high space resolution and spectrum information of multi-spectral image.

Constructive Interference (CI) proposed in the existing work (e.g., A-MAC [1], Glossy [2]) may degrade the packet reception performance in terms of Packet Reception Ratio (PRR) and Received signal Strength Indication (RSSI). The packet reception performance of a set of nodes transmitting simultaneously might be no better than that of any single node transmitting individually. In this paper, we redefine CI and propose TriggerCast, a practical wireless architecture which ensures concurrent transmissions of an identical packet to interfere constructively rather than to interfere non-destructively. CI potentially allows orders of magnitude reductions in energy consumption and improvements in link quality. Moreover, we for the first time present a theoretical sufficient condition for generating CI with IEEE 802.15.4 radio: concurrent transmissions with an identical packet should be synchronized at chip level. Meanwhile, co-senders participating in concurrent transmissions should be carefully selected, and the starting instants for the concurrent transmissions should be aligned. Based on the sufficient condition, we propose practical techniques to effectively compensate propagation and radio processing delays. TriggerCast has 95 th percentile synchronization errors of at most 250ns. Extensive experiments in practical testbeds reveal that TriggerCast significantly improves PRR (from 5% to 70% with 7 concurrent senders, from 50% to 98.3% with 6 senders) and RSSI (about 6dB with 5 senders).

There is always a compromise between unambiguous wide-swath imaging and high cross-range resolution owing to the constraint of minimum antenna area for conventional single-channel spaceborne synthetic aperture radar(SAR)*** overcome the inherent systemic limitation,multi-channel SAR imaging has been ***,this still suffers from various problems such as high system *** simplify the system structure,a novel algorithm for high resolution multi-ship ScanSAR imaging based on sparse representation is proposed in this paper,where the SAR imaging model is established via maximum a posterior estimation by utilizing the sparsity prior of multi-ship *** the scheme,a wide swath is generated in the ScanSAR mode by continuously switching the radar footprint between ***,high crossrange resolution is realized from sparse subapertures by exploiting the sparsity feature of multi-ship *** particular,the SAR observation operator is constructed approximately as the inverse of conventional SAR imaging and then high resolution SAR imaging including range cell migration compensation is achieved by solving the *** with multi-channel SAR imaging,the system complexity is effectively reduced in the ScanSAR *** addition,enhancement of the cross-range resolution is realized by incorporating the sparsity prior with sparse *** a result,the amount of data is effectively *** based on measured data have been carried out to confirm the effectiveness and validity of the proposed algorithm.

In this paper,a novel adaptive interference suppression algorithm is proposed for high dynamic GPS (global positioning system) *** new method incorporates derivative constraints on the inter-ference DOA (direction of arrival) into power minimization approach,which could broaden the width of nulls in the interferences directions and adapt to the rapid change of the interference *** with the traditional wide nulling algorithm based on the derivative constraints,the new method does not have to know or estimate the DOAs of the desired signal and the *** new method is firstly discussed in the context of spatial processing,and then extended to space-time adaptive processing to mitigate wideband diffusive multipath *** of the new method is verified via simulation examples.

With the powerful development of pedestrian detection technique based on sliding-window and machine-learning, detection-based tracking systems have become increasingly popular. Most of these systems rely on existing static pedestrian detectors only despite the obvious potential motion information for people detection. This paper proposes a novel pedestrian detection framework fusing static and dynamic features. Motion cue is firstly used to detect potential pedestrian regions. Secondly, static detector scans potential regions to get candidate pedestrian detections. Final detection results are improved by removing false detections based on their motion distribution. The proposed framework significantly raises detection speed and detection performance. Static detector of pedestrian in this paper is trained by AdaBoost with simplified HOG feature (1HOG). Additionally, we introduce a detection-window-pyramid based scanning strategy for quickly extracting 1HOG features. The experimental results on several public data sets show the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2012 IEEE.

In this paper, the fast multipole method (FMM) combined with higher-order basis function method based on the best uniform approximation theory is applied to solve scattering problems of perfectly electrical conduct (PEC). To expand the current by using an appropriate best uniform approximation high-order basis function, then solve the electrical field integral equation (EFIE) using the FMM. It shows in the present examples that the proposed method has higher computational precision than the ordinary FMM in the same subdivision case, this work can provide with some reference value to further research on solving other integral equations. © 2012 IEEE.

Secure Cooperative Spectrum Sensing based on the Distance between Bodies of Evidence

In cognitive radio (CR) networks, unlicensed secondary users need to conduct spectrum sensing to gain access to a licensed spectrum band. And cooperation among CR users will solve the problems caused by multipath fading and shadowing. In this paper, we propose a multi-threshold method at local nodes to cope with noises of great uncertainty. Functions of distance between bodies of evidence are used at fusion centre to make synthetic judgment. To guarantee security which is an essential component for basic network functions, we will take selfish nodes into account which try to occupy channels exclusively. The proposed technique has shown better performance than conventional algorithms without increase the system overhead.
