Then we extend the SILBP to linear SILBP. Automatic detection of commercials in digital multimedia material is a challenging task with many applications. This paper presents a novel approach to fast commercial detection based on audio retrieval. It is based on the idea of segmenting energy envelope of audio into units, using only audio signal for matching on a commercial database. Fast searching and matching can be performed with high accuracy, by searching and by novel similarity function based on units. Experimental results show that 96.8% recall rate and 98.7% precision rate can be achieved under 0.125 real-time.

It is well-known that finding paths with minimum hop count leads to poor performance in wireless mesh networks (WMN) because the assumption of the same transmission failure probability in all links may not be true. A routing metric can assist traditional routing protocol in selecting better paths by explicitly taking the interference, delay etc. into account. This paper presents a thorough review and a comparison of 10 kinds of routing metrics designed for diverse QoS requirements in WMN. Meanwhile, this paper classifies these routing metrics into three basic types, ETX-based metrics, mETX, and some other metrics less attractive to WMN routing layer, for better understanding and future applications. To the best of our knowledge, no paper except this one has such a comprehensive review of routing metrics utilized in WMN.

A texture classification method based on the Wavelet-based contourlet transform (WBCT) and Clonal selection algorithm (CSA) was proposed in this paper. First, an iterative filer bank is combined with wavelet and Directional filter bank (DFB), and then its energy measures are calculated as feature vectors which a K nearest neighbor (KNN) classifier is followed to classify. It's shown that the proposed method is superior to the widely used methods based on wavelet and on contourlet. Furthermore, it is emphasized that in order to reduce the high dimension of feature vectors, two methods are introduced in this paper. One is based on rearranging coefficients, and the other is a feature selection algorithm based on CSA. The experimental results show that CSA can efficiently reduce the dimension of features while getting higher accuracy.

The measurement of granules is the most foundational problem in granular computing. The paper is intended to study the measurement of granules on a finite or infinite set. For a finite set we discuss the measurement of granules corresponding to an equivalence relation on a finite set and introduce a definition of conditional granularity in order to distinguish those granules with the same granularity. For an infinite set we can define different granularity in different questions, but we give the basic idea of granularity, that is, the granularity of a granule is the sum of the relative information contents of its atomic granules.
